i ordered from doordash and it took a hour and half to get here AND it wasn't even sealed in the in the bag, it was givin in a small bag opened that you usually get from a regular drive through order AND my smoothie and my small sweat tea, a pie and my hashbrowns were missing. Was in the store at 9:30 am on 3/2. The manager whom another employee identified as April was being just absolutely unprofessional. Screaming through the store how the new employees make more money than her and that's not right. She hates her life. She hates this place. Everything is wrong. Watched her pick up the hash brown off the floor put it back into the container and put it in the DoorDash bag also watched her take the coffee basket, push down the garbage with it and then take it back up to make another pot of coffee. Absolutely awful location. I have NEVER left a negative review for a restaurant/drive-thru location, and I felt compelled to after repeated,constant bad service and the indifference to outright rudeness of the staff. Our last straw wasn't the FOURTH time in a row our order was missing items, but when they wouldn't let me speak to the manager or return my numerous attempts at contact. Our family loves McDonald's, and we used to eat at that location a minimum of 2× a week, but haven't and won't be returning after this last incident. It isn't unusual to wait in the drive-thru for close to 20mins to have the order messed up or missing items altogether. Countless times I've stood at the counter waiting for staff to stop flirting or finish up their important conversation to place an order. The food quality is abysmal: chances are your burger isn't even assembled all the way in the box. I really hope if you're reading this, you'll make the choice to hit the McDonald's 4 miles down the road where the service is much better. My neighbor's family made this choice as well and between the 8 of us, we no longer go to the Johnstown location. read more

Showed up just after 9 AM to collect a mobile order, $26 worth, that had already been paid for. My husband stood inside the establishment, choosing not to go through the drive-through, because the line was incredibly lengthy, and never received our food. While in the restaurant, unfortunately he witnessed DoorDash drivers who were ultimately Being canceled. One in particular had waited over an hour to get their order. My husband and I will not be utilizing this McDonald's anytime soon. read more

I can honestly say I'm McPissed, this place is McTrash!!! Ordered through the app and it usually takes 5 minutes. After 25 minutes of waiting I went in and it looked like no one knew what they were doing (spoiler alert: they didn't) they tried giving me the wrong order first and then they gave me my pathetic attempt for a meal. The Big Mac had sauce on half the burger and the other half of the sauce was on the top of the bun. The McNuggets somehow tasted undercooked and old at the same time. To top it of they forgot the sundae, when I did get the sundae, caramel and hot fudge, it was missing half of the ingredients. I guess they tried making up for it by throwing me an extra sweet and sour sauce, not even close bud. I understand the mascot is a clown but I'm pretty sure you don't have to be one to work there. This place and its customer service my wife sat in line to get a 20 piece Chicken McNugget and it took over 45 minutes to get her order and she still had to pull forward and wait another 10 minutes to get them she had to wait so long that my poor kid fell asleep in the backseat waiting to get her food to eat this is ridiculous I've never seen customer service like this in my life way to go McDonald's that's the way you keep business but I will tell you for sure that you lost this family's business and also the business that I run in this county because I'll make sure that none of my workers go to your store ever again read more

Normally, I only go to McD's at 1am or later - when nothing else is open. Meanwhile, whenever I come to Johnstown my younger cousins (all between nine and 15 want to come here). They eat it religiously. And, to be honest, this is one of the better locations I've been to. It's clean. The service is better than average. The staff is helpful, friendly and not lazy (like we've experienced at most of their stores). And, I'll admit it, the 20 piece chicken tenders aren't terrible! In fact, as we all know, their fries are good and sweet tea is acceptable for being in the north (although the Burger King is Gloversville has better sweet tea). If you're driving through town and are a frequent McDonald's patron you likely will be impressed here. Kudos to management for training their staff well here. It hasn't gone unnoticed. read more

This McDonalds is the worst. I go here often because of the coupons and mobile ordering and every time something is screwed up. They can never figure out what is going on with mobile ordering. The manager always seems frustrated and never smiles. This last visit they didn't have buttermilk tenders even though the app let me order them. The last time we went inside, they forced us to use mobile order kiosks even though we wanted to order with a cashier. It always looks dirty there and the staff changes all the time. McDonalds in Gloversville has had the same staff for years and they are always friendly and happy. Always disappointed in Johnstown. read more

The worst McDonald's I've ever been to by far. Pulled up to the window delayed a little cause I didn't know what I wanted. Finally ordered food and asked to make a separate order. Declined the second order made me turn around and wait in line again. At this point I'm beyond pissed. I've been to that McDonald's many times and never made it difficult to make 2 separate orders. After waiting in line for the second time I waited 5 minutes for any response at all. They wanted to decline the second order due to my frustration of them making it such an issue for 2 separate orders. Fries were ice cold. Chucked sand which was rock hard. All the food went right in the trash. Staff were disrespectful and had mad attitude. Never again will I support this McDonald's. And would love to speak directly to the district manager. Overnight staff very rude. Vicky the manager was rude as well when I questioned what time breakfast starts she said 3 am but I was there last week at 3:45 am and was told I had to wait until 4 to get breakfast. When I went last night at 3:15 am and wanted to order nuggets and fries was told that I could only get breakfast but the menu was on dinner so I had to wait for someone to come out and change it. I live 4 mins from the location and when I got home the food was cold. Also had the coupon codes from the app to use but phone wouldn't scan so I tried to give them the 4 digit code and the girl in the window and the manager said to bad they aren't using the code. The overnight girls are so rude. Idk how they are allowed to work with the public. I kept my composure and said happy holidays as I was leaving and girl laughed at me and slammed the window.
