    Chicken salad
    William G.

Schlotzki was closed, wanted a salad went with second similar option. This location is basically across street from Schlotzky's in Florence. I've had McAlister's sandwiches before so know what they are like, but we went with salad. I got grilled chicken & she got turkey club salad. They were $7.99 a piece which for the size of each was an okay price. I got two meals out of mine so not too bad. When we first opened the two salads they looked exactly the same except one had chicken pieces, I'm saying the advertising pics don't look the same as final product. As for the business it had that sticky floor when walking and liquid spills right in front of register. It was close to closing so maybe their standards are dumber at this time. Our cashier was friendly but the person that announces the names was a bit snooty. Some highs and some lows equals middle of pack option.

Reuben sandwich with pickles and potato chip . Not sure if I'm going back

The restaurant was clean. The service was a little slow. I did notice that no one working in the food area had on gloves I normally order online and sit in the car, but today I went inside and waited. One of the helpers came in to help out. Never washed or sanitize her hands and was checking food orders to make sure they were accurate. Well when she pulled mine out the window I cringed. I'm big on handling of food. If you're working a cash register and dealing with money you shouldn't handle food unless putting on gloves. Ok coming to a close I ordered here a couple of weeks was very satisfied, but today I wasn't. You be the judge of my $11.00 meal

    Do we ever clean?

Welcome to purgtory... Here for lunch. I am not sure if they fill call in orders vs. In house, but we asked for standard menu items and the staff is doing.....don't know what. There are only 6 tables(mostly 2 tops) in the shop and 53 min later no food.. It's a sandwich people.. A COLD sandwich. And it's dirty inside. I finally just asked for a Manger, a refund and left.

Big baked potato with cheese, but for $6.15?

Average McAlister's location, lots of seating for all. Large menu boards to review and order from. They have multiple sandwiches to choose from, hot or cold. My favorite is the King Club, it is very large and served on a soft ciabatta roll. But they have a nice selection of salads, baked potatoes, soups and more. I like the food overall but do feel the prices are a little steep. The basic baked potato starts at $6.15. Service here is usually good, both at the time of ordering and in the seating area. They do a good job of filling your drinks, so be sure to get a refill before leaving.

If a 25 minute wait for a cold sandwich is what you're craving, this is the place go. Hard to justify as a lunch choice during the work day.

Other McAllisters are better. They never make you want to come back. Pretty mediocre and the taste is lackluster.

After having the crab cake sandwich we would recommend doing the platter because the bread overpowers the crab cake. Everything was incredible, the flavors, consistency, and quality. It is for sure comfort food but nothing sits heavy and feels super fresh. Not a fan of coleslaw but it was super yummy and great corn fritters for our first time having them. Service was great. Ambiance was super informal and adds to the vibe of what you're eating. Also unrelated but the cashier/server has a super calming energy/presence/voice which totally added to the vibe

Came with slaw, 1x Side (Collard Greens: sweet vinegar with some heat, and a bit of pork, really good!), and some AMAZING Hushpuppies (fresh, sweet corn bread). Shrimp & Grits: Fantastic! Buttery and cheesy grits with sausage and nice shrimp (not over-cooked or chewy). Green beans were slightly too soft (30-mins until closing), but good comfort food. Coleslaw was "meh," but a good, crunchy foil to the fish and rice. Counter Service (order at register, then they bring to table/to-go) was quite fast, given that they had to cook the fish and prep foods for take-out. Everything looked clean, staff was nice, and owner was talking to everyone. Didn't get to try the variety of desserts, but they looked and smelled great. Traveling, but worth the stop!

I came in twice one morning and while the place was bustling, the owner was incredibly welcoming while chatting with me and the espresso drinks and baked goods such as the peach scone were all outstanding. Inside, the ambiance is calm and relaxed, with hip jazz playing softly in the background. There's a mix of regular seating and a small bar section, plus a pleasant sitting area that should be great when the weather is nice. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in, and they were genuinely helpful with recommendations--particularly when I was deciding between drink options. I ended up with an egg and cheese sandwich on a Kaiser roll that came out steaming hot: the roll was light and fluffy, and the whole sandwich was simple but really well done. I also had a shot of espresso that arrived in a very nice presentation on a wooden board, paired with a side of sparkling water, which was a thoughtful touch and made the experience feel a bit special. On their recommendation I tried the honey lavender latte made with local spicy honey; it was unique, flavorful, and not something you see everywhere. Overall, Bean Bar feels like a low-key, well-put-together café with good parking, a relaxed vibe, kind staff, and drinks and food that show real care.
