Went there yesterday 4/11/13 my husband and I both got food poisoning from bad burger meat! Vomiting all night .. Never going back

Rediculous wait time. I was in the drive through line for a total of at least 30min. Once I got to the window the employee took my payment and had me wait while she walked around aimlessly for another 5min and my ice cream was just sitting there on the counter melting the whole time. Then I guess a light clicked in her head and she realized that it was my order and finally handed it to me. Really need to hire better employees or train them better. read more

Had the WORST service from the lady who took my order at 7:40am this morning! Her calling me honey just to be a smart A** didn't go over very well with me. If I could have pulled out and left I would have! I complained to the manager he said he would talk to her and he was very sorry. This mc Donald is better then the one by the oulets. This is the first time in gilroy I seen a mc Donald's employees use gloves when handling trash. When my girlfriend and I were waiting for our food the lady told us what we were waiting for which most mcdonal employees don't do= awesome! When we got our food we got it nice and hot. We lots of ketchup and sauces. This place was a pretty good mc donals and I feel it is the best one in gilroy. read more

Worst service !!! Our orders are always incorrect !!! Cold fries,incorrect drinks and order , I have been given someone else's order, You have to chk your order before leaving drive thru !! I have spoken to assistant manager and owner !! I am not a Yelp reviewer at all, I use Yelp more as a viewer, but I will leave a review if my experience is either really great or horrifically awful and with this place it is the latter of the two and I felt compelled to leave this more as a damn community notice. My experiences here have been so awful since day one. Born and raised in San Jose my whole life and we recently moved to Gilroy a year ago. This McDonald's is literally down the street from us so naturally it became our go-to. I am not lying when I say that 9/10 times, on average, they get our order wrong. To the point where when we order drive-thru we make sure to sift through the bag and inspect each item to make sure they got it right before leaving the window. Countless items we order items and get charged on the receipt for them yet left out of the bag and not noticed until we got home and I'm sure you can imagine that frustration. Every g** damn time. Once in a while, sure I understand, but 50/50 chance each time you go? That's just terrible franchise management. Never had these problems in any San Jose location on a consistent basis like this. In fact, the reason Im writing this review right now is because I'm fresh off ANOTHER bad experience just now! Me and my girlfriend had the day off work so we decide to get a 2 for 5 deal and see just how this location can screw it up today and they didn't disappoint as usual. They were out of filet o' fish sandwiches (fantastic), we asked for a plain McDouble cheeseburger and instead got a plain ass mcchicken (literally just the chicken between 2 buns, no sauce whatsoever and dry as a bone), and last but not least my gf asks for mayo and this brain dead employee said they didn't have any and so we told her that you guys obviously have to have mayo in the building and so she "UGH"s us with attitude because god forbid she has to walk her lazy ass over to the cooking area and fill a cup with mayo for us. Then we got home and discovered the plain mchicken. That was it for me, this camel's back has been broken. I'm refusing to ever order from here again. This place is quite possibly the single worst fast food location I've ever been to. And I hate to say this but even the McDonald's down the ways on the other side of the freeway by the outlets isn't much better. They screw up our orders just the same but at least the customer service/management there is cleaner/better, so as Gilroy residents we are kind of screwed unless we want to drive to McDonald's in Morgan hill lol Most of the workers at this location are absolutely dreadful. Rude, no smiles or customer service skills whatsoever and they look like they couldn't care less about this job or your order, thus the terrible service. I find it hilariously ironic that they spent all that time and money renovating the outside for months to make it look like one of the more modern McDonalds both inside and out, yet that same awful customer service is still there. I agree with many of the reviews here that they need a major employee overhaul. Hope these bad reviews make their way to the regional manager or whomever is responsible for it and I hope they make the necessary changes to improve it. Sticking those stupid automated order kiosks does nothing to fix the problems. My advice to anyone recently moved to Gilroy or who may be passing through and yelping this location: take the advice of these reviewers and myself and avoid this location, it's pure low class garbage. read more

If your thing is waiting forever to get only half of your cold food, look no further. I'd say 9 out of 10 times I come here I'm disappointed. Since I'm a glutton for punishment, I'll probably keep coming here so that I can be reminded that working at McDonald's is super hard. read more

