Spicy nuggets

This McDonald's is always busy, especially when school is in session. Even when you order ahead on the app, there is almost always a wait. It can get really crowded inside, so if you're dining in, the seating upstairs is nicer and much more spacious than the few tables downstairs. Food is what you would expect from any other McDonald's, and the few times things have been missing, they've been quickly corrected. Location is very convenient on 86th Street, but just be prepared to wait a little longer than some other locations.

Got a 20 piece nuggets and didn't bother to look inside the box until I got home. They're all burnt. I don't understand how the hell they thought it was okay to not just burn it but to serve it to someone. Not only are they all burnt but it's not even a 20 piece! They can't cook or count. Freakin idiots.

My sister and I ordered breakfast for delivery via Uber Eats and this time around, all I have are praises. Tbh we weren't planning on ordering from this location (read my last review abt service & delivery for clarification), but my sister misread the address (she thought this was the other 86th St location). Anyways, delivery was EXTREMELY fast. From the time we placed the order to the time it arrived, it only took 20 minutes, perhaps even less. The food was warm and tasty and DO YOU SEE THOSE BEAUTIFUL GOLDEN HASH BROWNS? We also got more condiments--extra butter and ketchup--than asked for. AND SINCE WHEN DOES MCDONALD'S OFFER COMPLIMENTARY APPLE FRITTERS? I was going to give this place 4 stars, but the free apple fritter really did it for me. Ngl it looked kinda ugly, but I had never tried the apple fritter at McDonald's before and boy was it sweet deliciousness. Will definitely be ordering apple fritters the next time around!

It gets pretty mad in here, that's why they call it MadDonald's. It's one of the busiest McDonald's I've ever seen in my life. Way too many school kids in here hanging out. Nothing against them but wow. Definitely needs few more tables and chairs to handle all the insane traffic that it gets. The school kids were unusually friendly though. Holding the bathroom door for me and being nice to me. There's some good people in Bay Ridge and apparently they're raising their kids nicely. Except for their eating habits of course because they are at McDonalds.

They did a pretty quick job of getting my wife's order ready from all ordering. It's maybe not the best presentation (and the smell leaves a little to be desired) but overall it's a good atmosphere with good food.

The Shamrock Shake. A yearly favorite for me.

My main reason for visiting this local McD's is to enjoy the $1 coffee with friends after some shopping or general errands in the vicinity. I don't mind the occasional cheeseburger despite what my waistline says about it and as far as a fast food chain goes they do alright with tending to my meager needs. The staff always seems friendly which I try to give right back to them and that is important because some customers come in with this air of superiority. No need to stomp on the cashiers based on your own bad day so leave that nonsense outside. Overall this seems to be a clean place and I have often seen a franchise manager or owner checking into the restaurant and meeting with staff. Its good to have that presence as long as everyone isn't getting spooked by him being there and messing up. There is a larger upstairs dining area which is where I generally go to sit. It should be noted that the long tables with the higher stools have the ability to charge your mobile device or plus a laptop in which is ALWAYS beneficial. It can be crowded based on the time you go there so I would say avoid a Saturday or Sunday shopping rush and close to when the nearby high school lets out because it will be chaos. Nothing more that I can add here so I will close with "I'm Lovin' It" (most of the time :)

Quarter pounder with cheese meal

This was a pretty busy McDonald's. The dining area was packed with very few seats open. Per the usual before running a half marathon or marathon, I stopped in here to pick up a quick cheap meal. I got their Quarter Pounder with cheese meal which came with french fries, and a drink. Nothing beats McDonald's fries! As to be expected, the food was ready shortly after I placed my order. I took it back to my hotel room to enjoy. Everything tasted as they should.

Always no parking, so best if someone goes in to get food while double parking ;)
Cindy N.

Overly crowded around noon, no parking. Your typical mcdonalds in a shopping area and hugh school Theres 2 floors but still never enough tables during rush hours. Pro about that is fresh fries!!! they open early and close late Street parking is always hard to find so best to come early if you're planning to stay around to shop. Or when its lunch time i always come with a friend to go in while i double park.

Possibly one of the worst Mcdonald's around. I think in the last 4 times I've been there they have gotten my order wrong 3 times.

Let's start with the good - the service and ambiance were on point. I went on a Sunday evening around 7pm. It was busy inside, but since I was a solo diner I was seated immediately by the bar. The servers were friendly and attentive. Probably 3-4 different people checked in multiple times throughout the meal. Where I struggle is with the actual burger itself. As a non-resident New Yorker, for me $22.50 is a lot to spend on a burger and fries. It needs to rock my world at that price point. And it just didn't. I got the B&B Burger. The onion ring tasted like it had been refried a second time to make my burger. The bread was crumbly like it was on the verge of going stale. The actual beef patty itself was decent - good flavor. Usually I can overlook an okay burger if the fries are top notch, but these fries were under-seasoned and also 'just okay'. I also got a side of Chicken Tenders. These were good - no complaints here. I really wanted to like this spot, but not sure this would be a return visit for me.

