Order was wrong several ways. Annoyed cashier that was hard to understand and rude. Won't be returning or suggesting it to anyone.

I ended up stopping at the rest area and when it was between this and Starbucks it was a no contest to return to my child hood favourite. I split a 10 piece chicken tender and some fries with my girlfriend and I honestly expected to be super disappointed with my experience, but I was proven wrong here. The chicken tenders were actually pretty darn good for what they were and I was a fan of the breading. The fries were pretty top notch for fast food/rest area fries as well. Although Roy Rogers is not the company it was 25 years ago, they still exist and they still taste pretty darn good.

Unfortunately, this was just an overpriced option which took quite a while to prepare. The fries were a bit salty and tasted like they were cooked with stale oil. The chicken strips had a batter that was hard, not crisp -- with meat that was overcooked. From what I could see, the tomatoes, lettuce, and onions looked a bit dry and old. One of the more disappointing food experiences I've had from a travel plaza. KFC and Popeyes in other plazas I've seen are just as pricey, but at least had better flavors and textures.
