The Quarter pounder in my opinion is one of the most underrated burgers when made right. This one here hit the spot. Service was fast and friendly. My only complaint is the cost of McDonald's has been going through the roof. A small fry (which is really small) is over $2. The fries could have been a little fresher here as well. Somebody didn't wash their hands after using the restroom. I saw and smelled this stuff on my hand when I was in the middle of going to war with the manager, Monica over 1 syrup on a Deluxe when I asked for two. DO NOT GO HERE! Ordered 2 filets, 1 sweet one non sweet tea from drive through. Filet was fantastic, got two sweet teas, went in to use restroom and get the right tea and without saying anything older lady barked out 'we dont give refills to drive through. Used restroom told her the story about the tea being both sweet and she said they may have read all sweet. She was very dismissive and I was tired from being on the road for so long I didnt feel like fighting her for the right one and shouldn't have to. Poor customer service. After 3pm, I decided to drop by McDonalds to get my kids a special drink of a smoothie and slushies to celebrate the Friday of a three-day weekend. We had a 50 minute drive-thru visit from 2140 W. Ramsey St., Banning McDonald's. We spent twenty minutes in line because the interior was closed to visitors and a thirty minute wait after being directed to their reserved parking. We only ordered three drinks (nothing else), but two of them were the the wrong ones. After sitting awhile in the reserved parking space, an employee came out the first time with one drink, and I sent back the other we had received because the smoothie was over halfway melted from waiting by then (I wanted my kids to have the flavored ICE drink, not a cup of liquid/syrup.) He came out with another smoothie awhile later and the last slushie a bit after that. It actually looked like he just brought back out the over-halfway-melted one I had sent in. When I mentioned that, he told me the other was inside and that was "the way slushies look." Shocking to me that a slushie (by his definition) should have less than half ice and mostly liquid in it, which I have never experienced at any other business before where slushie's were made of almost all ice. I doubted that he had made a new one and not just reoffered my old one, but I did not verbally question his honesty. They were so busy with cars waiting in line out to the street that their efforts seemed more geared to getting people served something than getting their order correct. By the way, I was not the only customer waiting in the parking lot for their drinks; another woman next to me was also told to pull aside and sit to receive her two drinks. I have only just moved to Banning, but of three visits, this is the second time in a row that this McDonald's location has gotten my order wrong (the first was with food items). That is not a good average. There seem to be some deficits in customer service and their ability to listen or confirm orders at this location. I wish I could give less than one star. This location requires some customer service retraining, and I would not recommend this location at this time. ...And after all that, my kids and I thought the drinks were not even that good so we threw them away. I drove to this store in need of just a drink and fries. My lil one appreciated the freshly fried fries with no salt. I was so pleased that the store employee asked me if I wanted the fries salted or not. I thought that was really kind of her. She said that she had a feeling, because she also had a lil one and she'd often ask if she could order unsalted fries as well. I REALLY appreciated that. The soda dispensing machine needed to be turned on. That was interesting to me. When I asked, out of curiosity, one of the employees explained to me that there are a lot of transients who would come through and try and dispense soda for themselves, without paying, of course. We were on our way back from another trip to Newport Beach. Whenever we stop on our way back to AZ it's usually late. In fact, it's always late. This time it was 10:33 on our receipt. The men's bathroom was flooded, well, maybe not enough water to swim in but you get the picture. Nobody wants to walk through standing water in a restroom. Gross. Plus one of the stalls had a lot of toilet paper all over the floor just like in the picture that was posted 2 years ago. I wonder if they ever cleaned it. We only got drinks so there's not much to report on the food side. Mine was from the soda fountain and K's and C's were made and done correctly. They asked one of the cars ahead of us to park on the side till the food arrived. They waited for probably an additional 15 mins (and so did we) before getting out and telling them we wanted a refund. It was ridiculous. Absolutely the WORST McDonalds I've been to. BY FAR! I work early most days and am typically hungry AFTER I leave home lol and McDonalds is typically my preference. Why is it that EVERY SINGLE TIME there is some issue with 1. Registers are down can't take your order. 2. Registers are resetting can't take your order for 20 minutes. 3. My favorite reason. We're only accepting cash (so we can effing pocket it). I understand that register issues happen as I work in retail as a manager, but give me a break. If someone cane to my store and every single time they had an issue, I wouldn't expect them to come back. As a manager I'd fix the issues. Clearly there is no management paying close enough to this location because it's absolutely disgraceful. Just read the damn reviews for crying out loud. It is almost impossible for any fast food place to get TEN consecutive 1-star Yelp reviews, but this location just achieved that dubious distinction. How does this manager keep his or her job? Is this a franchise or a corporate owned store? Either way it is a disgrace to the brand. Here are the lowlights of my recent visit: 1. When I walked in the door, the first thing I saw was a dog sitting ON the table in full view of the girl at the register and other workers walking around the inside. WHY did no one say a thing to the guy about his pet? What is wrong with these workers and where is the proper training. 2. Then when I went to the register to place my order, the girl told me that someone had placed an order and had walked away and she could not take my order. WHAT? If the other person is not back, just void theirs and take mine. Come on....where is the training and basic logic? 3. Ordered the double baconator meal with fries and iced coffee. Fries and ice coffee were fab as usual, but their NEW burger was just a huge grease ball with sooo much mustard on it that it was not even edible. Epic FAIL. 4. For my entire stay there was an annoying "beep beep" (perhaps a timer going off), that I was told happens all the time. If this is the case, WHY doesn't the manager call a repairman and get it fixed as NO customer or employees want to listen to that all day long. 5. No ketchup dispenser by the soda machine where it should be, and No packets of ketchup, mayo, salt, pepper on the counter for easy access. This little escapade cost me over $12 for ONE person. For less than that I can go to nearby Chili's and have their 3 for $10 special, which includes a cheeseburger, fries, drink and appetizer (soup or salad).....all far better quality than what you get at McDonald's. Or....save your money and just go next door to Baker's!! I sure hope someone contacts corporate about this location, as it is a jumbo embarrassment to the brand. read more

