We checked the reviews for this place and decided to give it a try anyway. The girl serving us was pleasant. The atmosphere had a Happy Days vibe and seemed very clean. As far as the food goes, yes, the burgers were incredibly small! I was shocked at how tiny they were. I thought the flavor was good. My husband didn't like it. The French fries were just frozen crinkle fries, but there were so few that it didn't really matter. The onion rings were okay, but again, the order was very small. The food was absolutely amazing. I almost always buy a bacon double cheeseburger deluxe, or double cheeseburger deluxe. With a tub of fries, fry sauce, and a small milkshake. The milkshake is almost always out as soon as I sit down, and my burger and fries are out soon after. The cooks are almost always quick, and efficient. The surf board on the wall, and motorcycle in the middle are my favorite parts of their decor. Stopped here for a bio break and decided to try a few things as a snack for our road trip! We got the fish and chips and a vanilla shake.. the fish was nice and light but a little over cooked, but the fries were awesome! The shake was pretty much just vanilla soft serve with a straw, but still good. A lot of people ordered huckleberry lemonade and huckleberry milkshakes, so I can only assume they're pretty good! What a great burger! I have to agree with the other review, it is a nod to In-n-Out. The cheese is thick and melted and the meat is well seasoned. I got the deluxe double burger meal. Before I give this review I would just like to state that in all fairness I did visit twice hoping that the second time would be better than the first... Unfortunately that was not the case. Basically this is somewhere you only want to go if you are absolutely desperate to eat something... and even if that was the case you could probably find better food at better prices at the Nomnom gas station just down the road. The people who have left reviews comparing this dump to In-N-Out either have only been to an In-N-Out once or twice or they are so desperate for fast food that they have forgotten how good In-N-Out is compared to this hole. There is absolutely no comparison whatsoever! Everything about this place reeks of a business about to go under. There are never enough employees and the ones that work there are very rude. The food is of the absolute poorest quality and the prices reflect the fact that they think they are far more special than they really are. Who charges six and seven dollars for a milkshake? The owner clearly has no clue about running a successful business. I went in because I wanted a root beer float. The menu stated that root beer floats were $3.50 or something like that. When I asked the girl about the size she said it came in a tiny little child's cup. That was the first indication that I should've just walked out the door. The help is so inept, it's ridiculous. I have never paid more than $3.50 or $4.00 for a gigantic root beer float at A&W. I guess they think they have the corner on the fast food market because they are the only fast food place in the top of the panhandle. Best substitute for In-n-Out I've found in Idaho, with a few more options for your burger such as a slice of ham. I got a lettuce wrapped Beast, and dang was it a good burger. Patties cooked just right. It was flavorful and well integrated flavor. The cheese was perfectly melted and all of the flavors combined to wow me with an In-N-Out-esque "damn that was a good burger" when I was done. Also you can't mistakenly walk into the wrong gender bathroom as I did. That ladies room is a serious shade of pink. It was so pink, thought I was being birthed all over again. Not impressed! Got a basic cheese burger. No frills. Comes with mustard, ketchup and pickle for 3.69! Guess it wouldn't be too bad except one will find it hard to distinguish between the pickle and the burger party because the burger party is that small. This burger used to be 1.49 and the burger party was the same size as the bun. Now the burger party is 1/2 the size of the bun and about as thin as the 4.00 or took to buy it. If you like overpriced burned onion rings that are floating in grease in the bottom of the tub they are served in, and that are cooked and served by high school kids with no adult supervision, then you might like this place. I try to support local businesses but at $14 and change for a large shake and large onion rings (and I had to throw away half of the burned union rings), I won't be back. The rumor is that a Sonic is supposed to be on the way close to 3 mile junction just north of town.
