They had a table at Food Truck Friday with two types of cookie plus dog biscuits for sale. I grabbed a lemon cookie with cheesecake pieces. It was crazy good and totally exceeded my expectations. The cookie was thick and soft, almost cakelike, and not at all too sweet. The cheesecake pieces were kind of melted into the cookie which created an amazing texture. read more

Yes, the prices are high, but where can you get custom baked cookies in 10 minutes or less? And the "orphan" already baked cookies are usually a wide selection if you're in a rush. I also love that they sell milk to go with your cookies! read more

We were in the area for the day and tried this place out. Chose the 1/2 dozen pick 2 cookies with a friend. I really liked mine, sugar cookies with cinnamon sugar and white chocolate mix in with cream cheese frosting. Baked fresh to order in about 10-15 min wait. Fun place to try. read more

Baked is the best cookie spot in bloomington! You go in and you get to build your own cookies which they bake for you as soon as you order! They have really good combo deals where you can get milk and cookies for pretty cheap! I always get the sugar cookie base with heath, toffee chips, pretzels and caramel drizzle! It always hits the spot everytime! The employees are always so helpful and very patient while you choose what to order! I walked from my hotel to Baked tonight. Location is great and easily walkable from many restaurants. Staff members were warm and friendly. Cookies were great. Crisp on the outside, soft and gooey on the inside. The dough is not overly sweet, which is important if you add a bunch of sweet mix ins or toppings. I would definitely recommend Baked! Delicious customizable cookies. Each batch you customize comes with a minimum of three cookies, so if you order 6 cookies, you can choose up to 2 different flavors. In the need of a sweet treat?! Look no further than Baked! I'm not sure what they put in these cookies but they are hands down the best cookies you will find in Bloomington. Love that they are open late, deliver or you can stop by and pick from the amazing selection of cookies. I do miss the house they used to be in but their newer storefront is just as welcoming. The staff is super friendly, happy, and knowledgeable. I love the weekly specials - one of my favorites is the Snickerdoodle. They do fun holiday cookies I.e. Butterbeer and Mint Chocolate Oreo. I also took the chance to swing by Baked! of Bloomington ! I was there 4 years ago and had an "unbaked cone". This time I ordered a dozen chocolate chip cookies and they made them while I waited. And the wait was worth it ! The staff is super friendly and there are tons of options to choose from when ordering. Next time I'll have to try something creative. The chocolate chip cookies were good ! They don't have your typical overly sweet cookie. They have their own unique flavor and are soft enough if you enjoy a cookie that isn't too hard. read more

we were visiting from out of town and were really looking forward to trying their cookies. placed our custom order in at 10pm for 3 cookies and by 10:55 had still not received them. during that time watched 4 groups come in after us and leave with their order before us. asked an employee about our order and she stated "we were slammed" and they messed up our order. she gave us cookies but they were not the ones we ordered. we left and will never return!!! read more

This place is so wonderful. I used to order cookies from here during late nights studying in college. Now it's in a new location (very different vibe from the house-type building before) but the variety and quality of cookies is still the best. Lots of options to choose from, you can order online, get it delivered for relatively cheap, and it's open very late. The personalization options are definitely the best if any cookie shop. One of my personal favorite combos is snickerdoodle cheesecake. Highly recommend! read more

So...not bad? Honestly I didn't really like the atmosphere of the store at first because it was a tad dark and upon opening the door there was an interesting smell? Anyways, the cookies itself were pretty good, they came in a mini pizza box and had crispy edges but a soft interior but it wasn't like the falling apart kind of soft, and it was HOT!!!! So that was good. And they have really good deals and a ton of toppings and varieties. Yeah so in conclusion the cookie was better than I thought it would be. read more

Went to baked on a Friday night with some friends as I was craving something sweet. Walked into baked which is small but a cozy place to chill anD eAt some cookies. We ended up gettting 6 cookies of different flavors ranging from sprinkles to peanut butter and red velvet. I tried the red velvet cookie which was oKay. It wasn't as soft as I'd want it but the others liked the other cookies. I was only reallly disappointed that they didn't warm up the cookies as thAt would've made a huge difference! read more

I came across a lovely cookie place while in Bloomington! I was very surprised and somewhat overwhelmed by the amount of options that could be made with cookies. They have a base flavor of five options and you can add toppings in the cookies and toppings. I got a sugar based cookie with chocolate chips and cream cheese frosting for one set and a peanut butter base Reese pieces and Reese cup for the other. I really enjoyed the peanut butter base as they are a classic cookie to eat hot right out of the oven. read more

Baked is a cookie monster's dream come true. Life doesn't get any better than customizing a fresh batch of cookies. My boyfriend and I stopped by to get Baked on my birthday (ha.) because cookies are better than cake. I ordered a hodge podge of custom cookies (they have all the options you could ever dream of) and also picked a few from the "leftovers" - all were amazing. A few of them were slightly underbaked - just like how my boyfriend likes 'em. I haven't taken advantage of their delivery service, but I definitely will in the near future. read more

Baked! is THE cookie shop of Bloomington - coming from a self proclaimed cookie expert. I have tried just about every cookie place in Bloomington and nothing ever beats Baked. I was a loyal Insomnia Cookies fan before coming to IU but Baked rose to the top pretty fast. I love that I can order them freshly baked, any way I want. The possibilities are endless and they actually don't take too long at all considering you're getting fresh out of the oven cookies. There's something about the taste in the dough or maybe it's left over from the oven but they have a unique flavor that can't be replicated. A lesser used benefit of Baked is their orphan cookies. If you want to try their cookies but don't want to wait for freshly baked ones (or you're indecisive like me) then the orphans are the way to go. I love that I can try all of the different combinations that other people have ordered and loved while also getting some inspiration for my next fresh order. Definitely give this place a visit, it's an IU landmark at this point - I don't think there's a single student who doesn't know what Baked is. They have vegan and gluten free options AND the physical building itself is super artsy and fun to check out. read more

