I'm from New York, so any time I go to In-N-Out it's a 5/5 for me due to the novelty. That said, this location in particular was extremely efficient and welcoming. I came here with a friend around 6 pm on a weeknight, and the parking lot and drive thru were packed. The hardworking staff here went above and beyond to keep the line moving, taking orders and double checking they had everything entered in correctly before we hit the drive thru window. Can't speak to what the inside of this location looks like since we ate in the car (which they packed up perfectly for us). My burger was hot, fresh and well made with just the right amount of In-N-Out sauce. My fries were also smothered with sauce and cheese. I was a very happy camper. I was skiing in Flagstaff and then met with a friend later that evening. Sometimes I get that late night craving for a double double and fries and I have to satisfy it. So after my meeting, I went through the drive-thru here before heading back to Phoenix. I grew up going to In-N-Out Burger and still consider them my favorite fast food joint. Before they opened up restaurants in Arizona, stopping at one on a road trip to California was a family tradition growing up. I love the simplicity of their menu and how tasty the burgers are. This In-N-Out Burger is conveniently located off the main road through Flagstaff. At times, it can be a very busy store. The restaurant itself is usually pretty clean and the service is quick. This place was packed on Saturday for lunch but surprisingly the wait was not bad. There was a few employees outside cleaning tables, emptying trash, and also some standing by the door holding them open -welcoming guests in. We ordered regular cheeseburger meal with grilled onions, a hamburger meal with a cheeseburger on the side and a Pup Patty.* Great freshness and taste. They bungled the side cheeseburger by adding sliced onions instead of the requested grilled onions. French fries were as usual excellent. Restaurant tables were not cleaned as they usually are at other locations we visited--despite there only being about 6 tables occupied with customers. Third try got me a clean table. Cleanliness issues and order accuracy aside, service was fast and cheerful. *For those who travel with dogs, In-N-Out offers a salt-free Pup Patty on their secret menu. The only reason I didn't give this in n out 5 stars is because it's so busy in there you might not even be able to sit down and eat. It's better than Prescott, and Phoenix location. People like it, I don't like it, soggy with greasy, oily burgers and fries, fries are never crispy; always no life, saturated with oil, limp. They use fake bright yellow cheese, American cheese , dressing completely oozing out from the sides. The Flagstaff location, it was not as greasy during the grand opening, it was fresh and not as disgusting but 2 months I got another meal, it was the same greasy food as the other locations. Almost liked it, but f&f don't seem to care that their burgers are fall apart from too much grease and sauce, you squeeze the fries...u can see the oil drip from it. It seems like they get a little ladle of oil and pour over the fries and the burgers when they serve it to you to let you know that it was fried, and greasy like the old cafes but that's not how it was back in the old greasy spoon restaurants, they actually shake off the oil back in the 50s. read more

Neither of us gets the hype; very much lacking in flavor, kind of like McDonalds. The burger size was also smaller than expected, so I see why the double double is their best seller. Best Burger in Flagstaff Tour 2024!!! Second Stop: The long awaited arrival of In-n-Out! This location is new, we waited several months before giving them a try. If you told me this was 20 years in the making, a back and forth battle between a corporation and a City over traffic delays, and parking lot blueprints. That eventually the city would sell out, in what would be seen as a victory for all the Californians that have nestled in to Northern AZ. I'd probably believe you, and I'm sure I'm not far from truth either. The biggest issue with this location is, In-n-Out didn't take into account that everyone within a 45 min drive, (I'm talking 200,000 in the region plus 7m tourist every year) and they built a smaller establishment then Kingmen. This establishment is entirely too small for the amount of business it will garner, the corporation vastly underestimated how popular this location would be. They also built it in one of the worst locations in flagstaff for a restaurant. (And we're talking about a burger stand that you could have built behind the Monte V in the alley way, and people would still flock to it.) Good luck getting in there if you are coming from town, Milton is a shit show. However if you are rolling in from the 40 it'll be easy getting in there. Don't plan on dinning in, tho. Now for the food: Let's be honest, it's In-n-Out... You'd have to try and ruin it, the flavors are legendary. However the bun shouldn't have been dryer then my great-great-great grandmothers sarcophagus. That is of course if you get what you ordered. That was not the case durning this visit. The entire order was wrong and since we were lucky enough to get the last outside table in the not so blistering 89° heat, we tried to make do with what we got with the exception of one burger that was completely wrong. It took several minutes to replace it, but I was offered a complementary milk shake which ended up making the kids day. That's the only thing that saved this score, if my kids are happy I'm happy. In-n-Out is know for great customer service and this location was no exception. I'm sure they'll figure out the as dry as an Egyptian Temple style buns and for the most part you know what to expect from them. But if you want a truly great burger, there are many other options in town to try. Side Note: I'm not sure if the training team is still in the building, if they aren't, they didn't do a great job of setting this store up for success.
