This was my first time EVER going to a McDonald's. Okay, that's not entirely true but maybe I had you there. I pulled over for a gas stop at 7 a.m on a Tuesday while on a road trip to Colorado and there was this McDonald's conveniently located near the I-80. We decided to go inside in order to tinkle and then enjoy a hearty breakfast comprising of the classic Egg McMuffin, hashbrown, 2 apple pies and a medium orange juice, (following five words spoken smugly) because I don't do coffee. This place had a nice laid-back country folk vibe and smelled like styrofoam, sugar packets and a slight hint of urinal cake (I think it's the cleaning solution they used). Service was quick, accurate and hassle-free. I was quite happy to have their apple pies for breakfast, as well as anytime. Helpful tip: Have YOU ever had a McDonald's apple pie when it's served at that perfect temperature that's slightly cooler than piping hot? It makes it better. Trust me. Otherwise you're attempting to shout expletives because of your decision to stuff the equivalent of boiling oil into your mouth and you can't form a "k" sound so then all that comes out is, "Fuh, Fuh, Fuh, Fuh!!!!!!!" read more

Horrible service. It took the longest time to get our food that I have ever experienced at a McDonald's

Brie provided amazing service and truly went above and beyond--she deserves at least a $2 raise!

This place is the best it's really close to my house and I love the chicken nuggets the only thing I ask add more ranch to the bag

I go to the McDonald's in gretna atleast 3 times a week and last night the manager was very rude. Not a smile and messed up my order no apology. I love the night crew there but I won't be back. Also when my order was fixed the cheese was ice cold on it. read more

I love McDonald's so much I might get married here.My go to meal is a McChicken 10 piece chicken nugget, a large fry and a lemonade. Every once in a while, I mean every day I usually include a few cookies too. Not once have they upset me I will always love McDonald's. read more

Uhm seriously???? Mcchickens should not have sesame seed buns. Nor did I ask for it too. This is gross. If you're going to change something for some reason you're mobile delivery associate should be informative on that. read more

McDonald's - McChicken - Burgers Near Me - Gretna, Nebraska

I have never been to this McDonald's before. This occurred on June 15, 2023 at approximately 7:00-7:30 PM. I ordered a 4 piece McNugget Happy Meal, which came with the nuggets, fries, apple slices and a small coke with no ice. I also ordered a plain hamburger on the side. Everything tasted fine until I got to the nuggets. They tasted a little off, but not horrible. I know depending on the McDonald's or the oil they use it can alter the taste. So I ate them. I know I shouldn't have. I was with my family. My husband and daughter's boyfriend went to the nearby Pepperjax Grill. My daughter ate McDonald's with me, but did not have any nuggets. We next stopped at the Hy-Vee. I was starting to feel a bit queasy there. Then we went to Target and by then I was pretty miserable. We went straight home from there. Within moments of getting home I was in the bathroom. I was vomiting to the point of it was just stomach acid coming up. Next came the diarrhea. Then the horrible chills that no matter what I did I couldn't seem to warm up. I was so miserable that I ended up just going to bed. I ended up sleeping just over 12 hours. When I woke up, I called the McDonald's to let them know what happened. The manager I spoke with seemed indifferent to what I was saying. She did not ask for any details. She really just seemed to want to get off the phone. I have felt clammy, weak and tired all day. Some nausea off and on. All I can hope is nobody else gets sick from it. read more

Used the drive-thru very fast. No concerns. Chicken nuggets perfect. . My heart partner had a Oreo Mc Flurry.

Normal McDonalds food. Service has improved at this location. The new $5 meal is a good deal.

horrible service and messed up every order. Don't ever go here unless desperate. Food is mid.

Service here is a completely foreign concept. Managers take legit complaints as personal attacks and escalate them rather than diffusing them and addressing them and fixing the problem. If I could remove stars, or rate at zero stars, I would! read more

Service is poor here. Staff lack manners or basic communication skills to say basic pleases and thank you's. The food is hit or miss - sometimes good sometimes bad. read more

This morning clinched my last order from McDonalds anywhere ever thanks to the team effort by the Gretna NE staff. It wasn't just one person...3 were involved this morning but it truly goes back to poor management. I'm done paying inflated prices for subpar food and service. Also just dumped my stock in the company. Good choice on my part all the way around. read more

do not come to this location staff is so rude. i was standing near the pickup area inside to ask for sauce multiple workers walked right past me and ignored me they looked at me and still ignored me. then a teen worker asked me a personal question and still denied me service. read more

I don't usually stop here, but have enough times to know that there are other McDonald's that run more efficiently and tastes way better! On my last visit, I ordered 3 meals, one of which was breakfast. The bread portion tasted a little stale, and the french fries were cold. Disappointing when you're in a hurry and don't have time to turn back and tell them the food wasn't good. This is not the first time this has happened to me at this location. Is it edible? Yes. It's McDonald's... Better dining options elsewhere! read more

Food is just fine. The online ordering is really bad. You wait longer than drive thru, so there's no point. And make sure to check the fries, they get pretty stingy. read more

Average McDonald's with good service, decent food, we stop her most every trip on our way through Omaha to Lincoln to get a quick bite to eat. Staff is friendly. Food is hot and fries actually come out fresh! Burgers too, not dried out. So it has become a normal break from the drive to grab lunch here. Other than that it is a McDonalds there is not much more to say. It's clean, and there is food to keep us going the last stretch of road. read more

Unsatisfied to the extreme got my order wrong and on top of everything had to return to get the correct sandwhich not coming back!!

