Love this place, taco truck! in Lone Pine conveniently on the way to and from Mammoth Lakes. have stopped here at least three times now and we (me and two kids) love stopping here for a great taco, burrito or quesadilla. The carnitas are truly delicious, marinated and fried and tasty crunchy. The burritos are huge will fill you up, plenty of meat in the combination with rice bean and all the fixings you want in a burrito which is easily eaten on the road or the road side picnic tables. Kids raved about the adovada burrito and chicken burrito and chicken quesadilla And they have Mexican coke! now only if they had cane sugar Dr. Pepper! hint hint. Ordered 8 asada beef tacos for the road. The beef tasted very fresh and was well-seasoned, and the greens and onions were juicy and fresh as well. We stopped at this food truck to get tacos for dinner when in Lone Pine and we were pleasantly surprised. You can get your food to go or there a couple tables in front of the truck where you can sit and enjoy it. They were out of the shrimp tacos. We got three tacos each couple asada, couple adovada, one carnitas and one chicken and all of them were delicious and filled us up. The red and green salsas were spicy but adding a few drops in each enhanced the flavors. Highly recommend giving them a try when in the vicinity. read more

The food was very good service was fast. The only thing I would say is, I don't have an icemaker so you can't get a cup with ice, which in this valley when it's as hot as it is, should be something that is offered. Otherwise, it was great, the salsas were good. read more

Can confirm a 5-Star experience The carne asada burrito reminded me of a bus. It's heavy and loaded. Very fresh and flavorful meat, beans, rice, onions, and cilantro. I asked for no salsa on the burrito and had a side of hot sauce which was delicious. Very friendly, fast, and delicious. There are plenty of clean tables under the patio cover to dine in. What brought me here were all the excellent reviews. This place did not disappoint! As soon as I got near the food truck, I could smell the goodness in the air. Brought back childhood memories during my family's trip to deep Mexico. The tacos de asada and adobada are super flavorful, but the asada takes the cake. Cash only! The tacos were loaded with tasty meat! I had asada, cabeza, and adovada and they were all fantastic!! Super flavorful with a good spicy kick to them. Wish I had gotten a photo of them but we were so hangry they all disappeared before I could. Unfortunately we got there during dinner rush which took our tacos 40 mins to get after ordering. This was my only issue. I'm definitely coming back and hoping the lines are shorter. If not for the wait, this place is easily a 5 star taco shop. We initially drove right past this place as its a little hard to find, but going North its a left turn just before the Mobile gas station. Came here last night around 6 pm and really enjoyed the food. Quick heads up--they are cash only so come prepared. My fiance and I ordered the shrimp burrito and a shrimp quesadilla. We waited no longer than 5-7 minutes even though there seemed to be a handful of people before us. The shrimp was very tasty and they are very generous with how much shrimp that they give you. My favorite thing about this meal is that their green sauce is a little hotter than your everyday taco truck. This one definitely hit the spot in terms of heat. I came to Alabama Hills for the weekend and of all the food places that we had, I think this one was my personal favorite. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely come back here. read more

Oh... if only They are closer to where I live... Pollo Tacos: one of the best chicken tacos I've had, they put like 1/4 lbs of chicken in your taco, meat is freshly cooked, you can taste their perfect seasoning every bite with their unforgettable hot sauce. I'm very satisfied with this taco. Chicken Mulita: their tortilla was perfectly toasted to crisp filled with cheese and flavorful chicken. The juicy chicken paired with mouthful of cheese is to die for. I could not ask for better food for $4.5!! Shrimp taco: shrimps are fresh and meaty! Compared to chicken, shrimp is not as phenomenal. But you will not be disappointed with their jumbo shrimp and creamy sauce! Lastly the asada taco: although this is not as shiny as the other ones, the asada was cooked to perfection! We ordered the carne asada tacos. There was so much tender, juicy carne asada that I made 2 tacos from one. The tortillas were nicely grilled, with the desirable brown toasty spots. The rice was fluffy, properly made Mexican rice accompanied with frijoles refritos. It was the best Mexican food we have ever had in Lone Pine. I am having a hard time remembering any place where we live that has food as good. We will definitely go back next time we visit Lone Pine. Excelente! read more

Just when I thought we'd lost our minds, I was handed a brown sack with my burrito inside. It must have weighed four pounds. Carnitas, beans, rice, onions, and cilantro harmonize so well. My son ordered his with carne asada, and he attests to its quality. A great value for the price. There is simply no other place to eat in Lone Pine (well, perhaps the Frosty Chalet up the street).
