I went to several ford dealerships before this one and spoke with a ton of your typical shitty car salesmen. They treated me nice on the phone and tried to make it feel as if they cared only to be greeted at the door like a stranger by the salesman I was in contact with. They would remove discounts and rebates and just apologize and claim it was a mistake halfway through the process and nickel and dime over minor items. Imagine the absolute exact opposite of all that. I worked with Gabe and the process was seem-less, pleasant, honest and enjoyable. Over the phone Gabe sounded like a 54 year old gentleman with 30 years of sales experience who gives to charity and takes care of the homeless on his free time, just a genuine kind and honest human being. When I went to the dealer to close on my truck I was greeted by a 6'8" handsome 26 year old NFL sized kind human I was now afraid would steal my girl. Turns out he just does sales better than anyone Ive ever met and is more honest than the pastor at my church. He gave me the best price for my vehicle I could find anywhere and did all that he said he would do and more. When I arrived at the dealership he knew exactly who I was and greeted me personally at the door and quickly handled my trade in and purchase of the vehicle with every possible discount he knew of. He kept referring to the honesty of their dealership over and against others and their transparency because it is family owned. At first I was skeptical I was dealing with another salesman but I was very wrong. Dude didn't walk, he ran to make sure I was happy. As a matter of fact the entire staff did. And he was doing it with other customers simultaneously but I couldn't even tell. I felt as if I was the only customer he had time for. I had a good experience buying a car at Greenway. I was looking for a new car and stopped in to check out the Ford Escapes. There were several to choose from. The staff was friendly and helpful. Mike Ryan was the Sales Consultant who helped me. I was able to take my time checking out the vehicles and took one for a test drive. I would like to take a moment and rate my recent experience at Greenway in Morris, IL. As you can see I gave them five stars . I would have given more if it allowed me to. I lease my Jeep Cherokee Latitude and needed help with a few things. When we started the lease we met Bob Willems during that time. Every once in a while we would stop in and look at the inventory to see what we would lease once our current lease is over and talked with Bob about the vehicles we were interested in. Each time we would stop in we were always greeted and treated with the utmost respect. Back to why I wanted to leave my review. I wanted to thank Bob for everything and for going out of his way to help me with battery issues. Bob has been remarkable, hands down the best of the best. I ended up finding a screw in one of my tires on my Jeep Wrangler rubicon that could not be repaired since it was too close to the sidewalk. I put the spare on and priced a few different places for a replacement tire-- it wasn't cheap! Greenway I found searching for Jeep dealers and I am so glad I did! Greenway's price was about $70 less than anywhere else I had gotten prices from! Everyone at the dealership was extremely nice and allowed me to test drive a bronco while I was waiting for my tire to be replaced and mounted. (I found it was actually pretty nice to ride in too!) I will continue to get my service done at Greenway due to their excellent customer service and them having much better pricing than the dealer I have been bringing my truck for service. read more

I've been in the automotive business for 30 plus years. I've managed sales and worked F&I. Our salesmen was Dave Chivers what a great guy. I test drove the vehicle and sat with Dave to get the pricing. Out of the box he gave me a fair figure. I said I'd think about it and off I went. Couple days later Dave called asked if I had any questions. Well tonight I drove off in my new Ram. I dealt with the F&I/Sales mgr and then was introduced to the owner. I drive 30 plus miles to buy this vehicle and I my business I buy a lot of parts from our local dealers The experience of a small town dealership is well worth the drive !! Service is terrible!!! People in the service department have such contempt for you. They look annoyed at your very presence. Takes hours for them to do anything, every employee I met here had such attitude, they discussed other people's virginity and selling weed in while I'm standing waiting to be assisted. Why can't anybody answer the Service Phone or return calls. We took our new Jeep for service because the check engine light was on and gas cap showed on the display. They had it for several hours, then replaced a sensor, but not the gas cap. We also inquired about the transmission that jumps out of reverse. Our good friend and mechanic experienced the transmission problem without being told about it and said that it needed to be addressed by the Jeep dealer. This dealer said, "There is nothing wrong, you just have to get it completely in gear." They obviously didn't even check the transmission and because it was a woman driver, it was her fault. Every person that drives this Jeep complains about it jumping out of reverse and is a documented problem with this model. Now less than two weeks later, the check engine light comes on again. We try to call service, but they seem to have forgotten how to answer the phone. After several calls and left messages that are NEVER returned we finally get to talk to a human who tells us that even though the check engine light is on, we can't get an appointment until the second week of October. We suspect the gas cap which was not replaced, but what if it is more serious? Why can't anybody answer the Service Phone or return calls. Obviously not a five star service department. read more