Fast service and it's really easy to order through their website since customization is seamless…read more Restaurant itself is small, has a very small dispenser of condiments packets, and I'm not a fan of the rough napkins lol. I ordered: * Truffle Maker ($11.59) * Truffle Parmesan Fries ($6.50) * Chicken Bites with BBQ sauce ($8.05) * Large Yuzu Honey Lemonade ($4.00) Truffle maker was pretty good and I was glad I was able to remove the caramelized onions and truffle aioli (I'm picky). The bun is soft and sweet and the burger has a good amount of sautéed mushrooms. Truffle Parmesan fries were pretty standard, but still very good. Yuzu honey lemonade has bits of citrus at the bottom of the drink and it was refreshing. I saved the chicken bites hours later and it was still pretty crispy after being microwave. Texture was reminiscent of Taiwanese popcorn chicken, nicely seasoned. Overall had a pleasant experience, I definitely want to return and try the rest of their menu.

Considering the height of the table, they were the perfect height. I like the music that was being played. The music wasn't too loud or too low. I was able to make conversation without the music being overwhelming. Service 10/10 This joint has a self-order/self-checkout option, which makes it easier. They also have a restroom. Not all restaurants have restrooms that are made available to customers. That is an A+ in my book. Food 10/10 I ordered Hous Burger (hold the onions. Don't at me) it was pretty good. The taste of their burgers is different from most of the burger places I have tried before. I have also ordered Yuzu Honey Lemonade. I was trying to taste the honey in the lemonade. I guess I was expecting too much. The drink was refreshing. I may try the Matcha Yuzu Lemonade next. I met a gentleman who goes by the name Ten P aka 10pushups on IG. He recommended that I try his cola shake. That is what I got, plus the whipped cream. I was honestly looking for the taste of Coca-Cola because Cola is in the name. Regardless of what I expected, the shake was pretty good. I am not a shake person, so when he asked me to try it, I made an exception. Overall: I plan on coming back to Bun Haus. This was good eats.

"LIVES UP TO THE HYPE"…read more For the last few years I've been seeing videos on Tik-Tok and Facebook's "Reels" about Brennan & Carr, a Brooklyn institution that serves a famous roast beef sandwich. Video after video of the sandwich being dunked in the equally-famous "au jus" gravy that had my mouth watering. But I live in Westport, Connecticut, and though I go into Manhattan a lot (I used to live in the East Village), a rarely have a reason or need to go to Brooklyn, and I know few people there, so my wish to sample a Brennan & Carr roast beef has gone unrealized. Until this past Sunday. I recently befriended a fellow pop culture enthusiast and author who lives in Brooklyn, and he invited me to his book release party for his family and friends at his home on Sunday afternoon. When I Google-mapped my driving route, I wondered if Brennan & Carr might be close enough that I could go there after the afternoon party. To my surprise and joy, they were 5 minutes away! So I finally got to try a B&C RB sammie. Of course, I asked for it "all the way," with cheese, onions, and fully dipped in the au jus. That first bite was like a little taste of (roast beef) heaven!!! That first surge of "hot beef" flavor is unforgettable! I was amazed that the hefty bun it came on was able to simultaneously soak up all that au jus without falling apart at all! It maintained its integrity all the way to the final bite. Which, by the way, I could BARELY finish, it was so filling! I came practically starving, and that roast beef sandwich so filled me up that I barely touched the (excellent) onion rings that I had also ordered! Upon leaving (with a "dry" sandwich to go, with the au jus in a cup!), I had a great chat with the man at the cash register (whom I think was also the manager), Patrick Stackpole, about our shared love for Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone (that's a whole other story!). Suffice it to say, Brennan & Carr's roast beef sandwich more than lives up to the hype!!! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna have my to-go roast beef for dinner!

always such a treat to dine here!!!…read more the staff was incredibly friendly, special shout out to Nia for getting our group of 5 a table! she made magic happen and we are so super grateful for it we started with the kale caesar salad..... I'm not sure if we just got lucky, but we managed to get seated immediately while walking in on a Friday night. We shared the burger (with an egg and bacon) and the mortadella sandwich with a side of plain fries. So good and so rich -- I don't think the egg nor the bacon was particularly necessary but they're definitely impressively done. We almost ordered the loaded fries that come topped with mornay sauce, but I'm glad we didn't because the plain fries were probably the lightest part of our meal. The nail in the coffin was the chicken wings, which we didn't order but the waiter brought us because we agreed to move to a downstairs table during the middle of our meal to accommodate another larger party (which we would've done for free anyway). The wings were nice and fresh and juicy and crunchy, but they come as a pretty large portion so we were definitely stuffed. Before all this, we had been thinking about ordering the chocolate pie for dessert, but even I had to draw the line somewhere -- it'll be our reason to come back (maybe with more people next time). Definitely not an everyday kind of spot, but a great treat-yourself kind of restaurant with a super friendly staff!
