McDonald's - French Fries - Burgers Near Me - Bloomington, Indiana

My husband and I visited the McDonald's Restaurant #3310 on West Third Street in Bloomington this morning. We frequent McDonald's regularly, though we do not often order breakfast. Today we decided to try something different. Unfortunately, the mobile app was experiencing technical difficulties, so we placed our order through the drive-thru instead. We ordered a "Big Breakfast with Muffin and Hotcakes," but when the employee gave us the total, it immediately seemed lower than expected. At the first window, I asked the employee to verify the order. She informed me that we had stated we did not want the hotcakes. I clarified that we had, in fact, ordered the Big Breakfast with Muffin and Hotcakes. At that point, rather than addressing the concern, the employee turned away mid-conversation to assist another customer on her headset, ignored what I was saying, made no corrections to the order, and handed me the receipt. Recognizing that the issue was not going to be resolved at that window, I proceeded to the next window and spoke with the manager. This was not at request. The manager was already at the window when I arrived. The manager explained that we had not been charged for the hotcakes and instructed us to take the order and drive back around through the drive-thru line to place another order. This occurred during the morning rush on a workday at approximately 8:15 AM, when time was limited. I work in customer service myself and make a conscious effort to treat service employees with patience, kindness, and understanding, even on difficult days. Because of that, I also recognize when customer service falls far below reasonable expectations. What was most disappointing was not the original ordering mistake, as those happen, but the dismissive and argumentative way the situation was handled afterward. We were repeatedly told what we "did" and "did not" say, while no effort was made to correct the issue in a reasonable or customer-focused manner. Ultimately, we left without the order we requested and with a very negative impression of the experience. I hope management will use this as an opportunity to emphasize attentive listening, professionalism, and basic problem resolution during customer interactions. read more

I really need to do a better job on these lanes. You can't take four orders in one lane then go back to the next one. They just need to do a better job at every location. I go to do pretty well, but not this one when it comes to that. read more

Hey! It's time to update my review! I couldn't pick a better time. It was Friday night, the kid wanted some McDonald's, and I figured I'd use the app for ordering since they are pushing us to the app and ordering kiosks anyway. Ordering. Fine. Specials! Nice. Free fries? Discount? I'll take the discount. Oh! They offer table service? We enter the table number and they'll bring it to us? Yes please! What could have been, Mickey D. What could have been..... I ordered ahead... used the app... I chose table service. We got there and I checked in. I heard someone behind the counter yell out my table number to let the crew know I was there for my order, which I waited at least a good 10 minutes for. So we sit. And sit. And sit. Then a guy pops his head around the corner and yells out my table number. I confirm I am indeed there for the table service, which it was clear they had no intention of actually honoring. Instead of food on a tray ready to eat, it was served in to-go bags, and I was given an empty cup that I had to walk all the way over and fill myself. Thanks guys. A lady at a table nearby told me she had also ordered table service and had to go get her order from the counter. Pretty sad when a task like that can't be handled properly. The food was the usual fare. Half filled fries, as is their custom, and the burgers you expect. I just don't even know what to make of this place anymore. It's like a box that just cranks out burgers with people as the engine making it go. It's just sad. It's also the only chain that doesn't let you just go to the counter and order from an actual person. If you want what you expect at a drive through, go for it. Don't expect anything more. read more

Mobile ordered prior to the end of breakfast and attempted picked up just after 10:30. I was told since it was passed breakfast, I could no longer pickup the food I paid for. Isn't the whole point of mobile ordering to have the meal prepared so you can pick it up and go? So why was my order not there for me to pick up? Absolutely ridiculous that they just didn't make the meal I ordered. Manager said it was "on us" and blamed my party. Terrible customer service. read more

Stopped here on a Friday for dinner, the drive through was packed but no one was inside so we had our choice of tables. We did the mobile food order (highly recommend!) and food was ready about two minutes after we arrived. Food was super hot, great as always! Staff was nice. Only issue was the restaurant wasn't super clean, kept having to move on when looking for a table as a lot were dirty. Which is a bit concerning. read more

