I expected so much more from Columbia Maryland. in Texas thay are always noice and kind. here they are up in here with no menu, no lil TVs, and no one telling you what to order. so I walk up and I'm just like okay I'll get two large fries, a double quarter pounder, and a bebsi. they said NO. This location is particularly bad as far as McDonald's goes. I always order over mobile, but my expectations had to be drastically lowered at this location. It regularly takes 10 minutes to actually get my meal even when I place the order 5-15 minutes prior. Pro-tip: order for pick up in store. I find I get my food somewhat faster than waiting in the drive through lane. This location likes to tell you to pull up to the second pick up window and then forget about you for like 10+ minutes. Once they told me to pull up and wait for a soda. A SODA! I waited for my coke for 5 minutes, then when I got the soda, it was actually DIET coke instead of the regular coke I requested. When I complained the worker was so confused on what to do and took another five minutes before coming back with the same Diet Coke and asking me again what I wanted. Very frustrating. The quality of the food isn't very good. Food often will come to you not hot or fresh. Or sandwiches that look like they were slapped together by a blindfolded employee then thrown across the room. The tea tastes off sometimes too. Otherwise the staff definitely does not look nor act like they care about the quality of the food and service they provide. If you don't have time to wait around, go somewhere else. It's not a great place to spend a half hour lunch. The dining room can be pretty messy at times too. I haven't been to a McD's in a long time. My husband informed me this location was renovated somewhat recently. It's definitely nicer than other locations I have been to. It even has two self serve machines to place your order online. My husband and I arrived around 12:30 and the drive through line was busy. Apparently some folks don't know the set up for the drive thru as they were blocking part of the lot to drive around the drive thru and we were held up. The inside was pretty empty in comparison. As I mentioned I haven't been to a McD's in awhile so I was surprised at how pricy a meal is now. It feels like just yesterday it was only $6, but maybe that just means I'm getting older. My 10 piece chicken nugget meal today was $7.59. That's almost the price you would pay for some fast casual restaurants. My husband got a big mac meal for roughly the same price. The taste of the food was equivalent to what you would expect elsewhere. Although the fries were so piping hot, I had to blow on them and let it cool down for a minute. Helpful tip to note (poster displayed on a window): If you purchase a gift card of $50 or more between Nov 23-Dec 31 you will receive a free Big Mac once a mth for a whole yr. It took 30 minutes to get my food done. I ordered a moderate amount and it took very long to make. When I received my food, the order was wrong. They had given me a cheeseburger instead of a big mac. There were many people waiting for their food as well at 8pm. It was an overall bad experience and I do not recommend going here if you are wanting your food fast and correct. read more

I stayed at the hotel across the way from this McDonald's and I could see that there was always a good queue at the drive through from 5:00 to past 7:00. McDonald's isn't in any danger of going out of business, that's for sure. Inside, this McD's was reasonably clean and the condiments area was decently tidy. The crew was doing what they could to get orders filled but they were shorthanded by at least one. My quick cheeseburger, fries and bottle of water was trayed up and ready. These reviews don't lie. This is the slowest and most disorganized McD in the area. My standards aren't high for a Mickey Deez but every time I've come here my order takes at least 20 min. Almost every other fast/fast casual place lets you order ahead of time and they prep it before you get there but for some reason, you have to be within close proximity of the "restaurant" to place your order and have them start prepping it. This would be fine if the orders came out quicker. The food was OK and it's the only reason it didn't get a 1 star. Go elsewhere please to at least give the overworked staff a break. read more

I decided to visit this McDonald's around 1:30am in the morning. I ordered two McChicken Sandwiches and a small fry. It was obvious that they had enough staff and they weren't busy at all, only about two other orders on the board that had been already ordered and made before mine. I stood there for a good 15-20 minutes waiting for my order. I only ordered two sandwiches and a small fry, you'd expect something that small to come out in 5 minutes. I'm very dissatisfied with their lack of customer service due to it being the night time, if you're open 24/7 might as well have the same service 24/7! After expressing to the worker that I was upset because it took them 15 minutes to make two sandwiches that aren't even complicated, she just blatantly ignored what I said and went along with her business. Took my son to grab a late lunch after his school was on lockdown to lift his spirits. We ordered a couple of sandwiches and two vanilla shakes. This is my local McDonald's and its disappointing. The new drive thru is terrible. Having two lanes doesn't speed up any thing at all as you often wait longer due to people having to pay. One in particular problem is their new rule that you only get 1 sauce per 6 piece chicken nugget otherwise you pay 35 cents per sauce. As a person who loves fries with sweet and sour it's irritating that they want you to pay more after they just made you wait 45 minutes for your food in the first place. It seems to be one particular cashier who consistently brings about this rule, it's ridiculous and it's going to make this particular McDonald's lose customers. I don't typically write negative reviews but I had to go around a drive through three times to address issues with the order being wrong or the food being cold. This is after waiting about 10 minutes for my initial order. At the end, the final straw was when the manager insisted I pay for two sandwiches I've already payed for.
