Great coffee shop with delish drinks and pastries. Drinks are made fresh, made to order. Staff is super nice. Love the menu options, there is something for everyone!

This is a cute little coffee shop that is located in a small plaza area right by an apartment complex. There is a fair amount of parking available and they have a couple of short term spots in the front of the shop to park, grab and go. They not only serve kombucha, espresso, and hot and iced coffee drinks, but they have baked goods including quiches, muffins, pies, scones, bars, paninis, coffee cakes and fruit crumbles. They also have t-shirts and other merch that you can purchase. The women working the shop were friendly enough. I will admit that my interaction with them was limited. You will find some tables on the plaza area outside of the shop that you can sit and enjoy your drink and/or baked good. The shop has a large dining area and offers free wifi to its patrons. The shop was clean and had music playing in the background. I got a Honey Bear iced coffee with a blueberry crumble. They were both ok. I was not wow'ed and had better. I did not like the the crumble part of my blueberry crumble. What i did not like about this shop as compared to other shops is that it did not have a lounge/couch area. And I know it is not the fault of the shop and is out of their control, but some of the patrons were very loud and made it difficult to concentrate at times. All things considered, this is a good shop to get your coffee fix, along with some baked goods. It would not put it in the category of being the best coffee shops, but it is still pretty good and served as a place for me to do some work while sipping on a signature iced drink.

We selected Crumble while on vacation because they offered a gluten free option. Great location. Line moved fast. Sat at a cute little table for two next to the window. I got a vanilla latte and apple crumble and my friend got a Mexican mocha and the gf blueberry loaf. Delish!

I ordered a pie for the Thanksgiving day holiday. I wanted to purchase a pie that didn't come from a big box store. So we have a cranberry apple pie for Thanksgiving. I was also curious to see the layout of the restaurant. The parking was great with a lot nearby. You don't have to worry about curbs and entrance if you are in a power chair or scooter. The door was handicapped accessible. The wait staff is engaging and able to check on orders and tell you about their food drink offerings. This experience is so much better than a Starbucks! I would come back and eat there again.

I can't speak for anything other than the coffee because I ran in and ran out, just picking up a caffeine fix, but this coffee was SO GOOD. There's nothing I hate more than ordering a specialty coffee from a coffeehouse and it being BAD. IMO - if it's a drink special to your shop, it should be the best. The aloha was just that! Not too sweet, strong coffee flavor, but perfect mix of syrups. The service was quick and the staff was friendly, and I'll definitely be back! I'd like to sit for a bit and do some work because it seemed like a cozy place. Definitely recommend!

I really enjoy coming to crumble whenever I have homework to do. The coffee is really delicious and not too expensive compared to other coffee shops. I will say that the wifi is a little spotty at times but it's not a huge deal! It is a smaller location so it can get busy at times, but overall it's really chill and a great place to do any work or just hang around and chat. Today I ordered the sweetheart mocha 1/2 caf with almond milk. The sweetheart mocha is a mix of white and milk chocolate with a pump of raspberry. I really liked that the chocolate isn't too overpowering and you can definitely taste that raspberry which I love. I've had some of the other lattes and specialty drinks here which are also very delicious. Next time I come, I'll have to try some of their baked goods as they always look incredible. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Crumble keeps it chill with low music and comfortable lighting. The drinks are typically very good and well prepared. This visit I ordered a custom chai latte and was not disappointed. However, they do make them a bit spicy here, so be prepared! Employees are straight to the point and make sure they ask any necessary questions before making your order. Seating is rhetorical only downfall. There are many tall bar stool seating areas, which I do not prefer. But the standard lower seating is pleasant. Multiple outlets also are a plus in this coffee shop.

Such a cute cafe and bakery! We stopped here after a day of walking around IU for some afternoon sweets. We both got a specialty latte as we were told Crumble is known for their changing menu and sweets (we had a slice of the blackberry cake and a piece or raspberry crumble bar).

If I lived in the area, I would definitely be frequenting this coffee shop. My Mexican Mocha was delicious and so was the blueberry peach tart I got. I also really loved the atmosphere of the place: lots of natural light and plants. There was plenty of space to meet with friends or sit at a table and work alone.

if you love sweet creamy lattes & warm pastries while working on your laptop or chatting with friends, crumble is the place for you!! this is my go to cafe in bloomington! i love getting their lattes, iced chai, and iced london fog. they have a variety of milk substitutes, and each one retains its sweetness & creaminess! the wifi password is free and inconspicuous, and there's plenty of seating - from small to long tables! the hours are perfect for breakfast or an after class study session. my only complaint is that i wish they were open on sundays!!

