Gave this place a shot to support local and based on reviews. Unfortunately they missed the mark. Chilaquiles (Rojo) were very salty but the verde had a good flavor. The ribeye, I ordered it rare but was overcooked and salty, even after politely sending it back the first time (and I never send plates back). With the ribeye breakfast being $33, I expected much better quality. The latte and cappuccino we ordered were lukewarm and overpriced for the size serving. The fresh corn tortillas were placed directly onto the plate and were cold in no time. Fresh tortillas are normally kept in a holder or wrapped in foil to keep them warm. Maybe it was a bad day, or maybe even it was the items we ordered. Very disappointing and I do not recommend. read more

Another factor worth mentioning is the exterior of the establishment. First impressions matter, and the outside is a bit rough around the edges. It doesn't reflect the experience or quality that's being marketed online, and it sets expectations lower before you even walk in. A cleaner, more inviting exterior would go a long way. Loving this small family business Located on the 10 freeway city of banning !! I ordered the tamale plate which came with tamale of your choice with the Chile Verde sauce on top rice and beans. O Boy was it deliciously flavorful. I also enjoyed a cup of café de Olla, which is always made fresh daily just like my grandma used to make. Posole Menudo and Albondigas are several soup dishes that are offered, I would make sure to call ahead and see which soups are available. The chilaquiles were tasty, though not particularly memorable. What I really loved was the menu itself lots of traditional Mexican breakfast options which I loved. One downside was the lack of kids menu choices. We had to order a full French toast meal for a child, which was over $17 a bit steep. We tried this place because it had really good reviews but after visiting, we won't be going back. We ordered a half a dozen of tamales and they were really cold and dry. They were not good at all. Our drinks had more ice than anything, and the cup was too small for the price. We also felt the servers were "too pushy" and kept offering to order other things on the menu instead of being more pleasant. She even asked us to leave a review to support their women owned business. There's a difference between good service and pushing customers into consuming more. I don't mind paying a lot if the drinks or food are amazing, but in this cafe I saw it as an overpriced restaurant that is not worth it, and the owners trying to get you to order more. Food and drink items were pretty pricey for the quality. Save your money and get your tamales and coffee elsewhere. read more

Me and a friend went to this restaurant last week and we paid separate checks with separate credit cards. The next day when I checked my card balance online I saw that I was charged twice for my 1 meal. The food was not good either. Two very dry Tamales and very small portion of rice and beans. The server was very slow also. If you don't know how to process credit cards why do you take them? We should have realized it wasn't good when we saw how empty it was, we were the only customers. I've heard so many good things about Nosotros Cafe. I follow them on Instagram I finally got the opportunity to come in person. As you come in all the staff and owner are friendly and inviting. It was spicy and flavorful. I asked for some tortillas on the side to sop up all the egg and salsa. They brought out a fresh tortilla, made in house as well. Their coffee is also incredible. The cafe de olla was flavorful and the mocha was just the right amount of sweet. My dad loved the mocha so much he had three--yes, THREE-- cups. We ended our meal with a variety of fresh conchas to go. Contrary to other reviews, I don't think it's in bad taste at all to ask for reviews and to spread the word. Closed mouths don't get fed. Where should I start? The food was not good. Conchas did not have flavor and the tamales were dry and very little meat inside. The owner of the restaurant seems more interested in getting herself out there and known but right now she's only being known for bad food and bad service. The staff is very pushy. The owner is not professional by any means. Any good reviews on here I can guarantee you they were from people she personally knows that are probably involved in the restaurant one way or another. The owner lady is not welcoming at all and talks down to any other business owner that's not part of her "circle" Unless she knows you personally she is not welcoming or friendly! Not good business not a good business owner, food gets a 2 for effort but flavor is not there! The conchas like I said lacked flavor and felt like they were a few days old not fresh!! Just go to Grammas down the street! Friendly staff and great food!! I absolutely love this place! We stumbled upon it while house hunting out in Beaumont/banning area. We were starving and I needed coffee and this place popped up on yelp so we gave it a try. They treat you like family when you walk in, so warm and welcoming and kind. The inside is cute and they have a bakery section in the front with the freshly baked conchas etc. the cafe de olla is so delicious, you don't need to add creamer or anything to it. And the food is good and they give you generous portions. I go in whenever I can and would definitely recommend it! read more
