It's a fast food restaurant. Ray Croc was certainly very intelligent, and recommend seeing the movie called "The Founder." Michael Keaton is excellent. This is yet one of many in the chain. On a plus note the ice cream machine consistently works here. Small miracles can happen. Dining in is comfortable, and it's clean inside also. Sometimes miss the bright red and yellows of yesteryear, as they now look more mature and dated. The drive thru is quite good here. The employees are both diligent and efficient. Wait times are reasonable, and if in a hurry, this can be a option to consider. read more

I remember when this used to be a Roy Rogers. My food was fine and the value cannot be beat. McDonald's as a franchise has perfected the fast convenient market and with their standardized practices, you can always count on clean facilities. There was only one problem as a cashier scolded me for using their outside trash receptacle as I picked up loose trash on their property and put it in the trash. One thing I can always count on at McDonald's though - a delicious caramel sundae with nuts to top off a nice meal. read more

I recently had one of the worst experiences at this McDonald's of all time. First off, just ordering took over 20 minutes to complete from them, leaving and assisting me, to denying my payment. to make matters worse, the staff seemed confused and honestly, they kept lying to me about payment to avoid it. All I was trying to do was use my code and pay showing proof that they kept charging me. Then, when the manager stepped in, he was very confused because he told me that they were still going to make my order since it popped up on the order system showing that I already paid. This was very upsetting because of another lower rank to McDonald's employee, trying to interfere by cussing about me thinking that I don't speak Spanish . in these terms, I feel very racially targeted and I feel that McDonald's should not do that. The last manager, did not refund me because of the other lower rank employee denying that I paid and canceling the order they were not honest and not straightforward, which I did not appreciate, but by that time I was already fed up with the entire thing and i wanted to get out of there. It's unacceptable that I just to get a simple answer, especially when I was already waiting longer for my food to add on I also had to wait over 13 minutes, just to received my food watching other customers receive theirs before mine ordering after me. my friend and I also had to come up to the counter to make sure they were weren't spitting in my food because of the laughter and horseplay behind the counter. I think this is an unacceptable experience and I will not be visiting this McDonald's again. read more

Stopped by to try the new crispy chicken sandwich and for the return of the Shamrock shake. First impression: packaging looks VERY familiar. After opening, noticed the chicken patty was a little on the small side. While the bun was tasty, the chicken had 0 crisp. If they really want to compete with chick fil a, they should offer a sauce to accompany the sandwich. If we are comparing the crispy chicken sandwich only, Popeyes is the way better. read more

Loud and disgusting! 15 tables. 8 were occupied. 5 of the remaining tables were not wiped off and had "stuff" on them (food, spills, etc.). The music was so loud that the people at the counter couldn't hear our order....I ended up with a chicken sandwich instead of a salad with grilled chicken. Update: You can't put lipstick on a pig and call it pretty! Well, you can, but that doesn't mean it is! Newly remodeled, but still disgusting. Trash all over. The restroom was really bad. Despite not having a happy meal, I don't think that I could have been more pleased with my walk down memory lane with my cheeseburger. Beef patty with cheese, pickles, ketchup, and onions! It's not that great, and yet it is.....so hard to describe that nostalgic feeling. Also I had the MCRIB last night !!!! I haven't had one of these since they first came out with the Flintstones movie in the 90's. I rather enjoyed it, but perhaps it was the particular store, but there was too much onion in my sandwich and too little sauce. This is the best McDonalds I've ever encountered. Today was my second visit to this location and they delivered again on speed and service. Everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful. I've gone through the drive through during the breakfast and lunch rush. Food is hot (especially the fries). I rarely leave reviews but they deserve some recognition! Uh...McD's (hm...excluding Arby's curly fries, those are fun and yum.) Which fast food chain has better frozen sweet treats? McD's (yeah, put that Frosty down and grab a McFlurry!) What is more classic than a happy meal from McD's? Nothing. Of all the kids meals I've had in my adult life, none make my heart smile like a kid's meal from McDonalds. So it was a long day, I needed a burger. Specifically, a McDonald's burger. I got my one patty burger...and split a McRib...and fries...and their limited time only, Pumpkin Pie. Once I bit into my burger and felt the stress exit my body, and the fat come in. Long day, over. As for the McRib I was told I must try, I've come to the conclusion that I think I could live without. Too many onions, too little sauce. It was just weird. The pumpkin pie I bought on impulse? I could also live without. It tasted like canned pumpkin shoved into their pie crust. This place is really a hit or miss. If you come for breakfast, during the morning rush - it's a hit. Food is right, prepped quick - in and out. If you show up at any other time though, it's a miss. Lunch drive through is long. Most recently - and the real reason for this review, my kids wanted the Pokemon happy meals, which started either today or yesterday. After getting our order and getting home - they were not happy opening their Pokemon Happy Meal box to get one or two Hasbro toys! This restaurant has been bad for awhile and it is getting way worse. The orders are never delivered correctly, the staff is ambivalent at best and more often rude or outright insulting. Tonight's order was missing two items. The burgers were not wrapped- more like the wrapper was used to pick up the sandwich to throw in the bag. The regular burgers were also stale, as if sitting under the heat lamp too long. Wife threw out the bun. Desserts were just the ingredients piled into a cup, with a pool of the green shamrock sludge poured on top, no mixing, with a good amount of sludge on the outside of the cup. The only thing to be "thankful" for is when we drove back through, they brushed us off with a dismissive an apology - blaming it on being "too busy" (three cars deep was the apparent threshold). The clear message the manager conveyed as she blankly looked me in the eye was 'does it look like I care''? She walked away mid-sentence, clearly uninterested in dealing with complaints or criticism. It is inexcusable in any context, but at $50 for a family of 4, it is unacceptable. We've sworn off this McDonald's for no shorter than 1 year. I don't expect any change, but I do expect we'll avoid frustration and rip offs from this franchise. This restaurant is in our neighborhood. If it is going to consistently deliver poor quality meals with a super-sized side of ambivalence, it doesn't deserve to be part of our community. Since I have to give it one star, I'll say it is because at least there was food in the bag. read more