For a McDonald's, the customer service was very good. I used the app but twice I was asked if I had been helped. It only took 5 minutes for my order. I have seen McDonald's if you don't use the app or the kiosk you might wait 10 minutes just to get help. Someone used the the kiosks and did not enter the table number. The manager was very nice explaining for the future in a manner he was genuinely being helpful and not just making their job easier. Another plus was the ice cream machine was working!!!!! I always check out McBroken to see if the ice cream is working and if not, I hit the next one. Bathroom is as clean, everything was in order. read more

Got the Big Mac combo and it was the messiest piece of slopp ever. Couldn't bite into it without the so called sauce drenching down my shirt and pants. On top of that the meat is the same size as a sausage patty, definitely does not cover a bun! Guess that's why they put both pieces hanging off the bun. It's bought time to start boycotting McDonalds and Taco Bell with their fake propaganda advertising!! read more

All I ordered was a plain sundae and a medium water. While yes, they were a little busy, I would expect that it wouldn't take long to put some ice cream in a cup and give me an empty cup for water, since this is a location where you get your own drink. I waited and watched as who I assume to be the manager put her hair into the bags she was working on, leaning over them to grab something. Utterly disgusting. I waited for 15 minutes before I ended up giving up and leaving. I wasted $3.18 that could've been used for something else. The woman who I assume to be manager was also very rude to customers, clearly woke up on the wrong side of the bed. This may be one of the worst McDonald's experiences I have ever had. read more

I ordered on the mobile app curbside. when I got there the app glitched and wouldn't allow me to input parking #. So I just went inside. They refused to give me my food because "it wasn't on their screen" even when I showed them my accepted order on the app, the confirmation email AND where it deducted from my checking account. They refused to help me. Would not give me my money back or the food I had clearly ordered and paid for. I just walked out of this restaurant after experiencing the manager and staff yelling at the customers. The gentleman who walked in to use the kiosk ordered and walked up to the counter to pay, which I saw him stand there for five minutes. The manager looked over at him a few times, and did not acknowledge him. He politely said I need to pay for my order the kiosk won't accept Payments. The manager yelled back at him telling him he just needed to be patient saying what the hell is your problem, telling him he'll get to him when he gets there. At that point a few other patrons popped up and said he doesn't have a problem it's the system, and then the manager and staff started yelling at the customers, oh, and about five or six customers were yelling back. It is almost a bra I just had to walk out. It's very sad these days. Customer service is not anything that it used to be, nor is it where it even should be at a minimum. read more

As of 10am on 5/27/21 they are cash only. There is no sign to inform customers until they reach the speaker to order which for me took about 5 minutes. There is one lane open. The screen is broken as well. The woman who took my order did not offer to make anything a meal or ask what I wanted to drink. Additionally, they didn't put syrup/butter/forks/napkins in the bag for the big breakfast and sandwiches I ordered. I'll probably just go somewhere else from now on read more

Took 20 minutes to get two mcchickens and a triple hamburger. I ordered the mcchickens with no mayo and they came with mayo. My triple burger was a double burger. It's mickie d's, and it's just fast food, but as far as I'm concerned, this is about as shitty as a fast food experience gets. read more

This is my first time in a McDonalds in about ten years, and I must say I'm quite impressed. This particular place is clean and the staff are very accommodating. The menu is the menu: not too many veggie options and a little pricier than I expected. But good job on a nice overall impression. Two suggestions though: get soy milk for the coffee, and if you lose the Fox TV you'd gain another star! read more

I was verbally assaulted by the manager at this store. I went in and ordered at the kiosk and did not get a receipt and did not catch my order number. I went up and asked if I could get a receipt. The manager at the front told me he was busy and I would have to wait. I stepped back and waited. Another man came in and asked him for 2 forks and some sugar. The manager did not reply. After a few min the guy asked again. He tried telling him they were in the drive thru and did not get forks or sugar. The manager grabbed forks and threw a bin of sugar on the counter and walked away. After about 15 min I asked again for a receipt since the manager was at the cash register. I was still waiting on my food. After a few more minutes I thought my food came up approached and asked if it was mine and could I have a receipt. HE YELLED AT ME " Take your food and get out". I was shocked to say the least. I looked in the bag and took it. I went to fill my tea and realized there were no napkins in the bag. I went to ask for some since there was none in the lobby. I had to ask him something again. He yelled GET OUT. I ASKED HIS NAME ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT HE DID NOT HAVE TO HAVE TO GIVE IT TO ME. Never was I rude to this manager. The door dash lady who was also waiting said she was calling corporate and suggested I do the same. . NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I BEEN TREATED WITH SUCH HOSTILITY. I will be contacting corporate. There is no need for this man to be working with the public. I forgot to mention the guy who was making hashbrowns who kept rubbing his nose and eyes and just stood there doing nothing most of the time. read more

