I love this restaurant and I have worked in food service for multiple years, so I can understand how taxing it can be. But the lady taking orders this morning/afternoon was ridiculous. I asked for refills for my family, which apparently was annoying. I then asked to be topped off with extra ice and I guess that was asking way too much. I understand being annoyed by customers, but showing your annoyance for something as simple as a refill and extra ice is wild. The food was good-- no complaints there. The atmosphere was nice and seemed to be clean. read more

Went here for a quick lunch and ended up spending about an hour waiting on our food. We ordered 2 sandwiches and a soup. 1 without cheese and 1 with. Seriously called in a order at 10:45 11:50 and still no food barley even had someone talk to me and ask if someone helped me test. Clearly people were annoyed they ordered food and over heard people had been waiting for a hour. The poor workers only had three people working that I could see but at one point there was a line at the door and the cashier was saying it was a thirty minute wait time. Food was good. As we were eating someone was yelling to someone to answer the phone and then used profanity(the lords name in vane). Then I sent my granddaughter to get her tea refilled and 5 people walked by and saw her and done nothing. Then I went to get mine refilled and was standing by her and 4 people walked by me. We had our cups in hand and with all the ladies working you would have thought we were not even there. Then before we leave we all go to the restroom and it looked like who ever cleaned them 5min earlier had just dumped the mop bucket out and left. Came in at 4:45pm to place a to go order. Was told it'd be 15-20 minutes. There was only about 10 people in the place and most of them already had their food. About 10 minutes later an employee called my name and handed me a bag. Didn't go over the order (and I should have checked but didn't think I'd have too) didn't say thank you or anything. Left the restaurant and returned to my hotel. Sat down to eat and realized that NOT ONE THING was correct! Go back to the restaurant and the girl was apologizing as I walked in. They gave me my order (which by now had sat there over 1/2 hr). I asked to speak to the manager and she went to get him. I overheard her tell him "I told you he'd be mad". Manager came out and I told him maybe his people should start reviewing the order with the customer. I also told him that I've worked up in this area off and on for the last 4 yrs and EVERYTIME I get food from there there is some kind of issue! All he could say was "I'm sorry, have a blessed one". No offer to re-make my food, no offer of any kind to make it right. I've never had these types of issues at any other McAlisters I've eaten at and I've eaten at a few. I have tried this location several times. Each time the order is wrong. Today was no different. The Southwest and CHICKEN salad had no avacado and no CHICKEN. It was mosly wilted slimy greens, a few pieces of tomatoes. The spicy turkey sandwich had 2 pieces of wilted, slimy spring mix, no chiptloe, barley a dot of mayo, one tiny.piece of bacon. It didnt taste fresh at all. My advice, if you are wanting McAlisters, find another location. read more

This place is NOT what it used to be. If you order online they always forget something. Tonight 1/9/23, we ordered a whole salad and received no dressing. They forget the lettuce and tomato for my sandwich, and the croutons in my salad. Luckily, they gave us sour cream, but the past two times we ordered on the app to pickup or DoorDash they forgot the sour cream for our spuds. If you decide to order from this location, go dine in or make sure you have everything in your bag before you leave. We are very disappointed, and the current management is running this place into the ground!! read more

As someone else just posted, why have curbside when customers have to come in to pick it up? Called and the phone just rings. All the employees are just standing around the front counter. There were at least 4 other people that we watched pull in to curbside, but they had to go inside to pick up their orders. No excuses! read more

Passing through and this is probably the worst McAlister's I've been too. Place is fully ran by obnoxious teenagers. I witnessed one of the girls run her fingers through a guest hair, then turn around and hand out a Togo order without washing her hands. Also Took 30 minutes for 3 sandwiches. Service is S L O W! The croissant was stale, the sandwich mashed, and it had grit in it. My order was placed "to go" yet there were no napkins or utensils in the bag. No problem, I thought. I got the napkins myself but couldn't find utensils. I asked for them and they looked like they were pulled from a box of 24 from Walmart. This place could use adult supervision. read more

I've been eating at McAlister's in Richland, MS for years now, and enjoy every single trip there. I try to eat there at least once a week. The service is friendly and fast and I've yet to get a bad sandwich. Today (01/06/2018), I had the King Club. It is double everything (Applewood Smoked Bacon, Butterball Turkey, Black Forest Ham, white bread, lettuce, honey mustard, sharp cheddar cheese and Swiss cheese). To call it just delicious would be doing it injustice, and with my side order of 'tater salad and that great sweet tea, topped off with a chocolate chip cookie, it's a combo that will fill you to the brim. I'm also a big fan of the Reuben. It comes with 1/2 pound of corned beef and an ample amount of Sauerkraut, with Thousand Island Dressing and Swiss on Marbled Rye Bread. An excellent choice any time of the day. However, my favorite sandwich - possibly of all time - is the Black Cherry and Ham. It comes with spinach and onions on Black Forest Ham and Swiss cheese, topped with clack cherry honey mustard, all inside 9-grain bread. It's by far, my favorite. As previously mentioned, the service and atmosphere is excellent. I have never had an order made wrong, and always start planning my next visit before I leave there. I am a traveler only passing through, & McAllister's is normally one of my favorite places to eat. The staff was friendly enough. I ordered my food to go so that I could get back on the road. I had a 1/2 spud max and 1/2 sandwich. The spud max was OK, I'm not real sure how you can mess that up. The 1//2 sandwich that I got looked as though it was put together by an eight-year-old. I eat at McAlister's quite often but use several different locations. This is the only location that manages to EPICALLY screw up my order every single time. Whether it's leaving the bacon off of a club sandwich, putting nasty and wilted lettuce on my sandwich, or only filling up the potato salad cup a quarter of the way up. Also forget the pickle spear ALL THE TIME. This place is ridiculous. read more

We walked across the street from out hotel just to get a bite to eat. I hadn't been in McAlister's since IL. I was pleasantly surprised. The carrot cake was great. I had the Spicey Southwest Griller sandwich. You must try it. This is the place to stop by when you're on a road trip. read more

Horrible. Management is rude. We were double billed and were told charges would take a week to remove. Called back and management demanded we bring a copy of the bank statement to prove the double charge when the cashier gave us a receipt for both and told us she messed up. Management laughed at my wife when she complained about the service and the manager that day and he told her that the manager there knew what he was doing. We will not be back again. Not a good experience: While traveling through Jackson, Ms we wanted to stop for a reliably good quick meal. We ordered our lunch and waited twenty minutes before inquiring about our order. We were told it would be out soon. We waited another 10 before I asked to speak to the manager. He was "too busy" to speak to me except to peek his head through the service window. He said they had run out if plates. Meanwhile, at least five or six others we asking the same question about their orders. After an additional 15 minutes our food came out cold. We muddled through our meals and still nothing from the manager, not even an I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Total waiting time...45 mins. Not acceptable! read more

I wish I could give less than one star, but I don't see a half star. I made the foolish decision to go to McAlister's Deli yesterday. When I went to the counter to place my order, I was met by the rudest woman I have ever encountered. She was not only rude, but she also mocked me and tried to get another employee to join in with her. I could not even enjoy my food because of the bad taste the clerk put in my mouth. If you want to be treated like trash then this is the restaurant for you. read more
