I got a tomato red pepper danish, a piece of blueberry almond cake, and a summer garden tea (seasonal green tea with fruit syrup) The danish was actually my second choice after I found out they were out of the galette I wanted, but I actually liked the danish a lot and was glad it was what I ended up with. The pastry was great, with nice layers but not overly flaky for my taste like a lot of danishes; it had a nice tenderness to it. The filling was delicious, like a cheesy roasted red pepper dip baked into a danish. The cake was also great, not too sweet and very aesthetically pleasing too. The tea was really nice, with the fruit flavors balanced with the green tea. The shop is very cute and felt welcoming. There's a lot of outdoor seating. They have some local art prints for sale and there's even a printer for customer use. The baristas were friendly. read more

I ordered one Cookie it took about 15 minutes to receive it. It was a line though. The employees are not very friendly not much of a smile or a genuine thank you for your business. I ordered the cookie with the apples and crumbles on it. I assume the apple strudel cookie. It's very good. I also ordered milk. The lady didn't told me that they didn't have milk, but then a display showed that they did have milk so she had to go look for it and finally found it. Drinks are very creative, and while a bit pricey all taste amazing. The various bites to eat are all good as well, and I'm told there is always a gluten free option (I happened to be with a gluten free person on my most recent visit, otherwise I'd never know this important tidbit). This is a cute little coffee shop that is located in a small plaza area right by an apartment complex. There is a fair amount of parking available and they have a couple of short term spots in the front of the shop to park, grab and go. They not only serve kombucha, espresso, and hot and iced coffee drinks, but they have baked goods including quiches, muffins, pies, scones, bars, paninis, coffee cakes and fruit crumbles. They also have t-shirts and other merch that you can purchase. The women working the shop were friendly enough. I will admit that my interaction with them was limited. You will find some tables on the plaza area outside of the shop that you can sit and enjoy your drink and/or baked good. The shop has a large dining area and offers free wifi to its patrons. The shop was clean and had music playing in the background. I got a Honey Bear iced coffee with a blueberry crumble. They were both ok. I was not wow'ed and had better. I did not like the the crumble part of my blueberry crumble. What i did not like about this shop as compared to other shops is that it did not have a lounge/couch area. And I know it is not the fault of the shop and is out of their control, but some of the patrons were very loud and made it difficult to concentrate at times. All things considered, this is a good shop to get your coffee fix, along with some baked goods. It would not put it in the category of being the best coffee shops, but it is still pretty good and served as a place for me to do some work while sipping on a signature iced drink. read more