Theres usually an entire line made up of customers who already received their order bringing their food back. If you eat here CHECK YOUR BAG before you leave. Ive gotten home late and get ready to sit down and eat, unwrap my food and my entire sandwich was missing. Plus all the employees look like tweakers. And theres almost always people circling back to the beginning of the drive through just to get to the window and present their receipt because the order is messed up. This is a HUGE waste of time for customers in the drive through. Ive waited behind one upset customer for 20+ minutes waiting for them to fix the order. 20 mins.... one customer.. im legit debating on just burning the place to the ground my damn self. read more

Litterally the slowest drive through in the world. 28 minutes for 5 cars.. are you serious! First couple times I thought it was a fluke then after 3 tries I realized it was not... go to san jose or anywhere else for mcdonalds you will be in and out...this place is a joke. read more

So my friend and I tend to come to this location a lot during later hours because your only late night options are jack in the box and this McDonald's.. Don't do it! Have gone like 3 times and each time they forget at least on thing and it's annoying when you get home and you have missing food. Also annoying they never serve ice cream past 11!! All I want is a soft serve cone but they claimed the fixed the machine but still don't serve it. 2 stars because one of the few 24 options. read more

Let me start by saying that since the pandemic started this location has been packed, non-stop it seems, despite their HORRIBLE service, so I don't see any negative reviews impacting this operation positively. However, I still feel compelled to leave a review. If management or ownership is reading this, please do something about your unprofessional employees. I'm sure that you have some stellar employees, but I'm here to talk about my experience...and in mine I have not run into those stellar employees (except for one whom I will mention later.) How is it that you can have 5 or so employees right behind the front counter, completely ignore several people waiting in front of the counter? No greeting, no "I'll be right with you," no eye contact, nothing! Management and ownership clearly has not made customer service a priority..or even a consideration with these people. I've been there several times to pick up a mobile order. My thought is...why bother to mobile order when they won't even start working on it until well after you arrive? A couple guys waiting to place an order never even got acknowledged for at least 15 minutes. That's crazy! I understand being busy. I get it, I really do. There's only so much you can do to keep up with orders. But please tell your employees to at least greet people that walk in, say a word or two that shows they know you exist, smile a little, show some basic customer service effort. It's mind blowing that none of them seem to have been taught this although they are working in a customer service position. I blame the management for this. I doubt this will change since they don't need to provide any semblance of customer service to sell their product at this location. Demand for fast food is high, Gilroy's population continues to grow, and unfortunately I don't believe they will need to improve their service in order to continue at their level of traffic there. Now to mention the one stellar employee I ran into there. After waiting 20 minutes for any kind of acknowledgement, an older gentleman walked by the front counter and asked if I had been helped. He immediately began to ask the people behind the counter if my order was being worked on. He was friendly and helpful, but the ONLY person of this sort I have run into here. I know people have complained about their orders being wrong, and I've experienced this also. I just thought their lack of customer service definitely deserved a mention. read more

This McDonald's is horrible. They have done this twice already where I have waited in the drive thru for a long time and they told me they are only accepting cash. They need to do a better job at that. At least put a sign up before we enter the drive thru that way we still have a chance to get out!!!! They don't even deserve a star. read more

Since the remodel the added the soda machine that has different favors such cherry vanilla Coke for example. But if you go through the drive through they will respond with that they don't carry such thing and this happened multiple times so if you want a different drink then standard ones you are gonna have to go in to get them read more

Very disappointed with this McDonald's. I hate writing bad reviews but i was very frustrated. I went there tonight and I ordered a 20 piece McNugget and 4 cheeseburgers. After I got home I found that there was only two cheeseburgers in the bag so half of my family gets to eat. read more

The worst McDonald's in the county. Fries are burnt and oily, Big Mac is smashed together, buns are hard, etc. this place does incredible business, it is always busy when I drive by. Goes to show that quality is not a concern but the mighty dollar. Come to think of it, you should limit going to any fast food place, perhaps cut it down to once a week. Went to this McDonalds for ice cream. Was told they didn't have ice cream. Waited in line for no reason. Horrible service.

The posted dining room hours are until 11 pm. When I went at 10:20 pm the doors were locked. Apparently the hours are whatever they decide. Not going back after reading the other reviews. Seems to be a downward trend. read more

In my opinion this is the worst mcdonalds i have ever been to. Don't ever order chicken nuggets they will never give you sauce cups. I always go through the drive through and i would say 9 our of 10 times they never give you sauce cups. The burgers are over cooked or over warmed up i don't know there constantly dry, dry, dry. Nasty they are. The frys are also over cooked which is disappointing because the fry's are my favorite out of all fast food chains. The frys are the best, but not at this mcdonalds there over cooked, hard and taste like oil. Over all don't go here. read more
