    Bagel with veggies

The perfect little bagel shop!!! I was shocked when this place wasn't packed. I would've thought everyone on campus would have been in line here on a Sunday morning. They had sooo many bagel options and even more cream cheese options! The bagels were super soft and the veggies I got on top were very fresh. I wish I lived in Bloomington so I could eat breakfast here every weekend!!!

I got their Lotsa Lox, which comes with smoked salmon, tomato, purple onion, capers, and a pickle on the side. You can choose your bagel and schmear from a variety of options. I got their asiago bagel with plain cream cheese. Truly delicious and filling meal. Service was quick, and there are a couple of tables inside to sit down and eat.

Bagel did the trick. It was too thick for me but I get that is a personal preference. Also a little pricey but in a cool location by the college campus.

Stopped into Bloomington Bagel Co. on my way to work when I first moved here and it was such a good call! I grabbed the lox bagel pictured and it was so good. Fresh tasty and loaded with all the good stuff. The bagel itself had the perfect chew and the toppings were super fresh. I also got an iced coffee and it was absolutely on point. Perfect way to start the day. The vibe inside was cute and welcoming and everyone was so nice.

Pretty great food! I really enjoyed my coffee and pepper jack cheese and sausage on a jalapeño cheddar bagel. Very kind servers as well.

Really good bagels! If you get a cream cheese shmear you will end up with A LOT of cream cheese, so make sure you pick a flavor you like. There are tons of different flavor bagels and shmears. They also have breakfast sandwiches and smoothies. The seating is great when it's nice out and they open the garage doors! I got an Asiago bagel with garlic and herb shmear (cream cheese was VERY strong garlic). We also got a breakfast Wake and Bake sandwich, but it was a limited time menu item.

I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a blueberry muffin, toasted. No bacon. Hard as shiet. The few bites were not it sis. Did not pass the vibe check.

I was very (VERY) hungry the other day and ordered two bagels here. I got a breakfast sandwich on a jalapeño bagel and a lox on a plain bagel. Between the two, the breakfast sandwich definitely takes the cake. With the breakfast sandwich, they were very generous with the filling (lots of ham, a sausage patty, egg, cheese some kind of salami I think?). As for the lox I appreciated the generous amount of salmon but could have done without the big slice of tomato. The tomato kind of just made the bagel soggy and didn't really add much to the flavor, if you get the lox I recommend asking for no tomato (coming from somebody who likes tomatoes)! I'm giving 3 stars because the bagels themselves. They were a bit too dense and dry. I like my bagels just a tad bit softer and airy. They were also a bit small for the price.

Such good bagels! We stopped in Bloomington on our way to a soccer game in Southern Indiana for a quick breakfast and picked up some amazing bagel sandwiches to go! A few of us had the sausage, egg and cheese (cheddar cheese plus spinach and tomato) and they were excellent. The sausage had a nice kick! My son got the Lotsa Lox and loved the combo. Great stop for a quick and filling breakfast.

I came in for lunch with a friend today, we were hoping to get some sandwiches, it was our first time in the shop. We asked a few questions and were made feel stupid for doing so. I understand this is a bagel shop, but they also sell sandwiches, so asking if they have mayo should be a standard question. Perhaps they're used to dealing with rude students, but, even then customer service should be at the forefront. Molly had an attitude from the beginning! She was rude and condescending. We will not be back to the shop! If you have a hankering for a bagel, or a bagel sandwich, Gables bagels is right up the road, and they are far superior!

On this particular outing a friend was eager to take my husband and I to his favorite coffee shop in his hometown of Bloomington, ID. Hopscotch Coffee & Kitchen sits right in along the Bloomington Rail Trail. The setting of the cafe is calm, inviting, and simple. A large porch welcomes you to the shop; it's obviously a local favorite. The Village Deli is known for it's amazing breakfast options, including the famous 'pancake the…read moresize of a hubcap' that is somehow perfectly cooked even though it's huge. But rarely is it thought of as a lunch place, and it should be. I, for the first time ever, ordered a lunch item and was seriously impressed. Kids decided to grace us with their presence for lunch (both are in college) and while I'd like to think it was because they missed us, it's more likely they wanted free food. Whatever, it was good to see them and one wanted breakfast food and the other lunch, so the village deli was the choice. My wife ordered the BLT with hot chips, which she said is her go-to every time. She used to work down the street, so she's a regular. I am not a BLT fan, so didn't try it - even for Yelp I'm not touching a fully dressed BLT - but she loved it as usual. I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich. I usually get breakfast but I had a big breakfast earlier and was craving a sandwich. Glad I made the choice. It was amazing. Huge portion of chicken, plenty of ham and Swiss. If you've read my reviews, you know I had them keep the mustard away from it, so can't speak to that. The hot chips were great. They make their own potato chips, they are served hot/warm, and they might need a bit more salt, but better than french fries. Kid 1 (the one who wanted lunch) ordered breakfast. Ugh. Paxton's Potatoes and the breakfast croissant. Paxton's are basically hash brown/home fries with cheese, gravy and chives. You can add an egg (I suggest it) and the croissant is what you think it is - croissant and egg sandwich, with or without protein addition. Both are great. Kid2 had his usual power breakfast which is a drink plus two eggs, home fries, and one (plenty for two people) pancake. He gets his plain, I suggest banana and walnut additions. He's allergic to nuts so probably a bad idea, lest we need the epi pen. He's a growing boy and still gave me half the pancake if that gives you any idea of the size. Great service as usual. It was a week day, so not too crowded for lunch. Their motto is 'Eat and Get Out' but during lunch it's probably not an issue. On the weekends, the place is slammed full all day - expect a wait and them to rush you a bit. On Sunday it's best to beat the church crowd. TLDR: Eat here if you've visiting your kid at college, looking for a good lunch or great breakfast, and never ever order two pancakes.

I visited twice for a breakfast and a lunch. Lunch: I had a Black Russian sandwich and a pot of Emperor's Pride tea. The sandwich, which is a vegetarian version of a Reuben with roasted veggies instead of meat, was delicious. They really piled on the veggies. Some fell out of the sandwich, but I just ate them with the home fries. The home fries also were nicely seasoned. The tea was a little off. It's possible it was the tea itself that didn't taste how I expected, but it kind of tasted like I was getting the flavour of a different tea in the pot. Breakfast: Apple pancake and bouquet latte (seasonal special - lavender Ceylon tea latte with honey and rose syrup). The bouquet latte was wonderful and had this beautiful red swirl latte art. The pancake was nice and fluffy. One pancake is something like $5, but one is enough for a complete meal, maybe with a protein side if you're especially hungry.
