In the past, when there were only 1 or 2 young people back there behind the counter, I had received courteous, friendly and efficient service- on this particular day, however (Wednesday around 7 pm} there appeared to be at least 6 employees back there and they were carrying on more like they were at a Frat party than in a workplace! In my opinion, taking care of customers seemed to be the last thing on their minds- I had been smoking a cigarette, but when I saw the signs, I quickly put it out before I approached the counter- as I turned around after placing my order, I heard a young man yell out "enjoy your cancer!" I thought his comment was grossly inappropriate and unprofessional and I told the girl at the window I had caught that comment and that they shouldn't judge their customers! She immediately went back to the cooking area and told the cook what I had said-then they all had some kind of pow-wow and next thing I know, I'm the focus of attention! I felt awkward and uncomfortable-when all I wanted was to quietly order 2 steak sandwiches and be on my way home-sans all the DRAMA . The topper was when the guy who made the comment and I'm guessing cooked my food came to the counter personally to hand me my sandwiches. He gave me an ear to ear fake smile and told me to "enjoy my food!"-all this while several other staff members gathered to watch me walk to my car - grinning like they were in on a prank or joke that I was the brunt of!- a feeling of dread overcame me as I drove away and when I got home, my husband{ By the way, I'm a woman-using his e-mail account{} and I were afraid to eat the sandwiches and ended up throwing them both in the garbage!..You know- I read the review guidelines and edited out a lot more I wanted to say, but sometimes I wish I still lived in an era when people weren't afraid to just "Tell it like it is!" Anyways, I had to get this off my chest-ruined dinner/ crappy end to my day-thanks.
