I will never go back there again. Absolutely no one has any idea what was going on. I called them telling them I was coming with the junk yard who was buying my car- so they would know to have it ready. Instead when I got there I was told that my car was BLOCKED IN and they wouldn't be able to get it out for a couple days. Finally when I was able to get it, they asked for an hour advance so they can have the car out for me. When I arrived my car was no where in sight still in the back of the shop. No one seemed to care about how rude or inconvenient it was. Do not go there if you want anything done in a polite and timely fashion. read more

He JUST serviced my vehicle (switched my flat tire to my spare tire), I originally had a claim filed with another company at 5:23pm and every hour that I called they stated that the driver was 45min away, after canceling my claim with them at 9pm...the tow truck driver called me and was very rude and unpleasant. We placed another claim with your company and believe me not Zach got here in less than 30min. I was very upset from the previous tow truck driver but from Zach's initial call letting me know he's outside to his great conversation and energy in person....he definitely made my night! He finished the job in less than 5min and I know it's a Sunday night and everyone's tired.... but Zach still presented himself in a professional and pleasant manner ! My husband's car broke down at work. I called our roadside assistance and this is the company that was sent by them. My husband was running late to get back to his car because he got delayed at a rail yard. He is a truck driver and this is not uncommon. The dispatcher at McCoy was a huge Jack*$#! about it. He called us a headache and was in the midst of refusing us service when I offered to go pick up my husband myself if they would just at least go get the car. And then to top it all off, McCoy themselves messed it all up because they didn't give their tow driver the full address of where the vehicle was and he went to the wrong place. So after all that and when I'm already on my way to get my husband (who is 40 miles away), the tow driver finally got there and by this time my husband was back to his car anyway! I'm not complaining about the driver at all, he was great. But whatever you do, if Jake answers the phone just hang up and call a different company. read more

My boyfriend's car broke down near a mall, and wouldn't start. He tried jumping it and various other things, but ended up needing to get it towed at about 10 pm. They estimated a 2 hour wait, which seemed like a long time given it was 10 degrees outside and a car that won't turn on also doesn't have heat. He was freezing and I ended up driving over so he could at least wait in my car. The wait time kept being extended over and over, and by 3 am we were really frustrated. Around 7 am he asked to switch towing companies and called them to make sure they were coming. They were there within about an hour. So, it seemed pretty ridiculous how long McCoy's tow truck was taking to arrive. The roads weren't great, but we had a feeling the driver just towed a bunch of other people and the ETA was always going to be wildly incorrect. It's ridiculous to make someone wait that amount of time for a tow truck, especially when it was so cold. If they didn't have a driver available or couldn't get there for another 10 or so hours, they should have said that!! Not pretended they were going to show up and then make us wait from 10 pm to 7 am without coming. read more

I called Ford Roadside Assistance and they hired McKoy towing to tow my car. They decided to add on a bunch of fee's that Roadside assistance did not tell me about. Now they are holding my car Ransom for $136 over the roadside cost and refuse to give my car back. I never hired them Roadside did. Terrible company scamming people out of money as a 3rd party service. Shame on them! read more

