Location is kinda awkward to get to off the freeway, especially if you are getting into the drive-through when it's busy. This is the last McDonalds before going up the grade into Thousand Oaks. Honestly I know not to expect much from McDonald's whenever I go but I at least expect their taste to be the same no matter what location I go to. But for some weird reason whenever I come here their fries never taste like McDonald's fries! They always taste horrible. The one thing they are consistent with is forgetting to put my fries in the bag. Service is poor and every other time I use their drive-thru, they have me go park in one of their spots reserved for drive-thru orders they are too slow at fulfilling. On my most recent visit, the employee at the pick up window was nice enough to tell the the straw was in my bag, but not nice enough to tell me she didn't put my fries in the bag. I even asked her for extra sauce for my fries. I did not get my fries again, but they got my money for it! I'm writing this review in hopes someone can help. This McDonald's needs help. There are 3 McDonald's in this town, unfortunately I live close to this one, it's the worst. I will share a few recent experiences: We just finished our quarter pounders with cheese, the meat was pink, hardly cooked, half the cheese was melted and stuck to the box, hoping we don't get sick. The last time we ordered McRibs (one of my favorites), they were dry, they neglected to put any sauce on them. Another recent order, after waiting in their parking lot for our drive thru order, when we finally got our order and opened the bag, the boxes of burgers were sideways and open, all the cheese and condiments had fallen off in the bag, plus the order was missing an item. I know this all sounds pretty petty, I could go on, but I think you get the point. And you ask why we keep going back, I'm writing this because I'm done with it. I would suggest getting someone who knows how to manage fast food restaurants that could teach quality and workmanship pride to these young employees. I'm actually a pretty big fan of McDonald's, so a 2 star review for a McDonald's is pretty out of the ordinary from me. It was 91 degrees outside and they had some poor girl sitting out in the sun order taking. She seemed a little frustrated, with due reason. There was no menu, so she waited to take my order until I could pull up and see the menu, which had no prices on it - irritating. Then when I paid, a very sweet but very clueless cashier gave me my receipt with no change. Awkward to make a big deal about .30 cents, so I let it go, but annoying. The food was ok. Fries were warm, but not hot and fresh. Nuggets seemed old. I will say everyone was nice and I did get my order quickly, but the quality of my food which tasted like it had been ready for a while before I even ordered it told me why. read more

Second, a Quarter Pounder ordered with no pickles or onions came with onions and no cheese. It's not hard to screw up an order if someone is paying attention. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! I went through the drive through and asked for a lettuce burger, caramel coffee, and 10 pc chicken nuggets. This Is my first visit to this McDonalds, it was a quick and easy visit, a young lady took my order instead of the drive through box it was probably due to fact that it was towards the end of lunch, I ordered a bacon ranch salad, which was quite good, but I wished they cut the chicken all the way except just part of the. Way, it just leaves for a struggle to eat the chicken and salad, croutons would be nice too, but over all a nice Salad and very filling. I will definitely visit this Micky D's again for lunch, quick and easy that's exactly how you would want your Mc Donald's. I will definitely have some follow up visits to update and keep the info flowing for this particular Mc Donald's so my review may accurate. I was probably there about 20-30 minutes ago. Ordered through the drive thru. My first initial welcome was nice while my order was taken. Proceeded to the window to pay and it was a younger gentleman who gave no greeting or smile what so ever. Just read me my order, my total then turned for my money. Didn't even throw in a "hows your day going?" While I was getting exact change. And the presentation of my food was horrible. The young lady opened the window said "here you go" with a half assed smile and handed me my food and drink then closed the window. No "have a great day" or "thank you" or anything. And I saw through the window there happened to be a manager standing not too far away but I'm sure he wasn't going to do anything.
