The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in, and they were genuinely helpful with recommendations--particularly when I was deciding between drink options. I ended up with an egg and cheese sandwich on a Kaiser roll that came out steaming hot: the roll was light and fluffy, and the whole sandwich was simple but really well done. I also had a shot of espresso that arrived in a very nice presentation on a wooden board, paired with a side of sparkling water, which was a thoughtful touch and made the experience feel a bit special. On their recommendation I tried the honey lavender latte made with local spicy honey; it was unique, flavorful, and not something you see everywhere. Very cute spot in Florence. BIG shared parking lot. Seems fairly accessible and seating is size/ability friendly. Loved the menu choices, which included a chaga matcha that I thoroughly enjoyed. Not many options for breakfast, but what they have is good. They have "topping" options as well, I had the strawberry jalapeño one, not enough jalapeño for me personally. Staff super friendly & they are pet friendly too, dog bowls are outside along with their outdoor seating option. I love the Bean Bar! I usually get a hot natcha with lavender honey and the salmon bagel and they are my favorites. Today I decided to try the chili hot chocolate and it did not disappoint. There drinks have just the right amount of sweetener and if it's not, they'll add more. It's also in a great spot next to a trail, park and other businesses. And for an added bonus they are always festive and the service is always great! Prepare to stand in a line on a beautiful weekend but it's all worth it. There are not an enormous number of places like this in the region. This cafe offers abundant indoor and outdoor seating, and the menu includes not just coffee but plenty of tea options and a lot of quality and/or local flavors. The food menu includes pastries and bagels. I was pleased to get a chai with almond milk (Califia, not some junk with no almonds in it) at no extra charge. My everything bagel was a quality one and arrived freshly enough after toasting that the abundant butter melted nicely. There are some parts of the Carolinas with lots of this sort of thing, but others where finding vegetarian-friendly cuisine of enough quality to get my business isn't easy. read more

This coffee shop has ample parking. It is well advertised from the outside of the building with a porch area for outside eating. The interior is very nicely decorated with quirky posters and signs. There are plenty of alt beverages for healthier drinking. There is a bakery case as well so you can see examples of what to order with a menu right above. The baristas were knowledgeable about making a tea latte, which is always your first green flag, and they made an excellent English Breakfast latte for me. It even had foam art!! They open at 7am but I was here at 6:30 and saw people going inside. It turns out that they have a pretty big staff and they were busy setting up and cleaning. I sat outside and was first in the door when they opened. Yes, I will wait for #LocalCoffee! Two hours which was long enough to charge up laptop and phone, write some Yelp reviews and most important... drink an amazingly delicious pourover coffee. Super nice people! Upon entering I started to scan the menu. I was greeted and they told me to take my time. I mentioned it was my first time there and they got all excited. Then they told me something I had never heard from a coffee shop before. If you order a drink and you do not like it for whatever reason, they will make you some else at no charge. I really enjoyed the unique look and feel of this coffee shop. We tried two different drinks (an americano and an iced latte) which both tasted great. I appreciated the different seating options, such as the bar I could stand at and the tables outside on the patio. The service was great, too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only problem I had was with the price. I'm pretty sure that that is the most I have ever paid for normal drinks at a coffee shop. This was one of the most beautiful coffee shops I've ever been to. The atmosphere was great but the staff were even better. We stopped in during a 7 hour road trip and grabbed a coffee. Not only was the coffee one of the best (if not the best) I've ever had, but I'm also a barista so good coffee is hard to come by for me. I'm extremely particular. Everything is sourced well, syrups made in house, baked goods made by a local baker who also sources mindfully. We have a little travel buddy that we bring with us (a plush goose stuffed animal) and the staff brought us a little Dopio cup (just a miniature to-go coffee cup basically). Before leaving, we bought an adorable little hat for $3 for our goose friend. To say the least, we will definitely be stopping by again on the way home from our trip if possible! What a nice coffee shop! I was getting by my car windshield replaced at the Safelite down the road, and I passed it coming in. After my brother and sister-in-law picked me up, we decided to try it out. Bean bar is nestled in a place that looks like it belongs in the mountains. The aesthetic inside is immaculate, with a modern comfy vibe. Artwork is welcoming, as was the service. Upon entering, one of their servers came up to us and explained how the shop only uses organic ingredients and compostable materials. I got the everything bagel and a churro latte; both were delicious. Cream cheese was homemade, and the bagel was toasted to perfection. I'm here for the coffee. I didn't try the food. Had a traditional macchiato. Better than most. When I went back to get a 2nd drink I found they can't make a breve. This is the only coffee bar in the country I've been in that doesn't carry 1/2&1/2. Whole milk, oat milk, and heavy cream. The barista was entirely unwilling to even try anything outside of his normal routine. So I left. I'm not paying for something I don't want. And if they won't even try. I'll go elsewhere. Aside from that weirdness the service was amazing. And the place was very clean. read more

Wow, I'm so glad I saw reviews for this coffee shop while heading home from Beaufort, SC. Their rose latte is incredible. But what impressed me even more--their customer service! The drink was a solid 10. The service was even more noteworthy. The staff were so welcoming. The woman at the register really took the time to tell me and everyone in line before and after me about how their business operates and about their coffees. When I went to grab my drink from the counter, a barista said to give it a sip to assess the temperature and flavor. If anything needed to be fixed, let her know and she'd make it right or give me my money back! What more could you possibly ask for? The shop was also impeccably clean and airy and bright.
