The burger was cooked perfectly , and tasted pretty good. However, when you add a $10.00 IPA to the equation and throw in a tip- I was out $41.00. I didn't like my meal enough to spend that kind of money. For a burger to be this pricey, I needed more. This place seems like a cool place to chill ,watch a game, and enjoy a cold beer. I may just do that next time and skip the meal. The service was poor. Once my food was dropped off , I never heard from the lady again to check on me until she dropped off the check.

The food took a while to come out, but given how busy the restaurant was, that was understandable. Up until we received the bill, the evening was nearly perfect. Unfortunately, that's when things took a disappointing turn. The $19 lettuce wraps ended up costing us $31. During the ordering process, my wife asked our server, Jesus C., how the lettuce wraps came. He explained that she could choose chicken, salmon, or both, with 6 ounces of each. She chose both, not realizing that selecting those options would result in an additional charge. I take responsibility for not specifically asking whether there would be an extra charge. However, I also believe that when a menu item has a listed price and a customer is given additional protein options, the server should clearly explain that choosing those options will increase the price. Simply presenting them as available choices without mentioning an additional charge is misleading and creates an unpleasant surprise when the bill arrives. Unfortunately, a similar situation happened later in the meal. My 4-year-old son ate his mac and cheese very quickly. Jesus noticed and asked if he would like more. I agreed, again because no additional charge was mentioned. We expected to pay the $9 listed price for the kids' meal, only to find that we had been charged $18. I understand that restaurants charge for additional portions and upgrades, and I have no issue paying for something when the cost is clearly communicated beforehand. My concern is that, in both situations, we were not informed that additional charges would apply. Overall, this experience was disappointing. I left feeling like the pricing had not been communicated transparently, which unfortunately overshadowed what otherwise would have been an excellent meal. All that was needed was a simple statement such as, "There will be an additional charge for that." Moving forward, I will certainly make sure to ask about additional charges before agreeing to anything. However, I also believe the responsibility should be on the restaurant to clearly communicate pricing when customers are offered upgrades or additional portions. I will also be contacting Santa Clara County Weights and Measures to ask whether these pricing practices comply with applicable requirements. Update: After posting my review, the manager followed through and promptly contacted me regarding my concerns. We had a productive conversation, and the issue was resolved to our satisfaction. I appreciate the manager taking the time to personally reach out, listen to our concerns, and make things right. While our original experience was disappointing, I'm pleased with how the restaurant handled the situation afterward. That level of follow-through is appreciated and speaks positively to their commitment to their customers.

I called and spoke with the manager, Saulo, who was incredibly understanding and worked with us to move our reservation to the following day. When we came back, Saulo and the entire staff were welcoming, hospitable, and accommodating. Our boys have special needs, and since this was their first time bowling, it was definitely a new experience for them. The staff was patient, kind, and made us feel completely comfortable. That meant a lot to us as parents and made what could have been a stressful outing into a really enjoyable family experience. Huge thank you to Saulo and the entire Gilroy Bowl staff for taking such great care of our family. We'll definitely be back. Another reviewer issues with getting FALSE CHARGES: Jacob M. I am not a Yelp reviewer at all, I use Yelp more as a viewer, but I will leave a review if my experience is either really great or horrifically awful and with this place it is the latter of the two and I felt compelled to leave this more as a damn community notice. My experiences here have been so awful since day one. Born and raised in San Jose my whole life and we recently moved to Gilroy a year ago. This McDonald's is literally down the street from us so naturally it became our go-to. I am not lying when I say that 9/10 times, on average, they get our order wrong. To the point where when we order drive-thru we make sure to sift through the bag and inspect each item to make sure they got it right before leaving the window. Countless items we order items and get charged on the receipt for them yet left out of the bag and not noticed until we got home and I'm sure you can imagine that frustration. Every g** damn time. Once in a while, sure I understand, but 50/50 chance each time you go? That's just terrible franchise management. Read the reviews here by listing the reviews by date. There are pages and pages of consistent 1 Star reviews and horror stories. I didn't get what I ordered and my order was missing items and food. It took 10 minutes of arguing to get them to agree to give me the food I ordered, and even then the food was wrong. At that point I just ate what they gave me - not worth another argument and I found severe communication issues that the employees and manager -- I really tried, I just can't understand their English. The nightmare wasn't over. I found my credit card was CHARGED THREE TIMES. I had brought this up to my friend at Starbucks also in Gilroy and the barista actually said she had the exact same issue at the same McDonalds. Is something intentional occurring there? A guy was also complaining to the manager that just by going into their ordering system, he lost all his points. read more

I used to work here, and was stationed in window. Employees generally suck checking for the correct food in the bag, and don't communicate. They'll push orders out because the management wants cars gone in under 1:10, which is almost impossible. They don't care about quality, when I worked there HALF of the machines didn't work, also they dont care if you're not trained either they'll just threaten to send you home. FUCK YOU NORMA. CHUPA MI VERGA. There are good hard-working people, but not everyone is compatible to work with. Especially you Norma you're supposed to be a Manager, act like it instead of doing nothing. I recommend the Outlets McDoanlds they are more consistent, and are less busy year round than other locations. read more

This is literally the worst mcdonald's I've ever visited. The staff is blatantly rude. I've seen the manager actually stand around the front area behind the counter refusing to assist a customer who was standing DIRECTLY in front of her while she ignored him sipping her drink. This is while there aren't any other staff at the registers to help the poor customer. He patiently waited while the manager ignored him sipping her drink and when she was finally done. She acknowledged him and rudely said "what do you want to order". If this is what this mcdonald's consideres manager material. Imagine the rest of the staff here. Don't come! read more

If I could give ZERO stars, I would!! This place is mandating masks while there isn't a county wide mandate, yet when I was in there, their own employees had their masks down around their chin?? WTH?! She quickly turned around when I said something and took out my phone to take a picture, but you can see it down low on her face. How dare they try to enforce these overreaching rules on us and then don't follow them!! This McDonald's was horrible before, but now.....I just can't! read more

I go to the drivethru every morning. The same woman works there every week day. She is so rude. Usually the only thing she says to me from the minute I pull up to the window is MAYBE muttering thank you when she gives me the card back after I pay. She says not one single word to me the rest of the time and just scowels. It seems like she hates her job. At the least, she should not be working customer service whatsoever. read more
