At the time of purchase, the Certified Pre-Owned vehicle was missing an accessory part that I was told would be sent to me afterward. That never happened. I also raised a concern at the time of sale about a headlight that was experiencing significant fogging/condensation and was told that the issue would be covered under warranty. When I later attempted to have it addressed, that turned out not to be the case as it had been represented to me. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication and follow-through. I contacted the dealership and left messages on three separate occasions without receiving a response. On my fourth attempt, I finally reached someone who said they would look into both issues. Several weeks later, I still had not received any follow-up or resolution. Based on my experience, D'Arcy Hyundai may be worth considering if you are getting a good deal and driving off the lot with a vehicle that needs absolutely nothing further. However, I would only recommend purchasing here if you have another Hyundai dealership nearby that you are comfortable relying on for future service and warranty matters, and if you are not expecting D'Arcy to follow through on outstanding items once the sale is complete. The purchase itself went smoothly. Unfortunately, the support after the sale did not come close to matching it.

Within the first week of buying this truck, the check engine light came on. I brought it back 5 times, and instead of fixing it, they just cleared the codes to hide the issues. In less than a year, I have had to bring this truck to their shop TWELVE TIMES. As of today, it is back in the shop AGAIN for the 12th time for ongoing electrical issues, "Service Stabilitrak," and ABS sensor problems that they claimed they already fixed. They also charged me $600 for a right wheel hub that didn't fix anything, ignored a damaged driver-side sensor I pointed out, and couldn't fix a fuel tank issue that prevents me from even filling it up with gas. It even completely shut down on me once, forcing me to pay out-of-pocket for a tow all the way back to Minooka. They kept it for a month, refused to give me a loaner car, and left me completely stranded. To top it off, while it was in their care, they slammed something into my truck and left a massive dent in my rear bumper, making me wait another month for them to fix their own property damage. I finally had to take it to an independent, local mechanic just to get an honest answer on why this vehicle is always broken. The truth is sickening: it is going to cost over $5,000 just to get this truck safely operating. Simotes fully knew this truck was absolute garbage, but they cleared the engine codes, slapped it on their lot, and took advantage of me. When you try to call them to get answers, it gets even worse. The woman in the finance/customer service department completely over-talks you, acts incredibly dismissive, and treats you with pure disrespect. When I finally demanded to speak to a supervisor, he was just as rude and dismissive as she was. This entire experience has been a total nightmare. This truck has spent more time broken down in a shop than it has been on the road. They are a shady, dishonest dealership that will sell you an unsafe vehicle and then treat you like dirt when it falls apart. Buyers beware: stay far away from Simotes!
