Clean, fast, and good customer service. The worker that took my order(Emmett I believe) was very kind and well spoken. He was quick to get to me, take my order and explain everything to me(menu items process etc). He even made sure everything was right when he got it out to me. While there, there were quite a few customers and I saw Emmett handing all of them with the same kind energy, keeping everything moving and customers pleased. If you like Panera, you'll probably like McAlister's deli even more because the food is really good and the portions are a decent size. I really like the option to pick two and you can choose from sandwiches, soups, salads, and loaded baked potatoes. They have a yummy vegetarian chili. There is a large parking lot with disabled accessible spots and a ramp to get inside. They offer mostly indoor dining, but there are some patio tables to enjoy on warm weather days. You order from the counter and they give you a number and serve you at your table. Even on busy days, the service is fairly quick. They are known for their iced tea and it's quite good whether you like it sweet or unsweetened. read more

It's tough not to write a super positive review (because I love McAlister's, but my recent experience here was less than spectacular. My pick two and sweet tea was almost $20--call me cheap, but that's pretty steep for lunch. It was made well and tasted great, as usual, but took quite a while to come out. There was only three or so other tables there at the time, and I waited for 15 min for my food to come out. The person at the register was rude when I asked about my total, but the worker that brought my food out was very polite and even came back to check on me. Great service always super friendly. I came in on a Wednesday at 5pm and there was no wait. What to order: (they no longer make it but it's called the Turkey Cobb sandwich) it has turkey, bacon, Gorgonzola, guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo and ranch. I get it in a bowl with potato salad. I recently tried Mcalister's for the first time and I was very impressed by the food. I ordered the pick two with an Italian sub and a southwest salad and it was so good and flavorful and fresh 10/10 recommend. I bought this meal for $13, which I thought was a great deal as well. So everyone knows that the star of this show is the Sweet Tea and it is! Thinking about that tea is what brought me here and then I opted to have lunch as well. It's great that they offer a 1/2 and 1/2 because i'm often torn between a Spud and a Sandwich. For this visit, I settled on the 1/2 Chipotle Chicken spud and 1/2 Spicy Turkey Melt. Very solid meal, fresh, hot and made to my request. This fast casual chain does a very good job providing a nice selection of appealing foods. read more

I guess nearly every review I write starts at four stars....and a few places work up to five and some places fall to threes or twos. So this place is a four. Barely. I don't like cafeteria-style ordering. You stand, dumb-founded in front of a massive billboard listing 2 or 300 choices while people behind you wait for you to finish. And then you charge your order, but do you tip them? Why? Ain't nobody serving you; you be serving yourself. Anyway, I had some monstrosity called a California Turkey Reuben. Sounds horrible; tastes GREAT! Also had a side Caesar Salad and potato salad. All were excellent, except I suspect the potato salad was not fresh-prepared on site, and the coleslaw (on my "turkey Reuben") probably has sugar added to the dressing-- which I hate. Really impressed with the staff at this location. I came in for an online order and it wasn't quite ready when I arrived. The first server I encountered got my information and went to work making sure it was ready soon. I stood there maybe 4 minutes and during that time two other servers came up to me to help with my order. I was not at the counter, but standing by a bench across from the TO GO counter. First time eating here. I ordered the Italian. Sadly, the bread was the best part. I've eaten Italian subs from a variety of restaurants and this was the strangest concoction of ingredients on a sandwich I've ever had. Maybe I'm more of a traditional person, but Dijon mustard doesn't make a sandwich Italian. The black olives and oily bell peppers did not add any value, except making everything slide off the bread. The spring mix seemed to be fresh, although nothing I've seen; and the tomatoes used were not good. Maybe I'll try eating here again, maybe I won't. But! Slow, untidy, fruit flies. My wrap, which I've had before, came out cold..,it's usually heated. It was taken back to re-do. It took about 10 minutes for it to be returned. It was slightly burnt tasting and the tortilla was overly crispy--nothing like I've had there before. On the posit, the server did offer a cookie or brownie for my delay. I've been to this location twice now and both times the dining room has smelled terribly of dirty mop water to the point where we had to take our food to go. First visit the food was on par with other McAllisters but the second visit was very disappointing. My king club had no sauces or bacon and they also forgot my pickle. For a place that charges $37 for two sandwiches with side cups of soup and fountain drinks I would expect to get all the ingredients I'm paying for and a dining room without a horrible stench. read more

McAlister's is one of my top chain restaurants when I visit Missouri. Their sweet tea is on point. I can drink 2-3 glasses easily. I also love almost anything I try on their menu and what's best thought is your can choose 2 and get a cup of any soup with any salad, soup, starter or sandwich. I love not choosing just one. They have really good sides like potato salad, cole slaw and mac and cheese. My favorite spud is the spud max which turkey, olives, bacon, cheese, green onions and sour cream. I usually get half of one so I don't feel super bad for eating an entire one. (I have before though... Shh.... don't tell anyone). Sandwich favs: Reuben, Melts, Horseradish Roast Beef and Cheddar, Sweet Chipotle Chicken (probably my ultimate favorite) Chicken grilled cesar wrap is really good as well. This location has plenty of parking it also is super busy every time I've been in here. Our food took 30 minutes however management apologized for wait because there was a bus load of girls that showed up. It's understandable and I was happy with an apology. read more

Oh Boy. We stopped for a quick meal. 5 of us ordered. 38 minutes later, our food arrived. 4 of 5 orders were wrong. My daughter ordered tomato bisque soup. It was weird. Server admitted they had run out of soup, and added water to some Pregos to make do! Place was woefully understaffed. I meant to take pictures of the table situation. We had limited "choices" to sit because tables were not getting bussed. It was a pit... It was a Saturday, around 7pm. So, not a good time to go apparently. I am a big fan of McAlisters and have spent many hours at locations in Texas and Colorado. This location is okay but not incredible. The food is decent. Not bad at all but not stunning. I've been to this location a few different times. They got my order wrong once but they fixed it quickly. I wish the set up was a bit more comfy. This location does get very busy during lunch hour. I have mixed feelings about this location. I ate here last week (1/30/18) with 2 coworkers and within 36 hours all 3 of us got violently ill. Did anyone else have this experience last week?
