This place is not safe for our children. The chemicals and ingredients used in the food and products are harsh and should not be consumed

15 minute wait for 2 sausage biscuits, 1 hash brown and 1 coffee. Don't go if you are in a hurry.

The best jalapeno cheese burger in the Universe…read more They get VERY busy at times, so be patient. The service here I have always felt in a scale of 1-10 is a 9 or 10. Pro tip : Call ahead for the burger, it's ready in 20 to 25 minutes. If there is a line to order / pay, stand to the left of the line for pay/ pickup. I don't believe it is marked as such ? Ambiance is not fancy, but clean.

NEWSFLASH.....THIS JUST IN ..LOCAL COUPLE HAS SUBPAR MEAL AT THE DAIRYBAR…read more Yep, that's right! My wife and I had a surprisingly bad meal at the dairy bar. We thought about using the drive-through but that line was extremely long with oversized trucks and SUVs and such so we decided to park and walk in ; the dining area was surprisingly not busy. Maybe three tables were occupied; we were able to order immediately. I ordered a cheeseburger with onion rings and a Sprite and my wife ordered a cheeseburger french fries and an unsweet tea with extra ice. Although the kitchen was preparing food for all the vehicles outside, we received our food in less than 10 minutes . I noticed my burger tasted a bit odd because the pickles and lettuce were quite chilled, and yet the beef patty seemed lukewarm at best and it did not even attempt to melt the cheese that had been placed upon it; same situation for my wife's hamburger. The cheese just sat there on the hamburger patty, not budging, not melting not getting gooey just sitting there. While her french fry order was hot and fresh, my onion ring order was rather lukewarm and crispy and yet also somewhat rubbery. Kind of weird for a fried product unless it had been fried and then possibly reheated in the microwave and served to me. It became obvious to both of us that the kitchen staff had simply pre-cooked some hamburger patties and set them aside and plopped them on hamburger buns and then they added the chilled mustard, lettuce, onions, and pickles. I hope that someone from the restaurant actually reads this review because across the highway I'd be willing to bet that there are several eating establishments that are about to go in providing us with more dining options.

This is a very local business and I think on the right day we might have had a better experience…read more Today was a bad day. When we arrived the place looked busy. My wife loves that so she was happy. When we sat down it took a while for us to get menus. The server a young girl apologized 3 times before we got to order. When we finally ordered about 10 minutes later I got the CFS and my wife got a burger and fries. We suddenly noticed a large group of 24 people came in together and a few other small groups at the same time. I thought oh no this girl can't handle who's here what is she going to do now. She told us she was the only server tonight. I got worried that we may never get our food. I have a thing about my food being Hot when I get it. I guess they must have called in some help. A new server delivered our food but we had no silverware. I tried my wife's fries while waiting and they were cold. Once I got the fork I tasted my mashed and they were ice cold. I had also asked for white gravy and she got me a new fresh mash that was hot. The CFS was good but not great. The batter was good but would not adhere to the steak. She pics below. My wife liked the burger. I hate to give negative reviews but so many things that should have been better.

I had a great conversation with him. He is a very nice Christian man who gives God the glory for his business. (liked that). The food was pretty good. It was hot and fresh. During our conversation, I did share a couple suggestions and he welcomed hearing them. This place has a lot more potential to grow and by adding some social media exposure and maybe a couple other things. Let more people know what you're about. One thing I will tell you, the menu online does not match the current menu. So, please go with an open mind as to what might be offered. I hope that if you are in the Waller area you will go by and give it a try. They close up at 8 so don't wait too late. I can tell you, I just might pop back in and see them again and what changes might happen. Good Luck y'all.

