I wanted powerade so I told one of the workers that theres no powerade in the machine. He looked SO confused like that NEVER happens. and he didn't move an inch to getting more. (no powerade for me) My dad ordered a fish fillet sandwich. He wanted extra tartar sauce so they charged him 32cents, ok. BUT tell me why... When my dad opened his fish fillet sandwich that it was spewing with tartar sauce. WHY!? We definitely meant an extra PACKET because we didn't order tartar sauce with a side of fish fillet. We had to eat in the car, so my mom had to keep passing my dad napkins after every bite in the car. As a chain in a popular/common roadtrip-stop... Blegh. Next time I stop in buttonwillow, I'll just get food at carls Jr or someplace else. read more

Relatively clean for a McDonald's, the outdoor picnic/eating area is a cute touch (though when it hits 110°F in July, probably more seating than they had during our recent visit). The crew behind the register could be a bit sharper. Prime example: ordering a Happy Meal for Miss Fussy Pants. Just her and I ordering, and Young Dude asks, "toy for a boy or a girl." Perhaps it's the script, but the kid in the dress and pigtails next to me should offer a clue. Also not impressed that he informed us the 4-piece Happy advertised on the sign is actually a 6-piece Happy Meal. Really, 'cuz the sign mentions that one separately as a Mighty Meal or something, and this pipsqueak is hardly mighty. But he vapor-locked on how to ring up the desired 4-piece and I finally surrendered to end the experience. We took hers to go and went across to Carl's Jr., where I found more prominent signs of intelligent life. And needless to say, I found myself inhereiting the surplus two McNuggets, though felt no more mighty for the experience. read more

LAST RESORT Kids running a mcdonalds is exactly how it looked and issues were handled. FIRST TIME: Did not get the correct order, and food was COLD, SECOND TIME: Spoke with Manager and Replaced MY order with COLD food. 3RD TIME: Spoke to the manager and still received COLD burgers -- at least their was my full order of HOT NUGGETS Bathroom not kept clean: out of seat covers and toilet paper, which was all over the ground, and no soap in dispenser. read more

I've came to this McDonald's a few times.. I live locally so it's closer than driving to Shafter for McDonald's... but I think I am going to start making the commute. Consistently, it's never been a good experience here at Buttonwillow McDonald's. Let me tell you about my five minutes ago order: Drive through, I get a rude "welcome" and usually this is normal but the cashier girl was looking at me so mean when I pulled up. No smile or even a "how is your day" but you know, I always try to think "maybe they're having a bad day" but in a business, that does not excuse this terrible customer service. She was blatantly staring at me and looking completely impatient when there wasn't even traffic at that time. Now, when I got to the pick up window, just as let down and disappointed. The girl didn't smile or even look me in the eye, didn't say hello, or even confirm what my order was!!! I always try to "kill them with kindness" but obviously, these workers were unappreciative and completely uncaring of their customers. So sad to say that I work in the same area, just down the street, from them. Will not recommend them to my work's guests. Ever. I just hope a manager see's this and gets their customer service act together. I'm not even going to go off on their food quality. Terrible. All I can really say to sum it up. Burger was so greasy that the bottom of the box was filled. & service wasn't great.

My boyfriend and I pulled up to the drive through. The lady said "order when you're ready." We literally took 30 seconds to decide on our order. My boyfriend says "hello, we're ready." And we waited one minute, two minutes and nothing. Finally, after repeating ourselves and asking if someone was there, we decided to pull up to the window. In front of one of the windows was an employee speaking to a second employee. We tried to get her attention numerous times. At one point she looked straight at us. My boyfriend and I had been driving for four hours on a road trip. We were so hungry at this point and this McDonalds was supposed to be open. Instead, they shooed us away. read more

This is the most beautiful McD's I've ever been to. Their french fries were fresh. The chicken mcnuggets were made to order & the service was exceptional and friendly. We ordered with ease. The cashier, I believe, was one of the store's managers. He was very nice and made sure our order was correct before bringing it out to us. We didn't have to ask for anything, not a straw, napkins, Ketchup, sauce, or anything else. Having fed my lil one while we waited for our food to be cooked, I went to wash my hands. The restroom was immaculate, even the countertops and mirrors were dry and spotless. Seriously, I am impressed!!! My food was surprisingly good. Because really, McD's is kinda one of the last resorts when it comes to food but partly, to me, it's because you step foot in there dreading the freshness of the products, both the finished prepared items and the ingredients and things before preparation. Stopped here during a long trip. Tried to order a 6 pc nuggets combo. Employee says they don't have a 6 pc combo here. Okay I'll get the 10 pc. Ask for BBQ sauce. Get the food. No BBQ sauce. Go back in, get the sauce. While I'm eating I check the mcd app. Guess what you can order... a 6 pc nuggets combo.
