Best tacos I've had in a while! Got carne asada, chicken, and pork. The pork is absolutely incredible - worth the stop! They also have the glass bottle Colas. Also incredible views of the mountains at sunset, great outdoor seating area for you to enjoy (devour lol) your tacos and admire the view. Quick stop after a long drive with 14 year olds. None of us were super hungry, but we needed a little dinner. We ordered 6 delicious carnitas tacos for $18, enjoyed a nice swing and view of the Sierras and we were back on the road in minutes. Delicious and friendly!!!! Excellent tacos and burritos. Great flavor. Reasonably priced for this area. Very friendly service. The only downside was relatively little shaded sitting. So I'd recommend getting your food and driving up 395 a few blocks to a shaded little park on the west side of the road. I'd gladly eat here again. read more

I decided to give this place a second chance and they definitely redeemed themselves. Order another mulitas and chicken burrito. Mulitas were cheesy as usual but the chicken was definitely a lot better. Maybe I got an old batch the first time but it was all delicious today. Burrito was also really good. The red sauce is super spicy which is what I like. The service was fast and the people are very nice. It's also very clean. I would definitely come back again. read more

We have eaten at several restaurants in the area before, coming through Lone Pine today around lunch time we wanted to try something different. Yelp gave us some options and we chose the taco truck. There is nothing fancy here, just a couple of tables in the shade with pretty good tacos. We were the only ones here at first, but after we put our order in more people came. Hubby played safe and had chicken tacos, the rest of us had fish, shrimp, beef cheek, steak and fried pork. The tacos run about $2.25 each and were given to us with simply tortilla and proteins then you add your own choice of condiments. Tortillas were really hot and crispy around the edges. They must have made it fresh there. The red salsa is pretty spicy so watch out for that. The green thick one is the best. Good assortment of condiments from pico with peppers and sliced radishes. Beef cheek and fish tacos stand out over the rest, but the rest of them were quite yummy as well. Overall we were pleased with the food and glad that we gave this a try. Don't expect free chips, ambiance or anything that sort. Just simple and tasty tacos! read more

It's rarely the case that as I'm traveling through this area that I want to sit down somewhere since I'm normally in a rush to get to the mountains or just passing through. Best food in Lone Pine. The tacos were among the best I've had in a while anywhere - from SF. The portion size was just perfect and they definitely undercharging at $2/taco. The meat was cooked perfectly and they must do something special to the tortillas to crisp them up. I had the carnitas and pollo, I preferred the chicken actually, but enjoyed how the carnitas were not full of fat. Salsa and condiment bar were a nice touch. The red one was quite spicy but I preferred the green, sour one. The owners take pride in their work. We came on the early side (6 PM) and no one else was there but he greeted us, wiped down the tables, and served us, insisting we could pay after eating. It was comforting to see that the place is beloved by truckers, family locals, and tourists passing through alike. After a long and very hot day in Death Valley, we arrived in Lone Pine just in time to grab some tacos here before they closed up for the night. My only regret is not getting an extra taco! We were the last customers of the night still our tacos were prepared to order with super kind service. Highly recommend! Don't forget the salsa! Useful tip: We found them on Willow St. which is the address on Google, right across from the Mobil gas station.
