We stopped in South Carolina for a quick hotel stay on a long road trip. Since free hotel coffee isn't the best, we decided to venture out in search of a coffee shop. We came across Bean Bar- and I'm so glad we did. To begin with , the space is beautiful! Very open, lots of natural lighting, well decorated. When I made my way up to order, the staff was extremely friendly. I asked for a drink suggestion and she recommended a seasonal special- and told me if I didn't like it, they could make me something else. They also have little baked goods- including matcha cookies! There's coffee related merchandise and trinkets available for purchase as well. The drinks themselves were delicious. We probably won't be driving through this area often, but it's close enough off I-95, you should definitely stop on your next road trip! read more

My wife and I were passing through Florence on our way to Florida and stopped here since it's right off 95 and the reviews were great. We got a bagel, pop tart, ginger tea, and churro latte. Everything was amazing and CHEAP compared to DC area coffee shops. I wish this wonderful, kind, inclusive place was closer to home! Will definitely be back if we're ever in Florence again. read more

I adore this coffee shop. The employees are ALWAYS very welcoming and polite. Having someone who's sole job is to open the door for customers is a nice touch (that could be a Covid thing, not sure). The setting and atmosphere of this place couldn't be better. The inside is modern and cozy, and the outdoor porch seating is so inviting and fun. Both are perfect to sit and do work alone or hang out with friends. The only reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5 is that the coffee just isn't the best. And it breaks my heart, I want so bad to like it more. But every time I've been, my coffee has been very weak. Even when I order an extra shot, it's just still doesn't do it for me. But if you're someone who drinks tea or likes coffee with lots of flavoring, you might feel differently. I'm a plain latte person. I would still encourage everyone to go here and try it for yourself! read more

We were just passing through town on the way back home from moving our daughter to Baltimore, and we happened upon this little gem. My goodness, what a find! Everyone there was so friendly and welcoming that we felt like old friends rather than new customers. The coffee drinks were delicious and prepared exactly to order. And we were asked several times how everything was and had a very pleasant conversation with one of the baristas. The only disappointing thing is that we live so far away. I love bean bar! The service is always amazing and the atmosphere is bright. I come here to study from time to time and they really pay attention to the atmosphere. If there's just a few quiet people studying they'll turn down the music and make it something calm. If there's lots of people, they'll turn it up and have it more fun. Plus they have the best caramel latte is Florence! I only wish they opened sooner (6am) so I could do my early morning studying there! read more

Fantastic customer service. Ladies were so nice and offered customer satisfaction to remake or tweak drinks if desired up front. There was no need though because despite lavender honey seeming kinda weird for a syrup flavor in a latte it was on point. Had a 10th drink is free card too kinda regret not taking the time to get it since I'll probably be back. Only been back in the states for 2 months and this service was good enough to make me wrote a review which I've never done. read more

First, they use Counter Culture as their coffee which is not only a good coffee, but has a great story. Second, they know what they're doing. They understand how to craft a coffee exactly as you want it, and as it should be done. They also offer a variety of milk products for those who are lactose intolerant. If you're looking for a syrupy Starbucks type drink, this may not be your place.
