Thanks Lily for great customer service and helping us. We had a bad experience previously with a manager that ordered food from my account and my device without my permission and without me knowing. We did complain, but what the previous manager did was not resolved. Furthermore, we found out soon after he did that to the phone, he was let go. Finally got to try their new Big Arch, was excited to try it. But I was so disappointed when I got my Big Arch. The one ingredient that make it tastes different from other burgers is the sauce! It barely has the sauce on my burger! Missing crispy onions and pickles! Only take a couple seconds to spread the goddamn sauce on the burger! But they can't even do that, and I paid full price for that burger but it seems like not enough to have more than two drops of the sauce on my burger. I placed an order for delivery. 20 piece nuggets, a 6pc nuggets and 2 medium fry's. It's not a difficult order. There was a $2.99 fee, a $3.00 service charge & a $3.00 tip. It was delivered promptly by Ubereats. My issue is they couldn't get the damn order correct They gave me my fry's, my 20pc Ana the sauces, BUT DID NOT INCLUDE THE 6Pc. When I called the store they said they were sorry, to come pick up my 6pc nuggets. If I wanted to go pick up my order, I wouldn't have used the stupid app! When I questioned about being reimbursed for the delivery fee, since THEY dropped the ball, they said to contact Uber eats for a refund. WTF??!!! I will never order delivery again from th. I couldn't even get to order my food. The drive thru line was backed out onto Wren Ave. I decided to go inside and after waiting nearly 20 mins I still couldn't order at the front counter. Someone said they wouldn't help but after they prepped a mobile order and took it out, they went back into the kitchen and never came to take my order. I was running late for work so I couldn't even get an order in. Worst ever McDonald's experience and that's saying a lot. I won't go back to this one. Food is always good. I went and had lunch with my two kids - my son loves their chicken nuggets. I picked the toddler toy and he got a book! I had no idea that was an option and he loves books. Just went through the drive through and only ordered 2 diet cokes with light ice. When we got our drinks they were not filled to the top and missing a lot of soda (see photo) when we asked for more soda, the person at the window only spoke Spanish and kept saying "más hielo?" (More ice?) and refused to fill it up even after figuring out what we were asking for she kept rolling her eyes at us and we just decided to leave and take the L. When we tried the soda it wasn't even what we asked for it was regular Dr. Pepper or something. I then went inside to get the right drink and to ask someone else if they could fill it up (they don't have sell serve fountains) and he was refusing to change our drinks unless I showed him our receipt lmao! Stopping in for a quick bite after shopping. Drive through was moving at a good pace and got my order quickly. Ordered off of the dollar menu for a better value. McChicken sandwich was good and the lettuce was fresh and crunchy. Added barbecue sauce for a twist on flavor and it was actually pretty good. Fries were hot and right out of the fryer. I am not a Yelp reviewer at all, I use Yelp more as a viewer, but I will leave a review if my experience is either really great or horrifically awful and with this place it is the latter of the two and I felt compelled to leave this more as a damn community notice. My experiences here have been so awful since day one. Born and raised in San Jose my whole life and we recently moved to Gilroy a year ago. This McDonald's is literally down the street from us so naturally it became our go-to. I am not lying when I say that 9/10 times, on average, they get our order wrong. To the point where when we order drive-thru we make sure to sift through the bag and inspect each item to make sure they got it right before leaving the window. Countless items we order items and get charged on the receipt for them yet left out of the bag and not noticed until we got home and I'm sure you can imagine that frustration. Every g** damn time. Once in a while, sure I understand, but 50/50 chance each time you go? That's just terrible franchise management. Read the reviews here by listing the reviews by date. There are pages and pages of consistent 1 Star reviews and horror stories. I didn't get what I ordered and my order was missing items and food. It took 10 minutes of arguing to get them to agree to give me the food I ordered, and even then the food was wrong. At that point I just ate what they gave me - not worth another argument and I found severe communication issues that the employees and manager -- I really tried, I just can't understand their English. The nightmare wasn't over. I found my credit card was CHARGED THREE TIMES. I had brought this up to my friend at Starbucks also in Gilroy and the barista actually said she had the exact same issue at the same McDonalds. Is something intentional occurring there? Ordered cookie tote, chicken nuggets, fries no salt, from uber eats, The fries had salt on them and were cold and stale. The cookie tote wasn't a tote at all. They gave me the cookies in separate packages, and they were hard these most have been the cookies sitting on the counter all day. The chicken nuggets, oh my god!! Almost as if I'm a glutton for punishment, I got breakfast here for the fam on the way home from a trip for the latest episode of "What Will They Leave Out of My Order." So I ordered an the app and pulled in to a stall to wait for my order. It came out in a timely manner. After taking inventory, a breakfast sandwich was missing. And with a feeling of, "why do I bother with the app if I just have to go inside anyway," I went inside. The lady looked at the receipt and new which sandwich was missing without looking in the bag. I got what I needed and left. Other than that, the breakfast sandwiches I tried were beyond dry and the hash browns were overcooked and had a burnt taste. Coffee was good. read more

