This was my first time EVER going to a McDonald's. Okay, that's not entirely true but maybe I had you there. I pulled over for a gas stop at 7 a.m on a Tuesday while on a road trip to Colorado and there was this McDonald's conveniently located near the I-80. We decided to go inside in order to tinkle and then enjoy a hearty breakfast comprising of the classic Egg McMuffin, hashbrown, 2 apple pies and a medium orange juice, (following five words spoken smugly) because I don't do coffee. This place had a nice laid-back country folk vibe and smelled like styrofoam, sugar packets and a slight hint of urinal cake (I think it's the cleaning solution they used). Service was quick, accurate and hassle-free. I was quite happy to have their apple pies for breakfast, as well as anytime. Helpful tip: Have YOU ever had a McDonald's apple pie when it's served at that perfect temperature that's slightly cooler than piping hot? It makes it better. Trust me. Otherwise you're attempting to shout expletives because of your decision to stuff the equivalent of boiling oil into your mouth and you can't form a "k" sound so then all that comes out is, "Fuh, Fuh, Fuh, Fuh!!!!!!!" read more

McDonald's - McChicken - Burgers Near Me - Gretna, Nebraska

I have never been to this McDonald's before. This occurred on June 15, 2023 at approximately 7:00-7:30 PM. I ordered a 4 piece McNugget Happy Meal, which came with the nuggets, fries, apple slices and a small coke with no ice. I also ordered a plain hamburger on the side. Everything tasted fine until I got to the nuggets. They tasted a little off, but not horrible. I know depending on the McDonald's or the oil they use it can alter the taste. So I ate them. I know I shouldn't have. I was with my family. My husband and daughter's boyfriend went to the nearby Pepperjax Grill. My daughter ate McDonald's with me, but did not have any nuggets. We next stopped at the Hy-Vee. I was starting to feel a bit queasy there. Then we went to Target and by then I was pretty miserable. We went straight home from there. Within moments of getting home I was in the bathroom. I was vomiting to the point of it was just stomach acid coming up. Next came the diarrhea. Then the horrible chills that no matter what I did I couldn't seem to warm up. I was so miserable that I ended up just going to bed. I ended up sleeping just over 12 hours. When I woke up, I called the McDonald's to let them know what happened. The manager I spoke with seemed indifferent to what I was saying. She did not ask for any details. She really just seemed to want to get off the phone. I have felt clammy, weak and tired all day. Some nausea off and on. All I can hope is nobody else gets sick from it. read more

I don't usually stop here, but have enough times to know that there are other McDonald's that run more efficiently and tastes way better! On my last visit, I ordered 3 meals, one of which was breakfast. The bread portion tasted a little stale, and the french fries were cold. Disappointing when you're in a hurry and don't have time to turn back and tell them the food wasn't good. This is not the first time this has happened to me at this location. Is it edible? Yes. Average McDonald's with good service, decent food, we stop her most every trip on our way through Omaha to Lincoln to get a quick bite to eat. Staff is friendly. Food is hot and fries actually come out fresh! Burgers too, not dried out. So it has become a normal break from the drive to grab lunch here. Other than that it is a McDonalds there is not much more to say. It's clean, and there is food to keep us going the last stretch of road. read more

It's a McDonald's, so the food is what you would expect. I've gone here many times and never had a problem with the service or the food. If you're looking for a relaxed bistro atmosphere with exceptional waitstaff, this may not be the place for you. Decided to come here on my way to Omaha one night, where I was hungry and thought I'd give McDonalds a chance. Wow, what a mistake. It is incredible just how unpleasant, tasteless, and surprisingly not cheap it is. First of all, the environment - which is a florescent nightmare, filled with the open kitchen's relentless din of beeping, drive through static, barked orders from the frantic manager, alarms going off... whoa! -- super stressful to work here : slightly less stressful to eat here... Ok, so the place was extremely un-relaxing, and ultimately annoying - but what about the food? I ordered a favorite of mine from when i was a teenager, the quarter-pounder with cheese, with fries and a drink. Not exactly cheap I would say - for what you get, which is practically nothing worth mentioning. The fries weren't super tasty like I remembered them. They weren't greasy at all, tasted like most of the potato was gone, leaving this strange crunchy salty shell, which wasn't so bad... but definitely not good. I wanted junk food, which is why i came to McDonalds... not some pseudo potato snack, that was unsatisfying and not filling in the least. The burger --- GIVE ME A BREAK.. .this shouldn't even be called a hamburger. It tasted like i was eating a bun with some tasteless fodder inside. I could barely even taste the cheese. The meat was almost gray, and completely devoid of any flavor. To test this, i ripped out a chunk of the meat and tasted it by itself, so that I could better assess its characteristics. It had a spongy consistency with little or no fat content... I'm not sure what was binding the meat together - because it was so unnatural. The flavor could be described as 'nothing flavored, with hints of cardboard' Then, as I was eating my meal I noticed on the paper tray liner -a blurb which exclaimed : "what makes McDonald's Fries taste so good!? McDonald's only uses the only finest varieties of potatoes to make their fries." What? I mean, they probably use russet potatoes the same as nearly everyone else... It just seemed like a stupid blurb to have. that is DEFINITELY not the reason their fries 'taste so good'. I was mostly just confused at how busy the place was. Line to the door, a dozen or so families already seated, a packed drive through lane.... C'mon people!!! what a waste of money! I just don't get it. My family went to eat at this location, since we were pretty tired from shopping and wanted something quick nearby. We were shock by the customer service we received. We ordered our food and had to wait for 50! Not only did we wait for almost an hour, but they gave our order to someone else and had us wait for another 30 minutes... in the end we didn't get our food and decided to get a refund. The manager had no respect and was very negative towards us. I'm usually nice, but if you're going to treat me like crap I'll happily do the same. NEVER EAT HERE. You won't get your food on time, they'll probably mess up your order, and their customer service is HORRRIBLE!!!! read more

7/29/15 My review has mainly to do with the counter girl here in Gretna. We were just driving through but got stuck here overnight with a flat tire. McDonalds was right across from our hotel so I ran over to grab a togo order. I noticed her right away because she was so charming with her friendly manner. He's very slow when People Order and He knows how to take Orders the right way. And He's fast at Orders. He was the Only Person on Front Counter during Lunch One Day in December around Christmas Time or After and He was all over. Takin Orders, Running and doin everything Right even when His Boss Yelled at Him when Lobby was Full of Payin Customers. The Boss needs to take an Time Out in the Corner for an Very Long while. And maybe that Boss needs to Learn how to Ethnically treat Employee's as an Respectful Employee the Right Way and I know that Peter make some Mistake's but He Fixes them and He's Awsome for An 16 Year Employee.
