    Turkey crunch and pecan salad
    Donna H.

Outside the front door smells like gutter water. Inside is very clean and smells fine. Credit card machine was down, but they didn't tell me until we ordered. Sandwiches okay, salad too much candied taste and vinaigrette too sweet. Potato soup had too much sour taste like sour cream. Employees okay.

    My "half" a sandwich

This was my "half" a sandwich when I did choose 2. It's more like 1/4 a sandwich. I asked for no lettuce or tomato and instead I got no bacon, no mayo, no ham, no honey mustard, and no tomato. There was still lettuce on there but it looks like instead of making me a fresh sandwich they just tried to take some lettuce off an old one and didn't even get all of it. It also had a hair on it. Plus the amount of meat was ridiculous. I tried to call and talk to a manager but no one would answer. I called at 7:30pm and they close at 9:00pm. This is unacceptable.

No boxes for the sandwiches and sides. No pickles.

Ordered pick-up. Parked in designated spot, hit the "I'm here" button and waited. and waited some more. My order was to be ready at 6:02 and at 6:15 I went in the store. A server said she didn't see my vehicle outside their very large window and I drive a Nissan Armada. The girl went outside and got my order out of another man's car. She came in and said the man didn't touch the bag, but I watched him get the bag from his backseat and hand it to her. She asked me if I still wanted the food. I should have said no but I took it. Got home and none of the sandwiches were boxed and no pickles. Sandwiches were wrapped in paper and smashed. My chicken on croissant had so much mustard it was all over the paper when I opened it. Broccoli soup tasted old. Not sure what has happened there but it gets worse each time we go. Money spent that feels like a complete waste!

    the "avocado" from my salad.

McAlisters is headed downhill fast. Ordered a SW chicken salad. After a few bites, realized that there were ingredients missing (black bean salsa)..pointed this out and was told "Oh yeah, we ran out"...would have been nice to have been told that when ordering, as I would have ordered something else. But at that point I just carried on. Later I realized that there was also almost no avocado...there were about 4-5 incredibly thin slivers...one with a huge portion of brown pip shell, and all absolutely rock hard (will try to attach photo) Complained on FB and they got me to move to direct message...they told me someone would contact me but then they vanished. This was the Madison, MS location but clearly their corporate is setting the tone.

Big nasty with gravy on the side Yummy

At dinner time we waited 50 minutes for our food and by an hour we asked for a refund and left. Just awful.

Food tastes great but the food can take a while to come out especially for a sandwich and spud shop. Staff is friendly.

Some odd reason, the place comes up on my swarm app as a food truck. It's not, but it's an actual sit down restaurant with outdoor and indoor seatings. They have a salad bar as well. I loved the tea area you had black current and sweet with real cane sugar. I did their mix n match. Which entails a half sandwich, fruit, soup, chips or salad. I chose the Carmella sandwich which was good. Very pack full with meat. I was shocked I didn't taste the Spicey picadillo sauce. I guess it was because it also had mayo. I paired this with half a tomato bisque soup, was good and a bowl of fruit. ( strawberry, pineapple, and grapes) with a dipping sauce. My husband had the full Sicilian sandwich with chips. He said it was good. Prices are a little steep but it beat having something we have back home. Staff was friendly and helpful. I am not sure what apps they use in the ladies room, but it smelled good. My only takeaway was their music that was playing. Not everyone has a knack for Christian music, but maybe if they played a soft rock alternative mix and not just the one station. It's nice to have a blend.

The employees seemed angry about something. The food was mediocre. This is NOT the same Jason's that was in North Jackson several years ago. So disappointed. Won't be going back.

Finally, she looks up and says "for here or to go." I told her I had changed my mind and as I exited the store she said with a surely smart a** tone: "have a nice day." I don't need to spend $15 for a late lunch and be treated in this manner. I eat lunch out almost every day. This Firehouse is off the list. Who needs it?

I did an online order and specifically asked for no Mayo and no Pickles on his sub. What do they do? Cover the sandwich with Mayo and he couldn't even wipe it off. He's immediately turned off and is no longer hungry. It's now 8:30 at night and I'm disappointed because I just spent $30 dollars for us to have a simple meal after a long day. I just wanted a refund so I called the store and the lady said I have to bring the sub back. Ok well it's 8:30 at night we are exhausted and I just wanted a refund on his sub only. She responds No you have it bring it back and that she needs the receipt. Don't you have it from my online order? Along with the directions on how to prepare it? NOPE I have to physically bring back the sandwich and the copy of the receipt back and then I can get a refund she says.. (this location takes 20 mins) I told her I'm off on Monday and she said that works. Now I have to go there on my day off with a moldy sandwich I guess when the manager could have done her job correctly and followed the directions on the online order to avoid a situation like this. I am VERY disappointed and won't goto this location ever again. I love fire house subs but the Customer service was a zero and it's now not worth my time or money. Who ever was the on duty manager tonight at the Grandview location if you're reading this I hope you know you provided the worst customer service! Good job on losing a customer.

Oh, what a treasure this place is!…read more I am a big fan of Mediterranean food and this place does not disapoint. I had the cold plate with a side of gyro meat in order to try a little bit of everything and boy, I was glad I did. Everything is incredibly fresh and tasty. THIS PLACE IS THE JAM Y'ALL…read more For Jackson, this is about as good as Mediterranean food is going to get. I gave it four stars because well, I lived in New Orleans, and I've tasted better Mediterranean food (Lebanon Cafe, Mona's). That's not to say that this Mediterranean food is not good. It's SO good. Shin e. is right, they do have a grocery section which is nice, unfortunately, Jackson doesn't have a huge need for Middle Eastern groceries, so some of the items may have sat on the shelf for a lil' while. The stuff in the case is solid though. The desserts are for the most part really good. The tiramisu is AWESOME, but I'm not sure that it justifies the $5.99 pricetag. Try a chocolate pecan bar instead, they're really good (but I'm not sure that it's a middle eastern thing) The hummous is SO SO fresh, you can taste the lemon and olive oil. Do yourself a favor and get some to-go for later in the week. Okay so pricing is a little pricy, but in all fairness the portions are pretty huge. The best time to go is for lunch, where you can get lunch plates in the neighborhood of $6-9. Dinner gets a little pricy with plates ranging from $10-$20. I had the kebab which was good, but not the best I've ever had. Then I tried my brother's dish, and realized I made a mistake choosing meat. This place is called Mediterranean Cafe and Fish Grill, and griling fish is a fine art that they have perfected. True, they use frozen fish, but they do a pretty good job at making it palatable. Hell, even more than palatable. I would recommend getting the pasta with fish. The pasta is done in this mediterranean sauce that I'm not familiar with, but it's delicious, and there are also grilled vegetables with it too. DEF. worth the visit. The owner (Elias?) is a very accommodating guy. One last tip, this place is BYOB! Which is amazing! (Except on Sundays). There's a liquor store in the strip, but I'd recommend shopping elsewhere for wine selections.