A must stop if you are traveling between Houston and Austin on Hwy 71. I'm usually a Bucees guy,…read morebut this place specializes in something that the beaver doesn't. Kolaches! Arguably one of the greatest foods ever invented. Atleast in my world. How can you go wrong with bread filled with sweet or savory fillings? Hruska's is about halfway between Houston and Austin and a perfect rest stop to fill up on gas, use the clean facilities, grab a snack or indulge in their amazing baked goods. They are steeped in history and have been around for decades passing along the family recipes. It's obviously improved structurally over the years from a country store and looks like a modern gas station now. It's always pretty busy every time I have stopped in, but they are a well oiled machine and keep the masses moving with excellent customer service. They have all your gas station essentials like snacks and beverages. What sets them apart is their bakery. Here, they label their kolaches as the traditional fruit filled variety. I like them, but they are never my first choice. I love the ones with meat inside. Here, they label these as pigs in a blanket. They have a large variety of both. I usually go for a regular sausage and cheese, but over here, they sell a delicious pan sausage kind. On top of all their sweet and savory baked goods, they also sell burgers on the grill. Their burgers have made it to the Texas Monthly Top 50 burger spots. I have yet to try it. Overall, this is an always stop place for me. I highly recommend stopping here to stretch your legs and enjoy a delicious pastry while you're at it. I will definitely be back.

The food was hot and everything was cooked perfectly, from the burgers to the garlic fries. I had…read morethe chili relleno burger and my boyfriend had the brisket burger. Both were cooked and no pink was found. After trying my burger he said he wished he had purchased the same thing. I ate half of mine and took the other half home, but he ate all of his. One of the co-owners, Robert, took our order. He was super friendly. While eating we heard him talking to the staff in the back, and you can tell they all liked each other. The restaurant was spotless. I didn't go to the bathroom, but judging by the restaurant and what you can see of the kitchen, I'm going to assume it was also clean. I like knowing he used certified angus for the burgers. You can taste a difference. He also uses a local baker for the buns, and sources other things locally as well. I would definitely eat here again any day.

A couple friends and I stopped in a couple of nights ago to try this place for the first time…read more Let's start with the owner: as soon as we walked in, we were acknowledged (as was every other person). He made sure everyone was welcomed and I really loved that. You could tell he was passionate about his business and happily told us about different choices, helping us narrow it down to 3 different burgers, 3 different fries and milkshakes. We were getting our order to go so we took a seat while we waited and the owner came over to chat with us a bit as he cleaned tables and swept. The place was so clean and that was also a highlight for me. Once we opened up all the food we were so shocked at the size of the burgers. They are very hefty. You get a lot for your money. We ended up trying the fried egg burger, Mac n cheese burger and bbq burger. All 3 were a hit for us. For fries we did chili cheese, garlic Cajun, and sweet potato. Again, absolutely delicious. For the milkshakes we chose a classic vanilla and a cookies and cream and they were both so rich and yummy. We will definitely be back. It was a 11/10 for us in all areas-- clean, hospitable, delicious, and wait time for food. The man that runs this place is so kind and it is awesome to support local business when possible. Try it out!

First, they have made the parking lot a little better and it looks like they are building a patio upstairs. Very cool. The inside had more decor and is even cuter than before. Now let's talk food. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and mac & cheese as my side. I never order Mac & cheese but decided to change it up today. The burger was great, and the m&c was good. I was thinking about ordering the mac and cheese with brisket but was not sure if I liked their m&c and I do; so maybe next time I will order it. My hubby ordered a Texas cheesesteak with charro beans. Of course he loved it. It had tons of jalapeños on it. He put a few of them in his charro beans to spicy them up some. Overall all our lunch was great! Now we need to talk about desserts. We ALWAYS order snickerdoodle cookies from here. (These were to go) The cookies are big and fantastic!! They have other flavors but we just love the snickerdoodles. We were going to eat a piece of pie there. I had a hard time deciding on a buttermilk pie, chocolate buttermilk, Oreo pie or key lime. (The other flavors had nuts) I chose the Oreo pie and my hubby ordered a piece of peanut butter pie. Homemade pies are the best! We liked both pies and would definitely order them again. I would also like to say Lauren was the person who rang up our orders and she is just so sweet and polite. She remembered I cannot have tomatoes! I was impressed. (We have not seen her for a while) Our experience today was fantastic. We will definitely drop here again soon.