I ordered a pie for the Thanksgiving day holiday. I wanted to purchase a pie that didn't come from a big box store. So we have a cranberry apple pie for Thanksgiving. I was also curious to see the layout of the restaurant. The parking was great with a lot nearby. You don't have to worry about curbs and entrance if you are in a power chair or scooter. The door was handicapped accessible. The wait staff is engaging and able to check on orders and tell you about their food drink offerings. This experience is so much better than a Starbucks! I can't speak for anything other than the coffee because I ran in and ran out, just picking up a caffeine fix, but this coffee was SO GOOD. There's nothing I hate more than ordering a specialty coffee from a coffeehouse and it being BAD. IMO - if it's a drink special to your shop, it should be the best. The aloha was just that! I really enjoy coming to crumble whenever I have homework to do. The coffee is really delicious and not too expensive compared to other coffee shops. I will say that the wifi is a little spotty at times but it's not a huge deal! It is a smaller location so it can get busy at times, but overall it's really chill and a great place to do any work or just hang around and chat. Today I ordered the sweetheart mocha 1/2 caf with almond milk. The sweetheart mocha is a mix of white and milk chocolate with a pump of raspberry. I really liked that the chocolate isn't too overpowering and you can definitely taste that raspberry which I love. I've had some of the other lattes and specialty drinks here which are also very delicious. Next time I come, I'll have to try some of their baked goods as they always look incredible. This Crumble has a much different feel to it than the one downtown. This one is located in a neighborhood that has its own collection of buildings for shopping. Very nice! There is parking to the north of the shops, so you don't have to worry about finding a spot or having the right change. Just park and take a short stroll to the shop. Inside, the shop has a few bar/counter style seats and some small tables as you enter. The order counter is to the right with a narrow hall that runs to the south end of the shop where more table seating is available for those who wish to dine in. The man behind the counter was friendly and said to let him know when I was ready to order since I wanted to check out the pastries before ordering. They had plenty of sweet pastries, but also, some savory items if I was interested in turning it into lunch. I went with a blueberry crumble and a small black coffee to go. The crumble was loaded with whole blueberries. Very moist and tasty with just enough crumble to balance out the fruit flavor. The coffee was right on the edge of being too hot, but I managed to avoid burning my tongue. The flavor was pretty good. Seems like a nice alternative location to enjoy a coffee and pastry. I see Crumble every time I go to C3, so I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. It was crowded but not like Hopscotch where you can't find a seat anywhere for like 30 minutes - 1 hour+. I ordered a simple latte and Pear Pecan Coffee Cake. The latte was eh. I've had better lattes - even at Ink.Well. I was hoping for more bold, forward bean but it kind of just tasted muted - not sure why, I'm no coffee connoisseur but I just know I've had better. The Pear Pecan Coffee cake was divine though. We got the jalapeño mozzarella galette, bacon cheddar croissant, and the rosemary garlic Parmesan croissant! The rosemary garlic parm changed my life. It was out of this world delicious. We went at the perfect time because a fresh batch popped right out of the oven as we were ordering! It was so flakey and the flavor profile was top notch. Crumble is a great location in Renwick that seems to attract a mix of locals and college students. There are plenty of tables for student or meeting space and the decor is simple but inviting. The staff and baristas seem to all be experienced and truly care about coffee as an art. The Honey Bear at Crumble is my new favorite latte right now! One of my favorite coffee shops in Bloomington! This little gem is hidden inside of Renwick. I wouldn't have even known it was there if a friend hadn't told me about it. The interior of the shop is very inviting and comfortable. There's a lot of natural light and it is often crowded with people doing work on laptops. There is a lot of parking on the side of the building and there are also a few 15-minute parking spots right in front of the shop for when you just need to run in and get your coffee and then leave. The staff in general are very friendly and eager to talk to you about any questions you have. All of their lattes, coffees and teas that I've tried have been good. Their green tea latte is not made with matcha which I didn't realize. Their cookies and baked goods are very good! Their quiches are a hit-or-miss for me, but they don't use lard in their crust so that is great. They use Oberweis milk which is awesome! Overall, I love this local business! read more

I had a little trouble finding this gem since you turn into what only appears to be an apartment complex before realizing you found it; nonetheless, free parking and outside seating were enough to please me. It seems everywhere else in Bloomington is only pick up now and/or has street parking you have to pay for. The coffee, albeit a tad sweet, was good and the cinnamon croissant was very subtle in flavor and was very soft. I will certainly return and treat myself to another one. I love this spot for homework or coffee dates! The espresso is absolutely excellent and the baristas are so friendly. Aside from a large variety of espresso drinks and some tea, they also have baked good such as croissants and loaf breads (and gluten free!). I had: Parisian Latte, Breve with Sugar Free Vanilla, Hazelnut and Irish Creme syrup, and Rose Gold Iced Tea I was feeling rather miserable today and was unable to be outside, and saw this coffee shop on Grubhub. I am so very glad I did! Below are my reviews on the following drinks. Breve: Creamy coffee wonder, with a full bodied coffee and half and half instead of regular milk like a latte. If you are wanting a more decadent coffee treat, this is one to get! The syrups were blended wonderfully as well, with no syrup overpowering the other, and a distinct flavor for each. I selected these additional syrups myself, and are not part of the original drink. Parisian Latte: This is the first I have ever heard of one, and it's description of spices certainly made it a try! I tasted more of the vanilla and nutmeg than the cloves, giving it a darker profile than expected, but very nice all the same. Rose Gold Iced Tea: I ordered this at a whim, as I tend to love floral flavored items such as rose, violet and lavender. The rose syrup was bright and refreshing with the hint of lemon provided by the lemon slice. I think it is the perfect sip for summer. Overall, I loved each and every one of these items, for different reasons. I can't wait to try every single one of their drinks! Unfortunately, their bakery items were not available for delivery, so I will have to go in person to sample those.