What a cool concept! Make your own cookies with unlimited toppings--although I wouldn't recommend more than 3-4 topping without them competing in flavor. Vegan and gluten free choices are available along with cookie cake and ice cream sandwich options. This is such a fun place--definitely check it out! read more

Baked! NEVER disappoints! I usually only come to Bloom once a year for homecoming and I make it a point to stop by Baked! every time for the best cookies EVER!!! I ordered the Munchies special which included 6 cookies (up to two flavors) and 2 pints of milk. I ordered 3 oatmeal chocolate chip and 3 chocolate chip. I was so happy to learn that they've added almond milk to the menu! Talk about a win/win! I'm so happy I had the chance to get my yearly Baked! fix! Can't wait to come back next year read more

I stopped in Baked without calling in an order and was pleasantly surprised at the wide variety of "orphan" cookies that were in the display case that I could choose from. The guy behind the counter was helpful in identifying the ones I pointed at. Before long, I had a box of a half dozen tasty cookies and was on my way. I picked out the oatmeal M&M's and the chocolate macadamia which were my preferred combo. The oatmeal cookies had a slightly spiced taste that I wasn't expecting in my cookie, so that took away from my enjoyment of those. But the chocolate macadamia were perfect! Nice bite to the texture and the macadamia nuts tasted fresh and had a crisp crunch to them. Anyway, it is a little out of the way. It's walkable from downtown but not really in the downtown core. Pretty quiet when I was there, but the atmosphere felt approachable. Some of the chairs were like school desk chairs (adult-sized, of course) that I haven't seen since I was in primary school which was kind of funny. The guy at the counter was cheerful and friendly. They looked like they had run out of some of the hot savory items by Saturday mid-afternoon, but there was still a wide variety of sweets. I believe the current owners are Indian, and you see some of those flavours featured. I got: Samosa handpie: Good, not mind-blowing, but good. Nice flavours. If you like a flaky crust, this is not it, but I liked the rustic pastry crust. Pistachio cardamom donut: Loved it. Before I moved to Bloomington, there were a few bakeries that offered vegan-GF cake donuts that I loved, and this was the first thing I've gotten here that reminded me of that. Pleasant texture and strong cardamom flavour, not too sweet. I think these are baked donuts, so they're a little different from regular fried donuts, but in a good way IMO. Rose dream latte: Milk with rose syrup topped with coconut whip and nuts, no espresso. Tasted great, but more of a dessert drink than I was expecting. The coconut whip was quite thick. The concept could probably use some refinement, because the whip was too thick and rigid to drink without a straw, but the nut pieces were too big to go through a straw, and so I couldn't figure out the best way to drink it. From what I understand, there are some longtime fans of this place who feel like the quality has dropped since the most recent change in ownership, but as someone who had never been here before, I really had a good experience. I get why people would be upset when something changes, but if you are considering trying this place for the first time, I wouldn't be too put off by the negativity around the change in ownership. There's no other place specialized in vegan baking in Bloomington, so I think it's good to support what they are continuing to do here, and even though I am partial to vegan food I wouldn't say that if it wasn't also GOOD. The Venezuelan cheese however was not my favorite cheese ever.. so I might ask for it on the side so that it doesn't ruin your whole arepa/sandwich just in case you feel the same. Super friendly service from the owner herself. So good we doubled our order to take more home and another coffee to-go. Make sure to order the fresh avocado sauce and the garlic sauces to dips. The fruit punch and aguapanella were refreshing on the hot day were were eating here. Lastly, this is very easy to access as it is on a main streets, a bike path, on the bus line, and a bus stop right in front. No excuses not to enjoy what we just did.

The waiter was clueless, coffee was cold and place was justifiably barren . The display case used to have all sorts of amazing pastries , but now it's random shrink wrapped garbage . Really the worst experience every and were charged $50 (two of us) for cold coffee, cold toast , stale potatoes and Waffle House eggs . At least Waffle House coffee is hot .

The cookies and muffins and cinnamon roll just seem to melt in your mouth (I'm sure lots of butter is involved). They even have a very good vegan coffee cake! The drinks are not great and consistency is not the name of the game. Maybe the coffee is better than the tea, but the chai tastes more of sugar and cinnamon than tea, and the matcha was very murky, but maybe that's because I got the strawberry matcha and that affected the colour. It didn't taste bad but just didn't taste like quality matcha. They have decent teabags, but the brand and selection varies and is not what's listed on the menu board. They can do a tea latte but don't always have teas that work well with milk. I like the iced tea they make during the summer better than the hot tea. They sometimes have bubble tea, which is made with a machine and is decent (as far as artificially flavoured tea goes) but very sweet. It's a complete gamble as to whether or not the bubble tea machine will actually be on at any given time. I tried to get it in the evening once but was told they usually power it down around 6, so came back around 4:30 next time, but it was off again. I finally did manage to get bubble tea a few times around lunch time and in the morning, but there have also been days where they don't turn it on at all despite displaying the posters for it. Tapioca pearls are on the menu but they seemingly never have them, only the popping pearls. The baristas are students and are sometimes friendly, sometimes not. I would guess there's a combination of high turnover and poor training because some of them just seem very confused. They usually do okay at keeping the line moving though. I come for the baked goods, and just get a drink while I'm at it because I don't want to wait in another line at Starbucks even though I actually think Starbucks makes slightly better drinks.

I haven't had a bad cup yet, and I've had plenty. Bring money, but it's worth it. Competence should be rewarded.