This Crumble has a much different feel to it than the one downtown. This one is located in a neighborhood that has its own collection of buildings for shopping. Very nice! There is parking to the north of the shops, so you don't have to worry about finding a spot or having the right change. Just park and take a short stroll to the shop. Inside, the shop has a few bar/counter style seats and some small tables as you enter. The order counter is to the right with a narrow hall that runs to the south end of the shop where more table seating is available for those who wish to dine in. The man behind the counter was friendly and said to let him know when I was ready to order since I wanted to check out the pastries before ordering. They had plenty of sweet pastries, but also, some savory items if I was interested in turning it into lunch. I went with a blueberry crumble and a small black coffee to go. The crumble was loaded with whole blueberries. Very moist and tasty with just enough crumble to balance out the fruit flavor. The coffee was right on the edge of being too hot, but I managed to avoid burning my tongue. The flavor was pretty good. Seems like a nice alternative location to enjoy a coffee and pastry. I'll have to swing by in warmer months to check out the patio and savory items. Review #3655

    Pear Pecan Coffee Cake
    Tiffany S.

I see Crumble every time I go to C3, so I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. It was crowded but not like Hopscotch where you can't find a seat anywhere for like 30 minutes - 1 hour+. I ordered a simple latte and Pear Pecan Coffee Cake. The latte was eh. I've had better lattes - even at Ink.Well. I was hoping for more bold, forward bean but it kind of just tasted muted - not sure why, I'm no coffee connoisseur but I just know I've had better. The Pear Pecan Coffee cake was divine though. Perfect coffee cake texture. Also, pear & pecan isn't a combination I've tried before, and I really enjoyed it. 25/365

In town from VA and hit this place multiple times over the past few days. Service and venue were stellar. All the workers and variable seating arrangements made each trip unique and perfect. Tried everything from straight espressos to flavored lattes with several pastries, and all proved excellent.

On this particular outing a friend was eager to take my husband and I to his favorite coffee shop in his hometown of Bloomington, ID. Hopscotch Coffee & Kitchen sits right in along the Bloomington Rail Trail. The setting of the cafe is calm, inviting, and simple. A large porch welcomes you to the shop; it's obviously a local favorite. When you enter the shop the coffee bar is to the right, comfortable couch seating along with work tables and cafe tables are to the left. If you want something more than a coffee and a treat there is a restaurant towards the back on your left. The cortado was delicious and the company was priceless. I hope you're able to share a cortado with someone soon. It's a good way to turn something ordinary into something special. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

Definitely the college vibe of the decade, no one talks and has their faces on a Saturday planted in the computer. If not being socially inclined just sit in the dorm/apartment. The cashier was swamped, asked about her having help, which I was told she was cleaning (4p), but she finally slithered over to help get orders rolling.

Which, totally get you need a hard end time, but I will say, the shop was still packed full with people and every table was still filled. I don't know. Maybe I'm just annoyed I put in the effort with a broken leg to support a local place and they didn't update their hours. Maybe I'm overreacting. So I probably would check out the "campus" ones a little closer to town next time or call this one before to see what they decide to make their hours for the day.

I think they normally serve soup Mon-Sat but they were out when I got there. I got a bagel with schmear, a zebra (chocolate crinkle) cookie, and one of the February specials called "Opposites Attract" which was a raspberry chai latte. Everything I got was pretty good, especially the fresh, chewy zebra cookie. They warmed it up which made it just a little gooey. The raspberry chai was an interesting combination. i wasn't completely sold on the raspberry - I didn't dislike it but probably wouldn't get it again - but I think I liked the chai itself. The baristas are always friendly. The place is spacious with a good amount of seating, but it can sometimes be hard to find a good seat inside because, as you would expect, students come to study/work and stay for a long time. I love their baked goods - they have interesting and unique offerings and everything tastes wholesome. Besides their Soma-made bakes (muffins, loaves, scones, dessert bars, cookies, and more), the bagels (I think from Gables) and Piccolo Dolci pastries are great, but they have these two muffins that are from a different supplier that I didn't think were of very good quality - I recommend avoiding the chocolate cheesecake muffin and banana nut muffin. I think the veggie/cheese sandwich is decent. It's just deli cheese slices with lettuce, cucumber, pesto, and mayo, but the bread is good and if you want something simple it's surprisingly satisfying. The coffee is pretty good. I am a decaf drinker so I appreciate that they have both decaf coffee and decaf espresso. They have a really good loose leaf tea selection and the teas are legit. Between the variety and quality it's the best tea selection I've found at a coffee shop in Bloomington. The quality of the chai and matcha are less impressive. I feel like there's a slight artificial flavour to the matcha, but to be fair, I've only tried it with flavour added, so maybe it's better unsweetened. When I asked for half sweet, that was better than regular sweetness. Both are still better than Starbucks. But I'd definitely recommend the loose leaf tea lattes over the chai/matcha. As mentioned in my previous review, some things are self-serve. It turns out they do have glasses and mugs available if you ask, but if you don't ask for dine-in, the default is disposable cups. Brewed coffee is self-serve, with your choice of (usually) two regular roasts and one decaf. If you want a toasted bagel, you have to slice and toast it yourself in the toaster on the condiment table. It seems like you sort of have to know what to order here, but as I'm learning what's good, I really appreciate the offerings that are good, the comfortable unpretentious environment, and long hours at Soma.
