We have been eating at this restaurant since 2009. It was good at first but after a couple of years the service and the food was not up to par. We go occasionally because my wife enjoys a particular sandwich. But it was not good for me. During the last year we noticed much better service and our food was excellent. No more errors, food was out faster and the order takers were noticeable more professional. I am so thankful for the change I told the manager tonight. Great job done by all. read more

Usually a decent place for a food-chain level lunch but they're obviously suffering from the employment crunch. I try to be cognizant of the trouble restaurants are having right now but this was not a good experience. There were maybe 20 un-bussed, really sloppy tables which is never a good sign. Thirty-five minutes after ordering, our chopped salad and ham and cheese sandwich came out. My sandwich ciabatta was covered in some odd green substance so I sent it back - cross-contamination is just a thing I try to avoid. Twenty minutes later, the annoyed manager came out with my new sandwich. I politely tried to explain that as a person with a dangerous food allergy I have to be wary of cross-contamination, but she just shrugged and assured me it "was avocado dressing from the cook's glove." This location is not taking COVID seriously at all. The cashier used their mask as a chin guard and was not using gloves or washing hands after handling money. I placed two takeout orders a few weeks apart. Both were missing items AND the items that were included were wrong based on what was ordered. This place is a joke. Don't even bother. I can't believe we don't eat here more often. We absolutely LOVE McAlister's Deli for so many reasons! 1. Their music is truly the Best! I love to sing along as we know every song and the songs are all good clean top songs of the 60s, 70s and 80s. 2. More importantly, the soups are hot and delicious! Sandwiches are fresh and yummy. The baked potatoes are always wonderfully delicious and their Tea is the best anywhere around! Their desserts are great too. 3. It is the perfect date lunch or dinner spot. The food at this location is always good, but everything else about it is awful. The employees don't seem to care and act as if they would rather be anywhere but at work. The bathrooms are not clean, smell bad, and out of paper towels. Tables are not bussed, and tables that are bussed are not clean. Their credit card pay machine prompts for a tip and makes you press extra buttons to not tip. And why would I tip when the employees aren't really doing much anyway?? We do not go to the restaurant any more, but we were here last night and had terrible time, the food was so bad,( Clubs) but we asked the guy for a pickle, we saw this guy touching the doormat to clean it, picking up plates from other tables and going back to take an order, and went to kitchen after we asked him again for bringing us the pickle in 2 second, he for sure never washed his hands. Employees in the kitchen were not covering their long hair and no gloves at all, all 3 of them with long hair. we could not eat anymore in this restaurant after seeing all this.we got home and both of us puked up. I used to be a big fan of McAlister's, but the menu options and portion sizes seem to keep changing every time we go. This past time I ordered the club sandwich and I thought my sons kids turkey meal got mixed up with mine. His meal was larger than the adult meal I purchased.. needless to say I was a tad disappointed. If we are in a rush and are headed to Lowes we may swing in as it's the closest option, otherwise there are better options to grab lunch. read more

I have been here several times, and each time is better than the last. The service is always above and beyond and their food is truly delicious. Ok not going to lie the food was really good when they first opened and still is decent but whatever they clean their floors with stinks really bad! It smells like bleach. We came in a couple of times and turned right around and left because of the smell. gone way down hill...the last 3 times that I have eaten here they are out of something in my order. Slow service, employees who would rather chit chat with each other instead of waiting on customers. Ordered a plain baked potato and a side of broccoli and watched my order side there in the window between the lobby and kitchen for 10 min while the 2 girls at the counter continued to talk and cut up. Brought my order out and of coarse they informed me they were out of broccoli I proceeded to put butter on my potato and the butter never melted took a bite and the potato was cold. Sent it back and got a refund. Won't be eating here ever again. Today was my first time here and I sooo enjoyed it. I was a bit skeptical bc it always seemed like it was empty, but I seen people were in and out. We dined in. I had a savanna salad and chicken potato, boyfriend had chicken tortilla soup and a regular potato each was 7.69. Of course couldn't leave my sweets alone. So I decided to try a Heath cookie. Deliciousness, you better get you one and it's a great size to hit that spot! Food was a very decent portion, which shocked me. However, they were a bit stingy with the toppings (green onions, bacon bits, etc.) so next time I know to order extra toppings.Sweet tea and fruit punch for drinks. My tea wasn't really sweet to me, it was kind of watery but definitely not that bad if you're a tea lover like myself "sugars on the table". Customer service was great, they came around and got our cups for refills. Tony was very nice and attentive to us. Oh before I forget, I had a sherry vinaigrette with my salad. It was awesome!!! I haven't been to other McAlisters to compare, but I'm impressed by the quality of the food here. If you like meat, I recommend the New Yorker sandwich or the Black Angus club. Their potatoes are also good, although portion size of toppings is smaller than I've had at other places. The interior is in nice condition and clean other than the unavoidable crumbs and food platterings on the floor around tables when it gets busy. Nice alternative to fast food when it's not busy. Expect to wait in line if you come for lunch on the weekends. read more