I've never have any problems at this place. I've been during rush hour, in the middle of the night, and just randomly during the day. The staff is always friendly, either when coming to the counter or through the drive through. I always get what I order and I get it quickly. During peak quarantine the place installed a very strong alcohol hand sanitizer and that was amazing. I've been to other places and it just never felt as clean. Went through the drive-thru and ordered two six count nugget Happy Meals. Made it home only to realize the happy meals had no nuggets - only fries, apple slices, and the toy. The phone numbers online and the receipt do not connect to the restaurant, so the only option is driving back. Needless to say two kids were less than impressed with their meal. read more

I can't remember the last time I felt the need to write a review...but today's bad experience merits one. I ordered a spicy sandwich, paid extra for lettuce and tomato. I received a sandwich that was not spicy and didn't have tomato. Proceeded to get back in the Drive-thru line, explained the situation and the first person I spoke to was slightly pleasant (not really), he said: "go to the 2nd window and they will help you!" I get to the 2nd window and I'm told I need to come inside to speak to a manager. I asked for the manager to come to the window and explained the situation. She said: "please park at #1 and in about 20-30 minutes if we have time, we will come out and assist you!" I lost it and left. Where did these folks learn customer service?!?! This is my worst McDonald's stop in 60 years and I own over 100 shares of their public stock (MCD) shares. On Jan 22, 2020, 6:03PM, I ordered one Crispy Chicken SouthWest Salad and one Filet-o-Fish. Received a Fried Chicken Salad, not Crispy, which was otherwise satisfactory, with fresh salad greens. The Filet-o-Fish could only be described as wet fish wrapped in a soggy-wet bun, with a pungent fish odor that I estimate was hours old. It appeared the Filet had been brought back to life with a massive microwave dose and sold during the dinner hour. Will not return to this location although I frequent McDonald's from Europe to Northern Japan. I retain the Order (41) receipt for future reference. read more

We've been to this location a number of times both pre and post renovation. Almost all of our trips something of our order is not correct. Today I went for a shake and was told they don't have shakes (not that the machine is broken). I asked for a sundae instead and was told they don't have ice cream. Have to second the remarks about how crazy the parking lot can be here, and how badly designed it is to handle the volume. Going through the Drive-Thru can turn into a death match when the two ordering lines converge into the payment line before the first window -- seems like there is always someone willing to ram you to get ahead. The recent remodel helped the interior a lot but it all goes to waste if the staff can't keep the tables clean and orders get mixed up. This McDonalds serves a key role for the community, especially as a place for long-time residents and construction workers to eat -- and who always have a smile for the kids. Come in, grab a big gray booth (don't mind the mess), and relax for a bit. read more

