Every time we have a to go order it is Wrong or just tastes bad. We try to give benefit of the doubt however today is it! All food was cold, missing potato salad, pickles, jalapeños and crackers. Bread bowl was stale. Bacon was burnt on BLT and Club, sliver of avocado (very expensive non-sandwich). Baked potato upside down so all toppings on the skin bottom! Final straw NO utensils how the heck are you supposed to eat without any?? Lost 3 customers for sure. This is so ridiculous. read more

We used to really enjoy this location eating there 2-3 times per month. I am guessing there is new ownership and/or management. The last three visits have been nothing but disappointing. Each time they have been out of something. The place is dirty and food is nothing but average. The staff seems to lack training or just don't care. We have gone back thinking it was a one time (then two time) bad experience and would improve. After three times we give up and won't be back to this location. I went in yesterday (8-2-19 @ 4:15p) to order a to-go soup and chips. A person before me had also ordered something to-go. As I was waiting I watched the employee (young female, dark hair, dark skin and bad attitude) give my order to the lady before me and then attempted to give me her order without noticing. I very nicely told her the lady just walked out the door with my food. This is when the employee looked at me irritated (for her mess up), went outside and exchanged the bags. She came back in, handed me my bag and said, "Here ya go." No apologies - nothing! Pretty sure she also violated health code by letting the bag go outside the building and didn't offer me a new one. Worst display of customer service I have seen in a quite a while and I am not one who is quick to complain about anything. McAllister's management if you read this - might be a great day to reconsider her employment at your establishment - not a good look. read more

Tonight's experience was absolutely horrible! Walked right up to the counter when arriving, only to wait 30 minutes...for our food to come out as dine in instead of carry out. Another 20 minutes to finally have it packed up...but wait, no gallon of sweet tea. That took another 10 minutes. The order wasn't fully correct, but it was close enough. In the meantime we got to listen to the lady in the window yelling random, obnoxious things but the best part was watching her lick the side of a to-go cup/bowl to clean it off. I understand giving the benefit of the doubt, and preparing to wait a little longer than normal in current times, but this experience goes well beyond that. I would recommend you skip by this location and find some place else until someone gets things straightened out here. read more

Last night my Mom went to Mcalisters to get me a grilled cheese sandwhich, Doritos, and A Sprite. I had been hungry all day because I eat lunch at my school very early. I heard the garage open so I immediately ran to the garage door. My Mom came into the house with our food. I ran into the kitchen and dug into the Mcalisters bag. I saw a Mcalisters box and opened it. It had a ham and cheese sandwich, (which was my moms.) But I soon noticed... that was the only box in there. I saw a little Mac and cheese container, Doritos, a cookie, and my Moms drink and mine. I told my Mom about this and she called Mcalisters. They said it was an accident. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan of McAlister's - at least the one in Nixa! I purchased a four cheese grilled to go at this location. It wasn't until I got to where I was going when I opened my box, pulled the sandwich apart and there was a long, dark hair right between the cheese and bread. I immediately lost my appetite and called the store. I explained the problem, and received little to no customer service! The woman on the phone took my name and said the store would 'make it up to me', so I returned for a remade sandwich without hair in it. When I showed up, the workers seemed helpless. I expected the remade sandwich ready to go, instead I had to wait another 10 minutes and even had to explain yet again what had happened. When the new sandwich was finally done, it was one of the skimpiest sandwiches I had ever seen, not to mention it seemed to have been sitting for a while even though I was waiting for a fresh one! Didn't take long to order. Ordered 2 Blt +A with sides of Mac and cheese and two kids meals (broccoli/cheese bowls. Also ordered two sweet tea's. He made the tea's and sat them aside. Sat for 10 minutes and my food was brought to the chefs window for the cust service rep to grab. Continued to wait another 16 minutes while customers that came in after me come and go. Mind you I literally watched my food sit and get cold . I came up to the table to be greeted by someone else and she miraculously got my order bagged so I could take my cold food and warm sweet tea. Just a sorry that was it. I don't think I'll be eating here anytime again soon. They didnt seem like they cared much and I spent $21.00 on cold food and warm watered down sweet tea. I've been to a lot of different locations for McAlisters and this one is my favorite. The interior is very comfortable and nicely decorated. The service is always fast and friendly. I'm surprised by the last reviewer's comment about portion size, because I've noticed the opposite. I always get heaping portions and really large sandwiches. Not only are portions bigger, but the food is made better. Even during busy lunch rushes, the employees offer to bring refills to my table, too. It must have improved since they first got settled into the area, because I've never had a bad experience there. read more

I have been to several of the McAlister's in the Springfield area. And this one is the best. I get great service and always to much food and I always take home extra. They are never too busy to help you with a drink, extra dressings, napkins, etc And since it is newer, it is always so clean and fresh looking. This place was horrible. My husband and I came here for the first time and ordered two Reubens (both with Mac and cheese sides), a wild berry lemonade, and a sweet tea. The bread on the sandwiches were soggy, there was barely any sauerkraut, practically no thousand island dressing, and the corned beef was lunch meat. Not to mention the sandwiches were so pathetically small it was ridiculous. I'm not expecting a huge sandwich, but something that pathetic is worthless. Now the Mac and cheese was extremely bland. No flavor. Boxed Mac and cheese tastes better than that. I heard their sweet tea was good so I tried it and holy crap it was unbelievably gross. It tasted like Lipton tea bags which have a starchy kind of taste. The only good thing was the wild berry lemonade. The straws were WAY too short for the cups. Even the pickles were bad.
