We had my son's 10th birthday party at the Sylmar location. Working with Krystal during the planning phase was a breeze - she's detail-oriented and great with communication. My son and his guests had a great time racing and then laser tag. I only have two suggestions for improving our experience: (1) reduce wait time before and in between our party's racing groups; kiddos were waiting quite a while to get going, and they squeezed 1 or 2 public racing sessions in between our 2 groups; and (2) pump the AC a little higher; it was quite hot for our guests inside the facility. She helped me from the moment I walked in till the moment I left. She gathered all the boys when it was time to race, and cut the cake. All the employees there were very friendly. MB2 was defitely Number 1. Where can you take the kids to kill an ENTIRE Saturday evening? MB2 Where can you go and not pay a lot for the kids to have fun for HOURS? MB2 Where can you wait 2 1/2 hours to drive around, and around at high speeds, and get a headache and feel like you want to throw up? MB2 Sheesh, I'm getting old. Buy a track pass, yes I said it. You get the first 2 laps free, a t-shirt, and you get discounts for future races. If you are on the mailing list, they send you free laps for your birthday. Discount deals all the time, especially on holidays, and various weekends. But they best thing about it, the kids get a card, that they can pretend is like a drivers license. They also offer, weekday specials, and value deals for buying a larger quantity of laps. You walk in and wait in a long line. This is only annoying because there are kids 15-22 acting really obnoxious in line, but since I was that age once, it doesn't bother me too much. After you buy your cards, and book your lap times, they tell you about how long it will be. Usually, when someone tells me I have to wait over 2 hours, I would have left and said, its all good kids, we are outta here, but since I had never been here, I said, lets try it out. I am glad I stayed. Right before you get on the track you go into a room and they make you watch a safety video(first timers), which most of the people there ignore anyway. Then you are off to get your head wrap and your helmet. Make sure these fit, and aren't too tight, it can get very rough and hot under there. Don't put your visor down until they tell you too, again, it's very hot under there. You move out onto the track and away you go. Adults get 14 laps, juniors, between the height (48"-57") only get 9. I had yet to finish all 14 laps because I have always crashed and burned into the wall on turn 4.(Days of Thunder reference.) The Juniors get to go out on their own and it seems like the cars don't go as fast as the adults. The adult cars go about 45 miles per hour, and the race usually last about 10 minutes. It is great for adrenaline junkies or speed freaks. The kids loved it, and I have taken my son back a few more times. I told him we can take his friends with us next time we go. I just need to get the little one here, and then I can say it will be fun for the whole family. She wants to be a driver like her daddy... Note: They do move fast, and cars do bang into each other. My son did have a car roll over him, and he did hurt his arm pretty bad. The staff was helpful when it happened, but please be careful when you are on the track!!! read more

Rented out the entire venue for a company party over the weekend and had a really great experience from start to finish. I worked with event coordinator Krystal and she and staff took great care of us. Everyone had a chance to race, venue was clean, timing went smoothly, and all needs throughout the day met. We were originally supposed to go Indoor Raceway but they were holding a private party, so this place was the next plan. The drive here was great! They have a huge parking lot, so you're good on parking. Walking in here, as soon as we signed up our names, we were told that the wait time was 1 hour and a half, to 2 hours! Such a long time, and even when it was our turn, it already ended so fast. Wait time is a little too much. We chose to do only one round so it was 14 laps. Staff: Could be a little more enthusiastic and nicer! They take their jobs way too seriously. It was really my first time go-karting, and I took a fast turn, and ended up crashing into the wall, which was completely an accident, since I was wearing bigger shoes and wasn't really sure how to maneuver the go-kart. As the worker approached me and to fix the blocks, I told him I was sorry, and he just very mono-tonely told me to use my brakes next time... - Okay dude! Have some fun with it! Accidents happen. The staff looks way too bored to be working there and way too serious for something that's supposed to be fun for little kids too. - Racing: It was such an adrenaline rush! I would definitely do it again. The only thing is they grouped us girls with 5 other guys that were racing maniacs. They repeatedly bumped us, and made us spin out of control. Also they made snarky comments about all the times we had to stop because one of us was doing something wrong or crashed. He said to put it on "full throttle" on their next 14 laps once we were leaving. Relax, you're not driving an exotic car. You're driving something a 10 year old was just doing 20 min ago. - Helmets were very claustrophobic, and most of them smelled! I only wish they spray something in those. We don't use our breaks on motorcycles or cars when we race. Getting yelled at by a 16 year old that flat out said you have to "use your brake" Good time but not worth the Benjamin it cost for two races with kids catering to only a few people. After speaking with a few other people there that day they felt the same way. Good for kids but if you have a license the Rusty Wallace is money better spent. read more