So I called around and was told to drop off car and they would call me,even if I had an appointment and a rental would cost me 35.00 a day and both places would not have a rental until Thursday or Friday, but at Greenway they took in the car and I was out without having to rent a car(18.00 per day)..And honest enough to check out my problem and discuss it with me, Guess what,,nothing wrong,,and I will buy my next car there because they are honest. Bad business ethics. Not honest about their work. They do not pick up phone calls and they barely return them. Tried charging me almost $900 for a new alternator when it was just the fuse that blew ($15) and tried charging me $135 for a "diagnostic fee" they never informed me of. Refused to release my car to the tow truck driver when I was explicitly told it would be fine to have him pick it up and we would discuss the bill after I was able to leave work for the day. I will never be a customer here again and I would urge others to avoid a similar experience. read more

There is a reason this place has a one-star overall rating. Saw a vehicle parked in front Wednesday evening, day before Thanksgiving. Went in and asked how much it was. Was told that the sales manager was off until Monday, that there was no price set until he got back, and they had no idea why it was sitting out in front when it hadn't even been detailed yet. Just drove by today Saturday and saw it sitting up in front of the building. Wondering if they had a price yet or if it have been detailed so I could test drive it, I went in to ask. My salesman from Wednesday night is out sick and there is a person sitting at the sales desk buying that truck right this minute! How could they sell a truck without setting a price? Plus they had given me an approximate price on Wednesday night. They are selling it to this poor sap for $2,000 more than they told me it was going to be! Now they're telling me to sit and wait for a couple hours to see if this other guy gets approved and if not we're next in line! Not at 2grand more lmfao! And its STILL not even detailed! read more

I'd like to start by saying the sales department is not the problem. It is the Jim, the service department manager. We bought a 2016 Jeep Cherokee last September. Two weeks ago I had 1,975 miles on it. My check engine light came on. I was in NC at the time. I did not drive the jeep back home to IL, it was being carried on an auto transport. I did check the book and it said I could continue to drive the vehicle with the service engine light, but to get it serviced as soon as possible. I tried using my remote start before leaving for work once I was back in IL. It started, but then turned off by itself several minutes later. I assumed I had accidently pushed the button too many times. So I just started the engine normally and drove to work. After work, I tried using the remote start again. I had the same issue where it started, but after a minute, turned off. This time when I tried starting the car normally, it would not start at all. I had called Greenway Motors for service earlier in the day, but had to leave a message. Jim did call back and left a message on my phone. I waited until I got in my car to call him back. When I talked to Jim, he asked me to explain what was going on. I told him about the engine light, and that now my car wouldn't start at all. His first question was, "And you still drove it? You aren't supposed to drive it when the light goes on." I told him I didn't know that because I had checked the book and it said I could. He didn't seem to believe me. Then he said, "Well the car shouldn't have even started with that light on." I told him apparently it did, because I drove it to work that morning. He said that the car would have to be towed, at no cost to me. He asked me if I was at home, and I said no, I was in Sandwich in a parking lot. He gave me the 800 number for Chrysler Roadside Assistance. He said by the time the car was towed, it would be after hours so he would look at it first thing in the morning. I called the 800 number and explained the situation. They asked where I was and when I said Sandwich, they told me there would be a charge for towing because I was more than 16 miles from Morris. I said I was told there would be no charge and she said I would have to take it up with the service department. While I was on the phone with Roadside Assistance, I opened my door to get into my husband's truck. The panic alarm went off, all the lights began flashing. Roadside Assistance said to disconnect the battery, so my husband did. The car was towed at a cost of $60.00. The next day, my husband tried to call Jim to find out what was going on with the car. He called several times throughout the day. Jim did not return his calls. My husband was told by a sales manager that Jim would call him back within a few minutes. He didn't. After repeated calls, my husband actually got in touch with Jim. Jim told him he would call him back in 10 minutes. This was at 1:15. At 2:40, my husband called again, and was told the car was ready for pick-up. When we got to the store, we asked to speak to Jim. We wanted to see what he would do about the towing bill. The first thing he told us was we shouldn't have unhooked the battery. We told him Roadside Assistance told us to do it. He said no they didn't. When I asked him about the towing bill, he told me he never said there would be no charge. After I said that he had said exactly that, he tried saying that he didn't realize how far I was from their service department. Again, I told him that wasn't true, because he knew I was in Sandwich. He said he didn't know what he could do about the bill since I was more than 16 miles away. He said he wanted to "quantify what he said." At this point my husband was very upset and said Jim was calling me a liar. Jim said since my husband wasn't there for the conversation, he couldn't know what was said. So again, he is saying that I am lying. Then he told my husband that he shouldn't have been calling him within minutes of each phone call. My husband answered that he didn't want to leave messages, he wanted to talk to Jim. Jim tried saying that he had called my husband several times. We have my husband's phone record that shows Jim only called once. My husband made all the phone calls. So he was also calling my husband a liar. Jim also told us he can't be sure what was wrong with the vehicle since we unhooked the battery, and we shouldn't have done that. Again, we were told to do that from Roadside Assistance. I feel we were treated with such disrespect. Jim made me feel like I did something wrong when I drove the car, and then made me feel as if I didn't know what I was talking about when he said the car should not have even started with the light on. Apparently he doesn't know everything about the cars that he is servicing. We will never use the service department there again. And we still have a $60.00 towing bill. read more
