I had the cheesesteak and it was very good - with a heaping pile of meat and a soft hoagie roll. The housemade chips are tasty as well and they give you plenty of those to snack on. The restaurant has an open, industrial feel and it's a cool fit for downtown. I saw at least three other sandwiches I'd like to try on a return visit if I make it back to Flagstaff.

When I got it, after a long time of waiting, the staff was kind and she asked me if it looked good. Initially, it looked like there was mustard, so I clarified that I had asked for none on there. She confirmed that there wasn't and I that I had included that on my ticket. Guess my surprise when I took it home and pulled my corn dog out. She had put mustard on it mistakenly, then turned it over to hide it, blatantly lying and not remaking it to my face. This is 100% inappropriate. Do better!

Now I could see where a cheesy potato mixture might be your favorite thing in the whole world but it wasn't really my thing. My wife had the chicken fried steak and she said it was "ok". Her carrots were cooked way too long and mushy. But again, I could see where that might be your favorite. The biscuits were very good. The French fries were very good. Everyone working there was genuinely nice and friendly. The restaurant is decorated with a home style, old time country store feel. The thing that took my review from three stars to four is the fact that they allow one night RV parking in the back. Please call ahead to get permission and don't wreck it for everyone by deciding to change your oil in their parking lot! I would absolutely give them five stars if the food was just a little better but my hats off the the management for allowing RVers a free place to spend a night. We will be visiting Cracker Barrel again and I may upgrade my review as I try different things on the menu. Definitely try it, decent food and a fair price, maybe I should have led with that?
