Thanks, fellow Yelpers, for sending me to Magic Morning Bakery. The 5 star rating for this little bakery is well deserved. There were many patrons going in and out with bags of donuts when I arrived early morning. I needed a treat to take to an event and, of course, I found out last minute. The shop is pristine and simple. The cases were filled with amazing donuts, cookies and cakes. There was so much to chose from. Those cream pies were incredibly tempting. I opted for a tray of turtle brownies. The brownies were smothered in caramel and nuts. The chocolate brownies was the consistency of a rich fudge. Needless to say, the brownies disappeared fast, so fast that I didn't have a chance to get a photo. The service was quick and friendly and I was off in a flash. Prices are incredibly reasonable. I plan on trying those iconic cookies on my next visit. I highly, recommend. read more

I have been generally dissatisfied with donuts in Indiana. These are the best I've found so far, but they're not perfect. I'll give them credit for being fresh-fried and having a good dough flavor. The apple fritter was particularly good, with nice big chunks of apple. However, I found some of the donuts (especially the glazed) to be too soft, and many donuts had so much sweetness in the dough that it was overwhelming when taken together with the glaze. They definitely deserve their reputation and their regular crowd, but I don't think I'd make a special trip from Bloomington. read more

Magic Morning is more than a bakery, it is pure happiness. One of my old co-workers used to bring donuts into the kitchen from Magic Morning and they were always the best donuts I have ever had. Last week I actually got to visit the shop in person. There was so much there than I ever imagined and it all looked delicious. I settled with a delicious long john. Do not go here if you have a peanut allergy. Don't even enter the doors. Allergy warnings are posted but peanut allergies are usually respected by most bakeries, at least kept in separate cases with a cross contamination risk. Here everything is just together. Had half a dozen donuts in the box before I realized. Now I just paid $18 for something I've gotta throw away. Unfortunate. read more

Magic Morning is a hometown gem of Bedford, Indiana!!! If you want breakfast or anything sweet, there is only one place in Lawrence County that everyone goes + that is Magic Morning Bakery. Known for their Smiley Face Cookies (sugar cookies with pink icing and a white smiley face), everything they make + serve is out of this world!!! Every doughnut you can think of cookies on cookies, chocolates, pies, cakes and one and on. My favorite of them all is the apple fritter which is the picture I am attaching to the review, when I get more pictures, I will be updating this review. The donuts are good, not great. The prices are a bit high and the service could use some improvement. Not bad but definitely not 5 stars.

Just the best bakery products you can put in your mouth !! Staff is wonderful too. Cake doughnuts taste like cake..wonderful. Sausage and cheese east rolls could be your whole meal. Cinnamon rolls are perfect....and their smiley face sugar cookies are a great snack. read more

I am 39 weeks pregnant and after my husband brought home a red smiley sugar cookie, I had to hunt down the source. I was so happy to discover these smiley cookies are a specialty of Magic Morning Bakery! We called to place an order for the next day, and when we showed up to pick up the order, we were unable to resist picking up a dozen of their delectable doughnuts. Be prepared to pay a little more than some other bakeries, but you can be confident that the quality is worth it. One other note - the parking lot was full of cars at 10am on Saturday (no surprise) but the line moved extremely quickly and efficiently as there were multiple very friendly staff members available. read more

Cinnamon rolls that have to weigh at least a pound and taste like pudding. Apple fritters, doughnuts and just about every other yummy pastry you can find. Not a good place for someone trying to diet!!! This amazing gem might not look like much from the outside but has sweet savory goodness on the inside. I was recommended by a coworker and I must say this place is great. She wasn't wrong when she said the Smiley cookies are fanominal. They're so good. I had to try a Cresent donut too. Usually I'm not a Cresent donut fan but it looked so good and it was. It was soft, not too sweet. I will be back. The service is fast and friendly. If you're in search of a fluffy doughnut that melts in your mouth, magic morning is the place for you. I ordered a dozen doughnuts, but I personally ate the yeast twist and a chocolate covered yeast doughnut. Everything that I tried tasted delicious and fresh. This is probably the best place to get a doughnut in Bedford. My brother got a peach muffin and he said that it was the best he has ever had. They also have a bunch of milks and coffees to pick from, but I didn't get anything to drink while I was there. The staff was very friendly, and there were seats to sit down and eat if you want to. read more

This is one of the best donut shops in the state. I moved down here a couple years ago and tried the place out and have been returning ever since. The plain yeast donuts are the best I have ever had but they also make pies, cakes and a variety of other foods. They are locally owned and the service is always great. Hands-down the Best Donut Shop in the world. They have such a great variety and I've never had anything I didn't like. My favorites include the cookies, the glazed cake donuts, the iced maple and bacon long John, and the cream cheese cinnamon rolls. My super favorite is actually a savory cheese and sausage roll. We always stop here on our way through and always have good doughnuts. Love their sausage rolls and pecan rolls. The blonde girl who waited on us must have been new. I thought I'd be spoiling my daughter on her 6th birthday by getting a special made cake. Dropped $27 for a 1/4 sheet cake. Wife went to Wal*Mart for some minor stuff, found the exact same cake down to the last minute detail for $20, and there was more of it. At no point during our transaction did they tell me they'd be buying their cake from Wal*Mart then charging us an extra $7 for some kind of "delivery fee". Or, they buy their cakes from the same place Wal*Mart does. Either way, 1 star and will never go there again. I do not do business with liars and deceivers. read more