We recently had a birthday party for our 12 year old son at MB2 Raceway and it was a blast. The event coordinator was in constant touch with us through the week before the event, incorporating our changes and requests and the event host Melody was excellent during the party. The site manager Kolby and event host Melody both handled our party very well. They even split up the races into 4 separate races, so that our party of 11 members got the chance to race twice. I give this place full 5 stars for their efforts, the facility itself was well organized and well kept and the event went off smoothly. read more

Let's go racing boyz!!! ... and that's what my friends and I did. Always a great time... with friends or a date. My 2 friends and I got the track all to ourselves which was great! We max. out our lap times... I need a bit more work though haha. They recently changed the circuit, which is a nice change of course. I claimed my living social deal a day before it expired, then I knew I could of still used it when it expired which a small fee which is still cool for others. I don't mind the head sock but they need to get rid of or at least change the neck guards, they look so used and dirty, come on guys! Friendly and fun staff. read more

Came here on a Saturday at around 4pm and the wait time was minimal. I can't say this is the case on every Saturday afternoon, but having no wait time really helped the experience. Once we left, which was around 5 pm, the place started to get packed and I would imagine wait times were around 30 to 40 minutes. In any event, I raced twice and it was a blast. The karts go fast and handling was pretty tight. Safety seems to be a big deal, which is a good thing. We watched a safety video, wore helmets, and strapped in with seat belts. Whenever racers crashed or spun out, the staff slowed down our cars via remote control. It's not the cheapest form of having fun, but it's definitely worth trying once. Seems like a fun event for a birthday party or even a company gig. Also, consider buying the VIP option as the perks are pretty good - race reservations, a few races, and a T-shirt. I loooooooooooooove go karting!!! This place is awesome!! Its huge and the staff is nice. The go-karts go fast too. Vroom vroom hehe. My first ride I had a bad kart (stay away from #24!) but the second time I had a better kart that could actually turn without me using my entire body and actually kicked butt! I came in 4th because the first 3 were like pros (they brought their own helmets and everything) but I came in before the other 4 amateurs. My friend had a kick teasing them that they got beat by a girl lol. The staff is attentive. They notice my friends phone slipped out of his pocket and fell on the track right away and stopped the karts so it wouldn't get run over. Great job guys!! read more

MB2 is located in a warehouse tucked in the hills behind the freeway interchange. They have one small track and a collection of arcade games in the corner. Once registered, they give you a personal head sock and a T shirt. Most other kart racing places wash and reuse head socks. MB2 is the first place I have visited that does not want the head sock back. Each electric kart has varying degrees of wear and tear. Kart #6 felt super fast and grippy. Kart #17 felt like it was on its last legs. Bumping is inevitable as you try to overtake over drivers. That narrow barely fits two carts. Most drivers choose to putt-putt around the track at a snail's pace but remain centered to block faster drivers. The track has mostly 90 degree right hand turns. The karts have no power steering and no lateral support. My right flank ached terribly toward the end of the 3rd race. Kart racing is a fun adrenaline rush but I cannot imagine coming here more than once. read more

The place itself is fun the track gets pretty boring after a couple of laps so I would not recommend doing more than two races, but other than that there is a lot of unfairness during races. The whole time we were there the same two guys had been winning first and second constantly in all the races, they were jumping from one race to another. When we did our first race with them they were very aggressive, and the workers weren't slowing them down or giving warnings. I had noticed only 3 people passing me that race and I had gotten 9th place which didn't make sense. The round after that we saw the track managers talking with the two men about how to win and different strategies. When we had done our second race with them I had started the race being first. During the race I let no one pass me and I had lapped the same two guys about twice yet when I looked on the leaderboard it said I was 6th with the same two guys in first and second. I asked a worker about it and he told me that the scores on the leaderboard aren't based on who is first but on your lap time. I do not understand how that makes more sense than the person who is first. Also, why don't they tell you it's based on lap times so you focus less on passing other people? I understand it's just a go-cart race but it still really bothers me how unfair and biased the workers there are read more