This McDonald's has a lot of highly critical reviews on Yelp, but our experience here was surprisingly good as we visited on a Saturday morning. We usually avoid McDonald's but we needed restrooms during our road trip and my husband needed coffee. I was especially leery because of the signs about remodeling in progress. However, the ladies' restroom was clean and smelled pleasant. The only negative was a lack of toilet seat covers. My husband had no wait in line. He ordered his food to go--a coffee, two sausage biscuits, and two hash browns--and he was stunned when it was ready immediately. He hasn't even put the change away yet. The food was fresh and the coffee was decent. I guess it's all a matter of timing. In our case, this McDonald's was a pleasant stop in a very long day of travel. read more

It is packed because with the huge number of employees they have behind the counter, they can't get anything right! It is like a bunch of ants with no direction. It took me about 15 mins. just to get 2 chicken sandwiches, 1 med. fries, and a 2 drinks! Seriously? Also, while I am standing around, the manager went to deliver the food to the customer outside who went to park because their order was going to take long. A few mins. after she came back, the customer came in and asked where his order was. She said I just delivered it. He said, you gave it to the wrong ppl because I obviously don't have my food! Can you believe that?? Seriously! She then said I can make it for you again, but it is going to take twice as long! Crazy, if you ask me. Never going to be back here. TLDR: Skip this McDonalds and go to the next one you find. Stopped by here driving from AZ to Cali. Not that I had any expectations, but the outside appearance makes it look like a much nicer McDonalds so I expected a little bit better than what was received. One person working the register, with a line of about 6-8 people. Drink machine was out of ice and multiple people asked for them to refill it. Bathroom was pretty gross. Overall cleanliness of the restaurant was maybe a 1/5. Ordered a burger with no cheese, receipt said no cheese, and the burger we got had cheese. Again, I didn't have any expectations for this location. But I've been to McDonalds that are in the middle of nowhere that are cleaner, and have better service. read more

