Mixed opinions here, some things liked others didn't. Start with it's namesake the smoothie, ours was the Sunrise Sunset, to me it was ok but I've had better. It tasted more watery and less creamy but we didn't add any of those add on or supplements so it's hard to say if those give it the desired flavor. For just the basic Joe Blow person off street it wasn't that memorable, the portion I did think was large so I does reflect price well. For food we got Buffalo chicken & Caribbean jerk wrap respectively. The Buffalo wrap was good, spicy enough, and filled me up despite the portion not looking like much. The Caribbean wrap was in name only, rice, beans, and a Caribbean sauce w plain chicken but for Tropical Smoothie standards it's probably alright. There is one table w chairs inside but it's for waiting not eating inside. This seems to be popular, lots of people walking in for smoothies only. For me it's not some place I'm gonna run back to, if I'm in the area I might do it again. read more

I've been ordering from tropical smoothie for years and I always order a cookie every time I order my meal. I have not been getting my cookie with my orders on my lunch break and I don't have time to go back and get it, am getting sick and tired of paying for food and not getting it in my bag next time I don't get it. I travel to Florence for business and there are disappointingly few healthy places to eat. Went here to grab a quick dinner and was pleased. The employees were friendly and seemed to be working hard which is sadly rare these days at fast food/fast casual places. The Caribbean Jerk wrap was good as was the smoothie. Prices were reasonable. just ordered from here and just received the worst service! The so called manger who's name is AARTI who is actually the team lead who refused to refund our money! We had accidentally ordered from the Florence location instead of the pamplico location and just asked if we can refund our money. She refused to give us the money because she didn't want the food to be wasted and was worried about the food! Never in my life we received such bad service! She had an attitude and didn't even care that we were going to complain about it. She claimed that she couldn't refund the money cuz the food was already made which didn't make any since cuz the minute we ordered and saw the location we called straight away ! I ordered a chicken wrap no sauce or tomato so I received it with no chicken and black lettuce. I also order 2 chicken bacon ranch that had black lettuce. I drove 30 minutes to take the food back and as I entered the restaurant I caught the employee with no gloves on digging the bad black lettuce out of the container and then she hide it from me so I couldn't see but I seen exactly what she done. I asked for a manager and no one could tell me anything. So I asked the other employee would u eat this and her rely was NO. Then I asked for a refund and I was told they don't know how to refund your money. Once I mention ARDIR name all the employees turnt around and looked at me and got very quiet. I don't recommend this place to anyone. They no longer will get my services and please check your food before eating it and make sure they wear gloves . read more

Great service and good food but can be a tad pricey depending on what you order. The tacos and wraps are great. I do wish they'd wrap their tacos separately when they aren't the same flavor. We ordered the Korean BBQ taco and the Thai chili steak taco but they wrapped them together so the sauces mixed. It wasn't bad but I still would've liked to have tasted them separately. The smoothies are hit or miss depending on the flavor and your preferences. I ordered the seasonal smoothie with berries and beets and while I liked it, my husband did not. You definitely have to be mindful of calorie counts with the smoothies though. (They don't have fountain drinks here so it's either bottled or a smoothie if you order food there.) It isn't a health food just because it's a smoothie. A peanut butter cup smoothie has almost 700 calories. An Avocolada smoothie has about 600 calories. The Island Green with spinach, kale, mango, pineapple & banana has almost 400 calories! My point is, if you're watching your waistline, it wouldn't hurt to check out their website because they have nutritional information on just about everything they offer. Don't assume that you can stroll out of Planet Fitness next door and head over for a kale smoothie and some food and not end up consuming a ton of calories. I am handicapped. I was traveling from Virginia to Florida and stopped to eat here with my service dog. He was wearing his identifying vest. I was using a cane and I have handicapped plates in my car. The owner would not allow my service dog in the place. This has not been my experience in other Tropical Smoothies. Smoothies are great - we've had the sunrise sunset smoothie several times. Always excellent! Wraps are not great. We've had a chicken wrap (Thai, buffalo) three times. The last wrap was the worst and last time we'll order anything from this place but smoothies. They might as well have been called lettuce wraps for that's all they contained. I think I had 3 little pieces of chicken in mine, but a helluva lot of lettuce. read more

I drove around Florence looking for a smoothie place to get a protein shake and I felt like I was looking for a Pokemon. I never found one except Tropical Smoothie Cafe. This is my first time here and the staff was nice. The establishment was clean. The price was very reasonable. I didn't see different size shakes and wasn't offered or asked what size I wanted so I assume there's only 1 size for the shake I ordered. It tasted good. Since there's no other place in Florence to even come close, I will definitely be back when I come visit Florence again. I would recommend to anyone in the area. read more

I have lived in Conway SC for 3 years and maybe im spoiled to that location but when i walked into this location i was mortified. First the tables and chairs were all cheap metal. They bought them from Ollies for crying out loud. Some of The tables were surrounded by boxes and storage. The food was subpar. They wouldn't honor my rewards card and I couldn't understand a word they said. No fountain sodas....the bottled sodas were in a bucket if ice on the counter. No way. I love smoothies and juices and I was looking forward to trying this place. I gave them 2 stars for the mere fact that they exist and are providing healthy options for people. I liked the supplement options for chia seeds and pea protein. The smoothies here taste like mostly water and barely contain fruits or vegetables. They add brown sugar or Splenda unless you ask them not to. If there were enough ripe fruit in the smoothies they wouldn't need to add sweetener. Also, the consistency of the drink was like an icy. I couldn't finish it because i sucked all the liquid out and was left with a thick pulp. So I've visited twice, and have only one complaint. The food is delicious and flavorful. My favorite is the Thai Chili Steak Taco. The one smoothie I had, cause it was on the expense sidee for me was good. My only complaint was that when you order two or more tacos, their not individual wrapped. So if your taking them back home or work to eat, they may get a little soggy or the flavors from one taco gets into the other. I absolutely love this place!!! BUT I am displeased with the customer service I received tonight. I actually attempted several times to place an online order with no luck. I called several times as well and no answer. However, I rushed to the store at 8:55 and tried to run inside the restaurant. I get to the door only to have a blonde haired young male teen cut the "open" light off as I approached the door. It was not exactly closing time. The way he did this was rude and uncalled for. I turned around, checked my phone and again it was not exactly 9pm. If they said they had placed some items in the back and could only serve certain items I would of accepted that. When I called the number again someone FINALLY answered the phone. (Which made me upset because I knew they ignored my calls beforehand.) This is not how I would run a business. The young male immediately had an attitude as I called back. I watched him throw his hands in the air and walk off. It's your job to serve customers not choose when you close someone else's business. It's a franchise and it's obvious that you don't own it. If it's not 9pm and you don't know who I am you should still serve any customers that come even minutes before closing. I could be someone wanting to see if you run this operation correctly. Until all clocks say 9pm you are open!! read more
