Best tacos I've had in a while! Got carne asada, chicken, and pork. The pork is absolutely incredible - worth the stop! They also have the glass bottle Colas. Also incredible views of the mountains at sunset, great outdoor seating area for you to enjoy (devour lol) your tacos and admire the view. Loved that we were able to also enjoy a meal with our dog outside. Note: Make sure you have cash on you as it's cash only.

Amazing carne asada tacos. Brother in law had the adobada tacos and he said those were really good too. The avocado salsa is high level and a must. Great stop along the way to Mammoth, outdoor patio tables, and dog friendly. Would highly recommend. Next time I'm trying the burrito.

So, we're peaking. My boyfriend ate 4, could have eaten 10+. Carnitas was our favorite, so juicy, so delicious. Cash only, worth every dollar.

Omg it's a new favorite place on my trek down 395. I'm somewhat of a taco snob & this little taco truck knocked it outa the park. Got my meal to go so I could watch the sunset from my camp spot. They were fast & affordable, just what I needed after a long drive!

Lunch stop! Blows the two chain fast food restaurants in the town out of the water. Tacos: on point. Fresh meat & tortillas Spouse: carne quesadilla. 4/5 stars. 5/5 stars factoring in the location Kids: it's good. 4/5 stars We took our food to go and ate in the car. If you want to stay to eat, seating is outside; one plastic table shaded by a tarp hanging off the truck.

Short: Street tacos the way they should be, cheap, tasty, and fast! This place checks every box! Long: Tacos Los Hermanos is everything you need a taco truck to be! The food here was some of the best street tacos I have had in a long time, seems very random out in Lone Pine! All of the tacos were great, however my favorite by far was cachetes! The meat was so juicy and tender. Service was friendly and fast and the tacos were out very quickly. Small area to sit, however it does get hot here!

Best food truck on the 395

The best stop on the 395. These fish tacos are amazing!! The couple who own and run this truck are both so kind and really care about the food. 10/10 We stop here anytime we are passing by which is very often. Do yourself a favor and give them a try.

The flavors and individual components of their food just comes together so well, with a balance and synergy that is rare to find. We drive up to Bishop at least a couple times a year from Los Angeles, and in addition to the backcountry, this place is one of the main reasons ther motivates us to return. Food is based on 150 year old family recipes that originated in Guadalajara. On top of that, the people that own and operate this business are so friendly? pleasant and hospitable. Thank you Brenda, Andrew, Ariabella, Abuelo and the others I missed for operating this place! Please come open up a place in Los Angeles if you ever choose to expand!!!

Ordered a bunch of different tacos to go : lengua, pastor, cabeza, chicken. They were all very delicious and authentic. However, I still prefer the taco place Tacos Y tortas La Chiquita in Arlington VA better! Ordering took a while because he prefers cash and I didn't bring any, his credit card machine wasn't working well and it took a long time before the internet got connected to be able to pay. Also... I was a little bit worried about how clean things are, the chef was handling money, his phone, the credit card tablet with his hands, not wearing gloves or sanitizing in between... luckily I didn't get sick afterwards.

Then you give them a chance and end up completely blown away. Glenn's Taqueria is definitely one of those places for me. About 4-5 years ago, I was driving from Reno, Nevada, to Los Angeles via US-395. Since there aren't many places to stop along that route, we pulled over at Glenn's food truck because it had a large shoulder area where we could park safely. We ordered a few tacos, and they were so good that I immediately ordered burritos to take with me. Later that night, after eating those burritos, my only regret was not ordering a few more. Ever since then, I've looked forward to driving this route again just so I could stop here. Today, as I left Reno heading toward Los Angeles, I already knew Glenn's Taqueria would be one of my stops. As soon as I pulled over, five other cars arrived as well, and the place suddenly got very busy. Despite the rush, Glenn handled everything quickly and efficiently. I ordered beef and chicken tacos to eat on the spot, along with beef and chicken burritos for later that night and the next morning. Just like I remembered, everything was delicious. I can't wait to come back again. This place absolutely deserves 5 stars, and I'm not surprised to see that nearly 100 other people felt the same way.

I've driven this road more times than I can count--always in a hurry to reach June Lake, Mammoth, or somewhere that sounds like a destination. And each time, I pass the same towns, the same reservations, the same hand-painted signs, barely noticed as they blur past my window. But today... today was different. Somewhere near Fort Independence, the kind of place most maps barely nod to, a sign caught my eye: "Indian Tacos." Nothing fancy. Just those two words, painted with purpose. As a member of a tribe myself, I pulled over. Not just out of curiosity, but a sense of kinship--and hunger. Mostly hunger. The setup? A weathered travel trailer, charming in its honesty, not trying to be something it's not. I approached with an open heart and a growling stomach. A kind man greeted me with a smile and said the words that every road-weary traveler longs to hear: "I make the fry bread fresh." What followed was nothing short of a spiritual experience. The Indian Taco was a masterpiece: pillowy-soft fry bread that could bring a tear to your eye, topped with perfectly seasoned meat, crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and fresh salsa that tasted like it had been made that very morning--because it probably was. I told my friends. They grimaced. "You ate what from where?" they asked, horrified at the idea of eating from a rundown trailer on the side of a reservation road. But that's the difference between us. Some people need Michelin stars to validate a meal. I just need fresh fry bread and someone who knows what they're doing. Kumazaa Nobi, tucked away on the Fort Independence Indian Reservation, isn't a stop--it's a discovery. A reminder that the most unforgettable meals don't come with white tablecloths or curated playlists. They come with heart, heritage, and a good dose of adventure. Next time you're on 395, don't blink. Don't rush. Stop. Eat. Say thank you. You'll be better for it.