My children and I have been staying in for over a month. We got out of the house today to pick up some dinner and for a change of scenery. When we got home we were missing a 20 piece chicken nugget. I am pregnant and this is the only item I wanted. I've been now trying for the last 30 minutes to get through on the phone to them without any luck. Years ago, when ordering sandwiches from the McDonald's menu had a chance of happening, Banning was a stop on the way to the Desert for XL fries (sometimes I'd share), maybe a Filet-o-Fish, and definitely a pit stop. The men's room has always been acceptable--now its two urinals are "waterless" (on purpose), sporting a label up top that says it saves up to 40,000 gallons of water a year (likely assuming everybody who uses a McD's urinal flushes it. I'm not so sure)--two sinks, two old-school heated-air hand dryers and a stainless-steel door that pushes open from inside, eliminating the need for an undoubtedly unsanitary handle. So I'll have to beg your pardon that I can't couple-up to the Banning McD's temper-tantrum train. The highlight of a visit a couple months ago was being asked to wait while the petite, blond counter lady lured me to one of two new order kiosks. She showed me how to begin ordering, and after minimal tutelage I got how it worked. Even for hot-coffee orders, you punch in your choice of additives and it's made for you in back. I couldn't resist asking her, with requisite furrowed brow, "Does this mean, like, you know?" She said, yeah, but the restaurant will still need staff to counsel patrons at the kiosks, and to accept cash from customers who present their kiosk-printed receipts. To maximize employee contact, I of course paid cash for my large coffee. My consultant added that I could request more cream and sugar at the counter, so I did. On a subsequent visit, the shift manager reported that school-age customers and young adults have taken a shine to the (now four) kiosks, while more adult and senior customers seem to prefer transacting with an employee. She also said that, instead of shedding staff at Banning, it now has more workers than before the contraptions were installed. Happy customers and no layoffs. If status quo prevails, I'm loving it. read more

Huh, new one for me... I'm leaving a 2-star and actually bringing the average rating up. The goal of this review not to try to harm this establishment, just a commentary on the service tonight. To be fair, we rolled through the drive-thru in the early AM, around 2. I don't expect staff to be operating at maximum efficiency, but it definitely felt like it took an abnormally long time for each car to get through the order and proceed to the window. We finally pulled up and started placing our order, and I'm not sure if it's something we said or something the two staff members were talking about, but the person on the intercom started laughing mid sentence, and continued through the "proceed to the next window" line. We picked up the order and ate it about 5 minutes later. Cold, everything. The bread on my chicken sandwich was somehow toasted to a dark brown, but was cold and hard. The chicken itself was lukewarm, indicating some effort? My friend's cheeseburger was completely cold though. We also had some fries, which were cold and soggy. I know that food is often kept under heat lamps to be served later, but you should probably make sure they're at least warm when served. Still, did it satiate my hunger? Sure. So would eating cardboard, probably. Would I come back? Sure. It's McDonald's, I just appear there out of convenience and cravings. Will this memory stick in my mind so I can feel bad next time I buy from them? Oh for sure. read more

*** Pit stop review (Banning) *** First thing I've gotta say is that this McDonald's parking lot is huge. That's a plus if you need to stop and you drive a big vehicle. There are many parking spaces you can pull all the way through if you're pulling a trailer. Also this place is right off of the freeway to pull off and go back on the freeway. The food is pretty average stuff, but I gave 4 stars instead of 3 because the restroom is clean, large parking, and easy access to the freeway. For those who don't know. Sometime larger trucks park in two spaces so the doors don't ding the surrounding cars when the truck doors are opened wide. Also, when things are removed from the cabinets and put away, it doesn't ding the surrounding cars. I'm just trying to be considerate. Went to get food, there's no one in line. I told the guy working drive thru to give me a second, he sigh (seriously you don't wonna work, there's people out there that dont mind taking people's order for $20 an hour). He was rude when I told him I don't want onions on my hamburger, he told me with an attitude that I didn't get a hamburger, that I got a Big Mac, umm Big Mac are still hamburgers. I worked at this store in the 90's I was 19. I was bringing a box of meat up from there basement storage. As I was coming up the Stairs I twisted my knee. I reported i t to the manager. The first thing he does is have me sign some document he stated was for the insurance. They sent me out to door limping and hurt. I was fired the next day.
