Stopped by on the way to Alabama Hills and glad we did! Definitely one of the nicer and cleaner McDonald's I've been to. The service here is great. We went through the drive thru which was super quick. When they saw that we had a dog they even offered dog biscuits for him. That was so nice! The food was hot and the chicken nuggets and fries weren't stale. The order was also perfect- no mistakes. In addition they have the hot mustard sauce for the fries!! This is the most disgusting McDonald's I've ever been to and trust me I've been to a lot. The only reason I put 1 star is because it won't let me put 0. I usually don't review fast food places but my propane stove failed and this place came in clutch. When I was camping at Alabama Hills I couldn't cook and was deceived by the feeling of isolation thinking food was very very far away. Got some reception and saw this place was only 15 min away! Hopped in the car to get breakfast the next morning. No issues at all. Nice drive through (although a bit tight). Food and coffee was what you expect from a McDonald's. I saw another review complain about their drinks not being full but when you look through the drive through window there's a machine that auto fills the drinks so if you're worried about that don't. read more

I noticed that there is a sign on the coke fountain saying if you leave you cannot get a refill. WTF. Oh well. We come here for a pee break sometimes on the way home from our fishing trips up in Mammoth Lakes. We passed though Lone Pine on a road trip around lunch time, and our wee, hangry children spied the Golden Arches of McDonald's. My husband and I shrugged in agreement at each other that this place looked clean and safe enough for a 4 & 1 year old, so we parked and entered the restaurant. As I walked in, I very literally turned to my husband and whispered "This place is fancy AF", because seriously, it is. Inside I found the cleanest McDonald's I have ever been in in my entire thirty-something years! I didn't even have to wipe off the table before o let my kids eat (I mean, I still did because, germs, but I didn't feel like we were eating off a questionable surface)! If you've been to a McD's recently, you know the food is better than ever, so we'll skip over that part and say that even though the place was reasonably busy, the line went quickly and the food was delivered equally as such. Only heads-up I want to give is the bathroom stall arrangement could use some improvements. There are only two women's stalls (one stall in the men's and one urinal, too FYI), and when you open the handicapped stall door, you risk bumping whoever is washing their hands at the sink (husband said a similar thing happens in the men's bathroom, except with the hand dryer). So, you know, just keep an eye out for your fellow human when you're in the bathroom! Overall, a great McDonald's and will stop again in a heartbeat if we roll through Lone Pine with the hungry, wee ones. read more

While I'm immensely understanding of the dining area being closed in accordance to the COVID-19 pandemic, there's literally no reason other than pure laziness to not have your restrooms in use for paying customers. Lone Pine is an incredibly small town as it is, and quite literally the only location with civilization within a 50 mile radius; where else do you expect decent human beings consuming your food/drink to relieve themselves? The reality is, you simply don't want to have to be bothered with cleaning your restrooms on a regular basis, so you use the pandemic as a crutch to do the least amount of work possible. On a separate note- kind of hilarious that literally EVERY customer in your drive-thru is forced to come into the restaurant because you can't even do the minimum work of making the most simple food correctly. I mean, your dining area is now filled with 12+ people (despite already being closed off into one tiny section), and you're concerned about COVID regulations? Laughable. read more

We stopped for breakfast at the McDonald's in lone pine, on Aug 14th, 2022. as we entered the place, we saw flys every where. We ordered two egg mcmuffins, one hash brown and one coffee, for $19 dollars, very pricey. We also asked for just a cup of water and was told it would be $1 dollar extra. I asked for the manager, she said it was perfectly legal to charge for water. You would think with all the money mcdonalds makes off of its customers, they could afford to give Free water. The only McDonald's for many miles between Bishop and Bakersfield, California, this Lone Pine location will prove to be a late night oasis for the unlucky traveler looking to make a stop in the area after 8pm. As usual, you will find many inedible items on the menu, but try and get their new pineapple and mango smoothie. I really don't like giving these low reviews. I have frequented this location many times each year on our trips. I have never been more disappointed. They were under construction, no issues with that. Where my issue is when they are "have no fountain drinks" to offer. I was ordering a nugget meal for a child and the only drink substitute other than tea or coffee products was a shake. I expected the shake to be part of the meal, they would NOT give me the shake as part of the meal. It was an additional cost! So I had to pay for a drink that I did not get AND a shake that I really didn't want! I requested the shake as part of the meal multiple times since it was not my issue that they did not have the fountain drinks. The employee said she could "not override the transaction" - Total BS! I paid over $11 for 10 nuggets, fries, and a shake that didn't even get consumed! I'll not be frequenting that location again! POOR customer service. When it is the restaurant's fault for the lack of items, there should be reasonable accommodations made especially when it is part of a meal package! read more

Passing through Lone Pine on way to So Cal today and decided to go to the drive thru at McDonalds. The only reason they get 2 stars is because the employees at both windows were very pleasant and professional. We got our food and I must say I thought the McDonalds in our town (Minden,NV) was the worst but they now have compettion with this location. The soda was off, the fries were room temp and our burgers tasted like they were made hours previous. We would have brought it back but we were already down the road.