This fast food franchise location is a last resort when it comes to food for anyone I know. This location lacks in a number of critical areas. The top of those areas being customer service. The franchise owner must be horrible at training and retaining employees because the customer service here alternates between incompetence, rudeness, and hostility. The work environment must be miserable because the employees here project their endless misery onto their customers and nobody I've seen working here lasts long at all. Regarding the food, I've experienced cold food, missing items, overly salty fries, overly greasy food, burnt food, watered down drinks and the list goes on. Last but not least, if dealing with their disgraceful customer service and disgusting food isn't enough, wait times here are among the worst I've experienced at any fast food location. Ever. Usually this location is pretty on point with fresh hot food..and customer service.. but today we felt pretty bad for the drive thru cashier. We asked for vanilla cones with a little hot fudge,(didnt mind paying extra) we payed, went to pick up in drive thru window and a mecican lady with blonde hair couldnt catch her name was straight up yelling at the drive thru cashier. He was such a nice guy and very polite..he should have not been treated that way! I understood everything she said,if they couldnt make the cone then just say so! Dont be yelling at the employee! I am not one to get influenced by the majority of anything but in this case, this place is truly broken, AND NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE!!!!! Despite the awful Yelp reviews, I decided to visit this newly renovated restaurant. The one slow moving man for the amount of walk in customers at 11:30AM was a huge imbalance. Then there's 3 self order/self pay kiosks. I wasted my time at one of them once the unenthused one person working the counter said (once I approached him) that I could either use the electronic panel or order with him. The frigging panel did not even have a french fry section so I had to wait and/or leave the line to form a new line??? Once I ordered the 3 simple items, 1 Bacon Egg Biscuit, 1 Large Fries, and 1 Small Coffee, the wait was a bit longer than expected but we all know that the drive up line takes full number one priority at most fast food establishments for years so no surprise nor critique here. Mean while there appears to be tons of employees coming and going behind the counter and chatting with each other, also many cooking (at least for the drive through priorities. Then before the order arrives I ask for a cup for water and the worker bee who was focused on the monitor to get all those orders ready and correct was taken back by my "excuse me. can I bother you for a cup for water". She then proceeded to get me a clear flimsy plastic cup from the side of the ice cream machine!!!!! The thing is I was holding a hot cup of coffee with one hand and when I placed the ice cream light flimsy cup under the machine with one hand, it blew around from the fan of the machine and wouldn't stand still on it's own so I had to walk over to the table where we were sitting to put my coffee down in order t get a cup of water. Of course I wouldn't think of putting my coffee on the disgusting counter top by the drinks (remember we are in the middle of breakfast and lunch). Why cant one of the many many employees clean something? So the order finally gets called and on the tray is 1 Bacon Egg Biscuit & 1 Hash Browns, REALLY??? Something that simple done wrong? Mr unenthused didn't simply read my receipt that stated 1 Large Fries, but spent time backing up the monitor to probably show the woman with her eyes glued to the monitor that it was her responsibility??? I have no idea - just get me the large fries!!!!! She turns around finally and says to me "oh you want a large fries instead of hash browns?" REALLY????? I hope the owner/operator sees this review but I highly doubt that he will. I've been to many Mc-E-D's up and down California, but I have to say this particular location has to be the worst. It's so bad that I'm taking the time to write a review on a fast food joint when I would normally just chalk it up and move on. I have one question? How do your fries consistently come out luke warm/cold? I mean McDonald's fries are the bread and butter to a successful location. If you don't have that your store pretty much sucks! Nobody wants to chuck them in the microwave when they get home and guess how long to heat them up as you don't want to completely alter the taste. I've tried giving them the benefit of the doubt and say to myself they'll get it right next time. Shame on me for thinking that. They won't and they never will, they just don't get it. Take the frozen fries out the bag, dump them in the fryer, and serve hot. SERVE HOT!! How hard is it to execute that one simple task. Nevertheless, I will not be coming back here again, I'll just start hitting up Jack-In-The-Crack when I need a quick fast food fix. This McDonald's recent got a big upgrade! The interior has been refreshed with a new look and design that's modern and clean. They also added the handy self-serve kiosks and were very efficient about getting us our food, which was warm and tasty. They put in fancy freestyle Coca-Cola machines so you can have all the drink options-- I got a Vanilla Dr. Pepper. The outside is also nicer, as they removed the old play structure and added lots more outdoor seating to accommodate guests. The outdoor area and restroom were both clean. read more

I hardly go here except in an emergency, but the same thing always happens. I like to go to the register instead of the self-service kiosk, because I special order so I don't get something lukewarm that's been sitting in the warming tray for three hours. When I go to the register, employees will walk by (including the manager) and not even acknowledge me until around five minutes later. Then after I order something they have to cook fresh, my order is ready in a minute or two. I then send it back because I know they didn't even listen to me. They need some new managers there, but since they make enough money from people addicted to their crappy food I'm sure the franchise owner doesn't give a rat's a** as long as he's making money. read more

I've always gotten good food at this McDonald's. Service, however, is often terrible. I just went to this location to buy breakfast. Since the drive-thru lanes were backed up into the parking lot, I parked and walked inside to order. I ended up 2nd in line, with more customers behind me. Just as it was my turn to order, someone in the kitchen told the counter clerk to "leave the customers" and help fill orders in the kitchen. Seven minutes later we were all still waiting for service, so I left and went to Burger King. Any business that tells its customer contact employees to ignore paying customers and walk away, because management cannot properly staff the operation, does not deserve to stay in business. Additional info: On April 14 I received a phone call from someone at this McDonald's. Once I got her to talk more slowly so I could understand what she was saying (she spoke with a very heavy accent), I figured out that it was a response to the above review. Basically, she told that this McDonald's would try to have more kitchen staff on duty during the busy times, so they didn't have to pull counter into the kitchen, leaving nobody to take orders. We'll see whether this improvement occurs, or whether this is just a meaningless corporate promise to try to win back a customer. Watch this space for further developments. read more