Closed at 9pm on a Friday night. When we called, they said they were having technical difficulties...

It's a McDonald's, so the food is what you would expect. I've gone here many times and never had a problem with the service or the food. If you're looking for a relaxed bistro atmosphere with exceptional waitstaff, this may not be the place for you. But if you just need a fast burger and some mcnuggets, you can't go wrong here. read more

I come here fairly regularly, since I work nearby, and while there are some great employees, there are also a lot of people who are rude, many who can't even answer politely to "Hi, how are you?" I'm trying to treat you with respect and courtesy, the least I could ask for is some back. read more

When me and my husband got here, it was packed. And there was a long like as well. But compared to the other McDonalds I have been at, they were fast and friendly! I loved it here. The food was fresh and no mistakes. read more

Ordered a vanilla iced coffee and it was the WORST iced coffee I have ever received. There was no coffee- just sugar, cream and vanilla flavoring... Disgusting! I have ordered this from McDonald's before but this particular establishment really butchered it. I will not ever be ordering coffee from McDonald's again- gross! Such a waste of my money. read more

Decided to come here on my way to Omaha one night, where I was hungry and thought I'd give McDonalds a chance. Wow, what a mistake. It is incredible just how unpleasant, tasteless, and surprisingly not cheap it is. First of all, the environment - which is a florescent nightmare, filled with the open kitchen's relentless din of beeping, drive through static, barked orders from the frantic manager, alarms going off... whoa! -- super stressful to work here : slightly less stressful to eat here... Ok, so the place was extremely un-relaxing, and ultimately annoying - but what about the food? I ordered a favorite of mine from when i was a teenager, the quarter-pounder with cheese, with fries and a drink. Not exactly cheap I would say - for what you get, which is practically nothing worth mentioning. The fries weren't super tasty like I remembered them. They weren't greasy at all, tasted like most of the potato was gone, leaving this strange crunchy salty shell, which wasn't so bad... but definitely not good. I wanted junk food, which is why i came to McDonalds... not some pseudo potato snack, that was unsatisfying and not filling in the least. The burger --- GIVE ME A BREAK.. .this shouldn't even be called a hamburger. It tasted like i was eating a bun with some tasteless fodder inside. I could barely even taste the cheese. The meat was almost gray, and completely devoid of any flavor. To test this, i ripped out a chunk of the meat and tasted it by itself, so that I could better assess its characteristics. It had a spongy consistency with little or no fat content... I'm not sure what was binding the meat together - because it was so unnatural. The flavor could be described as 'nothing flavored, with hints of cardboard' Then, as I was eating my meal I noticed on the paper tray liner -a blurb which exclaimed : "what makes McDonald's Fries taste so good!? McDonald's only uses the only finest varieties of potatoes to make their fries." What? I mean, they probably use russet potatoes the same as nearly everyone else... It just seemed like a stupid blurb to have. that is DEFINITELY not the reason their fries 'taste so good'. I was mostly just confused at how busy the place was. Line to the door, a dozen or so families already seated, a packed drive through lane.... C'mon people!!! what a waste of money! I just don't get it. I won't ever go back, unless I am on a road trip with family and my vote gets buried. read more

My family went to eat at this location, since we were pretty tired from shopping and wanted something quick nearby. We were shock by the customer service we received. We ordered our food and had to wait for 50! Not only did we wait for almost an hour, but they gave our order to someone else and had us wait for another 30 minutes... in the end we didn't get our food and decided to get a refund. The manager had no respect and was very negative towards us. I'm usually nice, but if you're going to treat me like crap I'll happily do the same. NEVER EAT HERE. You won't get your food on time, they'll probably mess up your order, and their customer service is HORRRIBLE!!!! read more

This location sucks. Slow service, frozen parfait, weak tasting breakfast sandwiches and average coffee.

7/29/15 My review has mainly to do with the counter girl here in Gretna. We were just driving through but got stuck here overnight with a flat tire. McDonalds was right across from our hotel so I ran over to grab a togo order. I noticed her right away because she was so charming with her friendly manner. Acknowledged customers as they arrived and as they left. Efficient in her service and appearance. Just a nice way to start the day. Thanks so much "young lady"! read more

Replace the soda machines for goodness sake. For years, one (usually on the right) gives warm, flat soda. The other, cool, kinda fizzy soda. Also, not giving you, your drink cup so you can fill it while you wait is rude and irritating. read more
