amazing work
Brooklyn B.

Old Man finally wears Gloves now! too bad he never changes them so you can see him touch everything, raw eggs, raw meat, cooked meat, salads... bread, his nose, never seen the workers wash hands while waiting 20min for food. Great Job, too many stomach problems and I wonder why I had them, you can only imagine what's going on behind the doors in kitchen and upstairs

Banana, blueberry and strawberry smoothie with milk
Alice C.

This place usually has passable food, but after the renovations I've noticed the rolls have been a little tougher...I usually don't waste, but I just couldn't eat it too the last bite. Today I ordered a smoothie and it's more milk than fruit. I noticed that from the beginning, but didn't say anything. It was milky and frothy with s little taste of the banana, strawberry and blueberries I requested. So I think if I have to continue getting my breakfast here, I'll be sticking to my coffee...

A small spot that gets the job done! (And thats a compliment) No BS, Delicious food and fast service. I enjoy coming here for breakfast and coffee, cant go wrong with it at all. Love beginning my day at Plaza King when given the chance.

I stop here when I am craving a fast and cheap breakfast. Never had any problems with my orders and food is always hot and delicious.

A nice little coffee shop across from The Kings Plaza mall makes great salads and sandwiches. Their prices are very reasonable too.

Absolutely disgusting!! By far the worse diner I have ever had food from. Also my partner vomited halfway through eating it.

food was pretty bland, not good from what I ordered, which was French toast and turkey sausage. Definitely not buying from here again.

We were waiting for visiting hours at the hospital down the road and are so grateful Yelp led us to this coffee shop. Although indoor seating wasn't currently available, they moved a table and chairs outside for us so we could relax and enjoy our excellent mocha. I also appreciated that when we received our drink, the barista asked us to let him know how it was and if any adjustments were needed. Rest assured, it was perfect. After reading other reviews, I purchased a chocolate babka (my first) for the road and our whole family enjoyed it later that evening. So rich and decadent that I was happy to share. After two week-long visits to NYC and its boroughs, this was one of our favorite experiences because it was filled with kindness. The majority of our customer experiences were so rushed (next!) and transactional, that it was almost an other worldly experience to have someone take their time, care about their product and your experience, and just take a breather from city life. When in Brooklyn, we'll be back.

I ordered the Journey to Baku salad, the Turkish bread, and the Guru Khingal. The salad needed a pinch of salt, but there was a shaker on the table and with that addition, it was a decent refreshing appetizer. It's sort of a spread so I would recommend ordering some bread to eat with it. The bread came out steaming hot and smelling amazing. It was soft and fluffy on the inside and delicious. I took the extra home and ate it all immediately when I got there. Delicious bread. The Guru Khingal is honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten in New York City. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, as I have never eaten this type of food before. The tender, handcut pasta seems to be layered with flavorful lamb fat like the most decadent possible buttered noodles and the ground lamb topping is rich and perfectly seasoned. The yogurt sauce gives the dish balance. It's a fairly large portion that could easily be shared between two. I highly recommend this spot, the glowing reviews are not exaggerating at all. I often like to try new and unusual restaurants, and sometimes I enjoy them mostly for the novelty. That was not the case at Village Cafe. My meal here was delicious and I am eager to return, even with the 75 minute commute from north Brooklyn.

I felt like I was inside someone's home and felt welcomed and comfortable. Not loud and well lit. Service (5/5): We came at an off hour during the weekend around 1:30pm there was still around 6 parties dining in. The staff provided good recommendations and good service. When asked for water without any lemon slices, they provided bottled water at no extra cost! Food: (4/5) - rated New York Times top 100 Best Restaurants in New York City in 2025 Every dish came with a small cup of sour cream / Tzatziki based sauce that went with every dish. This was a must and this was mastered very well. Kutaby with chicken and lamb (4/5) - we ordered one each but the lamb was far superior than the chicken. Guru Hingal (4/5) - served in a warmed bowl with a lid in a bed of soft pasta and minced lamb. The pasta reminded me of chow fun (Chinese rice flat noodles) and then some seasoned minced lamb. While overall there were flavors in there, it was still lacked flavors and required to be drowned in the Tzatziki sauces or perhaps a order of table hot sauce. Finally we got the Lamb Lulya Kebab (5/5): this was by far the best dish of the meal! The meat was so wonderfully seasoned throughout, juicy, and complemented well with the rice, onions, and tomato based dip. The wraps themselves were way too small to enjoy using hands so we definitely reconstructed on our plates and attempts with our hands.