This location has definitely gotten better. They shut down for several months and renovated the entire restaurant. They even redid the drive-thru. The speed has increased the staff has improved both customer service wise and with the accuracy of orders. They have increased their staff at night which makes it quicker to get your food. They still have some work to do with the attitudes of their drive-thru staff. Depending on what time of day you go depends on what attitude you're going to get from the cashier and the person giving you your food. Always check your bag to make sure everything is in there before leaving. I have had multiple occasions where they're forgotten something or gave me the wrong item. read more

A colleague and I just went through the drive thru, and after waiting at least 30 minutes after we paid, we get to the food window. And my colleague asks for a new coke because his has melted. And the worker says to my colleague "I'm just going to go commit suicide" and leaves. I really hope he doesn't - but hopefully McDonald's hires some people so that young man doesn't feel like that in the future. Apparently they're short staffed. read more

This McD's has been shut down for repairs and renovations for several months. It recently reopened, and I checked it out a couple of weeks ago to see how it had improved. I was very disappointed, because from what I saw as a drive-thru customer, things had only slowed down considerably. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt... after all, maybe there were "bugs" to work out or something. No such luck. Went through the drive through again and was disgusted at how long the wait was for the same old crappy McDonald's food. In fact the way they revamped the ordering lines made things even worse... there isn't room for the car ahead to pull forward so the next one can order. Bottom line... McD's spent a bunch of money to make a pretty new building, instead of training employees how to hand out the correct food and remember the napkins. Epic fail. Go somewhere else. read more

This is the SLOWEST McDonalds I've ever had the misfortune of visiting. I've been pinned in the drive-thru, with absolutely no movement, for about ten minutes and the line going all the way out to the street. Terrible dining room ambiance. There were two big TVs blasting FOXNews Sean Hannity and they were turned up so loud you could not ignore them. It was awful. That television show repulses me. When I tried to turn it off or down the worker yelled at me and turned it back on, even though I explained that the show was really bothering me. That is really poor customer service! Second time this week that the drive thru service was absolute crap from this McDonald's. First time wasn't really drive-thru, more of the person making to food who straight up yelled "Are you serious!" When hearing we canceled 1 thing off our order of 5 food items and 2 drinks. Just 1 little snack wrap. Yes, I'm sure it was frustrating. I've worked at MD's before, it's not that big of a deal. The window was open. I'm told that person got sent home and may be fired bc it's not their first offense acting like this. Today, it was the drive-thru service. Whoever took our order was just plain rude. Hadn't even finished speaking when she rudely said "You need what?" in an unnecessarily rude tone. Didn't you guys recently change management? Act like it, because you still suck. Food comes out sloppily made. Customer service skills are severely lacking. And the iced latte was LOADED with ice. I've worked at MD's, I know how much ice goes on the specialty drinks, it should not be that hard to stick the straw in. The last Caramel Machiatto I had here was just gross. I normally enjoy McDonald's. My favorite is the sweet tea. Although this particular store on the west side of Bloomington has terrible sweet tea. Out of 10 times going to McDonald's eight of those times the sweet tea tasted like it is three days old. There are other McDonald's that serve it correctly. read more

After several years of eating at this establishment and getting the wrong food I ordered, I decided today was the last day. During my lunch, I went through the drive through and ordered a 1/4 pounder with cheese without pickles. After getting back to work, not only was it without pickles, I was missing the bottom bun and it was all stuck in the box. Drove back to get it replaced. The lady that helped me at the counter was professional and replaced the sandwich quickly, however the personnel making the sandwich kept laughing about the fact that they had missed putting the bottom bun on. I don't find much humor in spending 45 minutes of my 30 minute lunch to get what I ordered. Additionally, as a way to make up for their mistake, I was given two coupons for a free pie (which happened to expire on August 31st, 2012).