We broke down on the side of the road in Braidwood Sunday night. Our truck had a fuel pump issue that has been ongoing and we knew we needed to be towed to our family mechanic in Brookfield, Il, also where we live. We are AAA members and we were NOT impressed with their customer service. After 3 hours of getting jerked around by AAA we were FINALLY contacted by a nice lady from McCoy. She informed us to be patient and they were on the way. As you can imagine, after being on the side of a two lane highway in the middle of nowhere my wife was extremely agitated and upset. Driver Drew showed up and had the truck on his flatbed in minutes. His skills and professionalism were unmatched. He drove us to our mechanic which is near our home and was a very reassuring presence and my wife's worries evaporated. We CANNOT recommend McCoy Auto enough. We were visiting relatives in another city and my pickup developed a major leak in a power steering fluid line. I needed to have my pickup towed to a repair shop. AAA sent a tow truck from McCoy Services and I decided to use their repair shop. The tow truck arrived when AAA said it would. By mid afternoon, my truck was fixed and we were on our way home without having to rent a car. Everyone at McCoy's was very friendly and helpful, and the cost of repairs was reasonable. If we lived in Channahon, I would use McCoy Services for all my auto and truck repairs. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I totally would. I don't even use this app but decided to just so that people can know about this place. My fiancé and I used this company about two months ago to get a tow to my shop that I work at when her car broke down during the middle of the work day. My fiancé as told a time that they would be arriving and she waited outside of her work for almost two hours before giving up and telling me that she had to get ready for a funeral we were heading to shortly after work. I had called several times and each time they said "ohh the driver is about to arrive now" well guess what they said that an hour and a half ago too. Finally against all my better judgement I called my fiancé and said just leave the car. Take pictures of the car before you leave and then hopefully I'll be here when it gets here. We called it in around 11:30am and by the time I got off at 4:00pm it still hadn't even gotten picked up yet. All the while they have been saying the driver is about to be there. Finally frustrated I call and say your driver is going to need to just park it in front of my work and leave the keys with a co worker. I come back the next morning to find that my car is not where I told them to leave it but instead on the opposite side of the neighboring business with a gigantic scratch in the front bumper. I now have to ask 5 of my coworkers to help push the thing across 2 parking lots to get it into the shop. I tried calling maybe 5 different times to speak to management and each time was told that the manager would call me back later that day. I work mon-Saturday and cannot go there in person on my regular schedule because they are closed sundays. I've thought about taking them to court since I have time dated pictures to prove my case. Absolutely the worst service I have ever had anywhere. Employees on the phone were blatantly rude. Clearly dishonest drivers, and shady management. I'd also give negative stars if I could. I had requested a AAA tow, this was the company that was chosen. It literally took over 3 hours for them to get there from the time of the original call, Then, when attempting to load my show quality Challenger on to the bed, the right rear wheel was 3/4 over the edge. I asked the driver, nicely, 3 times to please realign the bed with the car. The first two times he tried reassuring me the car would go on the truck. I tried explaining that I didn't want the tires and/or rims scuffed nor the car dragged over, and after the third time asking to realign the bed he said that if he had to realign the truck he was leaving. I told him to leave if he couldn't treat the car the way I wanted. As he turned out of my driveway, he put his right rear wheels over the edge of my culvert, bent it, gouged my driveway for about two feet with the truck bed, and broke the reflector marking the edge. When my insurance agent called the company to find out what the issue was, the driver said that I told him to drive in my grass... REALLY? My agent said that the owner was standing by his guy. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone... stay away! read more

Not good. Had a rubbing noise from a rear tire. He drove it for a min and then quoted $800 for brakes & a Bearing. $500 for just the bearing stating the part costs $300. No, they cost $50. It was just a warped rotor, no brake or bearing issues. Will never go back. read more

I communicated with the provider at State Farm as well as a representative from the tow company that I needed a flat changed to my spare as well as a tow simply because I was not in an area safe for the worker to change out the tire. He was about to leave after the tow and I said I needed the flat change and he said he had no idea about that and would need to get paid for it. I tried to explain that I discussed on the phone with two people that I needed a flat changed as well as a tow just for his safety and he kept cutting me off mid-explaining and proceeded to change the flat while making eye rolls at his partner, who was smoking, and finally I confronted him about his attitude and he said well he didn't like my attitude. I said all I needed to do was explain to him my side of the story and it's a shame there was a miscommunication to him. He ignored me and never spoke another word. He was very rough in handling my spare tire and when he finished he left without a word, which didn't give me the chance to show him how low the spare was and that he should have filled it up with some air. I expect much better service, communication, and attitude in the future or else I'll find another provider for my roadside assistance. read more

Very professional and friendly, he knew what he was doing and made what should have been a bad experience a great one the entire drive home. The young lady Kristen that I talked to on the phone was also very sweet and reassuring, and I was impressed that she kept me informed of what was going on the whole time. STAY AWAY FROM THIS THIS COMPANY. AAA called McCoys to jump my battery. I was standing next to the car when the service person tried to jump the battery. After turning the ignition off he asked if I heard that sound. It was a sizzling sound in the front of the car. He said I didn't have a battery problem I had an electrical problem. He was right--the whole electrical system was burned up! Multiple calls to the ower and people at McCoys....no response ever. When AAA called on my behalf they claimed no responsibility. So Monday I go to pick up my car, first of all the bill was 415$ to get it out and second of all, the scumbag tow truck driver stole 150$ out of my car! And they refuse to compensate for any of it!