I never really like visiting this McDonald's. It reminds me of the subtle irritations and battles that I have with suburbia and makes me question why I'm buying a house in the middle of it all. The long lines at the drive thru (all SUVs of $40,000 starting or more), the elderly folks who think this place has a kick ass breakfast, and the unfriendly Latin American staff all make me want to avoid this place like the plague. I only end up there when my wife is like, "honey....I'd REALLY like an iced coffee right now..." To such a request, a man can only comply. BUT! This buffalo chicken dip. MW: *groans, takes the dip and tosses it back into the container before slapping the right sauce in my hand and turning her back on me...AGAIN* Me: Miss, could I have one more? MW: *slaps three more into my hand and I drop one* Me: Umm....thanks? *drive off* I wanted to park and go back in to pull out the long tree branch that was apparently jammed up her ass earlier that day. While I understand that minimum wage rarely allows for pleasant conversation or an overwhelmingly happy employee, I'd at least hope that you can say the expected, "hello, thank you, and good bye" that's expected at a drive thru. Drive thru was backed up around the restaurant, understandably it was lunch hour, but when you wait for 15 mins to order and then get to the man outside and he tells you no credit cash only. Been here three times now at the crack of dawn. Ordered my beloved egg and cheese bagels (2) and a large Diet Coke. Got exactly what I ordered except the bagels have been burned every time. In fact I'm pretty confident that the level of burn has increased exponentially with every visit. What's going on in there? I was the only one in line all three times. We can't handle a rush of one? Were the staff assembling IKEA furniture in the back and lost track of two bagels on the toaster? This isn't difficult, people. No litmus paper is required nor is a special scan or probe needed to measure the burniness or calculate a char rating of a bagel. If the bagel looks burned, toss it. Don't then slop some egg and cheese on it. Dude? I can see that it is burned. You fool no one. In fact they were so burned this morning that I just dumped the unsalvageable bagels and ate the egg and cheese like some kind of barbarian. Luckily I am one so shoving messy food in the face with bare hands is my jam. If I get burned bagels again I'll have to start collecting information about the employees to enter into a database and cross-reference to see exactly which ones also work at the Sterling Park McDonald's, another establishment that can't seem to not burn the bagels. We ordered food there, which was supposed to arrive after 15 minutes. After 45 minutes we got a call from the delivery guy, if we had our food already, because at McDonalds it was gone. I was running between a meeting in Tysons and my office with two others and we and wanted to grab some breakfast. The drive thru was backed up and I prefer not to eat and drive, so I figured I'd run in to eat. The dining room was clean and well kept, the order was quickly taken and served, but then I turn around to see there was absolutely no place to sit. All of the tables were taken up by septuagenarians milking their senior coffees and middle-aged lonely guys sitting at a table for four by themselves reading the newspaper who clearly finished their food 30 minutes ago. There are two tall stand up tables, but those too were full. I pointed out to the staff that there was no where to eat and people were clearly done eating but were just hanging out and they just stared at me and smiled. The woman behind me overheard me and replied "They won't do anything..." and she was right. I ended up having to hover for quite a while to snag a table for two to sit for the three of us and ask a newspaper reader who was sitting by himself at a table for four who was clearly done eating when we had first walked in. When we left, there were several tables that were still occupied by the same people who were there when we had arrived who were done eating. It's ridiculous that with such limited seating they'd tolerate people just lingering. I bet if they were teenagers just hanging out that they'd kick them out. read more

I live near this McDonalds and have frequented the place often over the years. They do have the fasted drive thru you will ever experience. However, this place is so focused on making a buck that they simply don't care about their customers. They messed up my order once last month and basically forced me to wait for replacement food rather than refund my money (I was in a hurry and did not want to wait). Then, today I went there today with my family. They stacked our order on a tray as we were eating in the restaurant. when I picked up the tray a box of chicke nuggets fell off the top onto the floor and opened. I picked them up, put them in the trash and asked for another box (the cashier had been watching the entire thing). The cashier insisted I pay for the replacement food. Sort of crazy given that they are the ones that stacked the food on the tray. In any case, I don't care about the $4. I am just sick of giving my $ to a place where the management clearly does not care about their customers. If you are in McLean, I would recommend the Subway 2 blocks from this McDonalds if you want fast food. Clean, nice and well managed. read more