This was our first expat this location as. The 4 children we brought were super excited to be here and the raceway was the only thing they loved and that's because during laser tag there is NO AIR ! Also the VR was breaking and we were unable to play as a group , which defeated the whole purpose ! I booked this place for my sons 12th birthday. I was a little hesitant because it was far, but I got a party bus packed 18 boys and headed to MB2 raceway. From the second I got there Maddie our party coordinator was so helpful, and made the party a huge success. There wasn't a dull moment and everything was planned out so well. We took 10 kids to the track (made reservations in advance) for a 5pm event on a Saturday. Excellent track, well decorated and spacious, friendly and professional (young) staff, and we were provided with a great "party" room complete with drinks, pizza, birthday cake and lots of staff attention. we waited 1 hour for 10 minutes of racing. we got there and it was completely empty and they told us we'd be racing in 20 minutes. we ended up waiting one full hour. they stopped the race every 2 minutes and slowed us down on purpose. it was so expensive and it was so slow! not worth it at all! save your time, save your money. horrible experience read more

I came to Cali for a vaction and the first thing I did was come over to mb2 raceway to kart because I love karting but I was so disappointed first of all the prices where outrageous for the terrible karting and serives it's 25 dollars per round and the rounds are 15 laps of this very small track witch barley last and when I bought my tickets I was so confused on how to know it was my turn they said they would call them out but they never did I say right next to the pkave listening and they never called it out who was going next I even asked a employ about this and they said "yeah we are not calling them out for some reason" this is aboutly insane they jsut expected everrome to know whje it's there turn and they don't tell you and it has no way of knowing it only tells u who's playing and ur spopit to come in to get in the kart before they finish so I had to ask the people constantly on what was happening and when it was finaly my turn to go after forverr I went in to do my helmet and they didn't even help you and Wernt even in the room with u where u put on ur helmets and once u get in ur kart witch I think are terrible karts they do not go 45 miles like said on the website not anywhere near it it has no agustina for the seating just expecting everyone to be the same size and they didn't even tighten my seatbelt correctly it was so lose that it was as if I didn't have a seat belt and the staff was so unperpaird even delaying everyone on there kart wsiting to leave because they forgot to charge one of the karts and one stead of taking the work to switch the persons kart they had us sit there and wait for it to charge and then in the middle of no where they slow down everyone's kart like 4 times a round witch hapoend everytime even times I don't play for no reason dometimes it was because someone crashed but mostly for just no reason and after all the time I wsited to play a round I was waiting for my second round witch was 17 they told me 16 was going because I have to ask the people at the desk everytime to find out and when I asked they said 16 and I'm next I came after a minute and they told me there having a kid round inbetween that that's 12 laps so I just say wtv then come back after they told me it was going to go in a weird order before me I belive it was sormthing like 13, 14, 20, 22, 17, 18 witch was Aboutly crazy they will make me wait that much more but I already have paid for them and decided to wait because I was ment to play 17, 18 witch I was happy I would be able to play back and back I asked the person doing the mating and the cashier tbag I will get back to back game they said yes many times and even confirmed it before I played 17 once I fianly play 17 and have a terrible experience with evetthing including the staff I get hit in the round by another person when there was plenty of room to go around they crashed staight into me pushing me into the wall not even to the side to the wall and they told me that they decrease speed of people they crash into others for safety porupos but after tnsg big hit they didn't even do a thing didn't change his speed or do anything read more

I had bought 2 Amazon Local offers for 14 adult laps for the great price of $11 each in October. My boyfriend and I finally used it on Saturday and had a blast!! Sam, a girl, help check us in and with a very short wait of about 5 minutes we were in a car. The time is 14 laps for all driving that round and I was able to finish 9 laps and my BF 12 laps in the time allowed. The employees there were very helpful and we were in and out in about 1 hour. There were not a lot of people there when we first arrived about 1 PM but as we were leaving more were starting to arrive. We had so much fun that I am glad I purchased this for an attraction we had never been to and look forward to going again. There is a podium to stand on to take photos too. read more

We brought out of town guests here on a Saturday night about 8 pm. It didn't appear crowded as the place is pretty spacious. Plenty of seating to watch the cars race around the track. We did have to wait quite a long time (8 adult / junior races) before our group's race. The staff watching the cars seemed very attentive to the racers. They slowed cars down immediately when something happened and fixed the problem quickly as well. Our 3 racers had a great time and wanted to come back the next day but time didn't permit. I used the women's bathroom while waiting. It looked clean though a little dark. Both paper towel dispensers were either out of towels or didn't work, though I turned the dial to correct the problem. Warm night so hands dried quickly naturally. We'll bring the boys back again next visit, and I'll use Groupon next time. read more

Like another yelper I'm giving this place 2 stars because I had a good time, but the service and way it's run dumb it down, a lot. First of all, after checking in we had to wait 2 hours. But whoever was helping us kept changing what he was saying - "it'll be about a 2 hour wait" turned into, "well, actually it might take an hour and a half," to which we replied outloud that we would go out and come back, to which he said, "well, I don't think you should leave because you might miss your race... it might happen earlier..." ... so we were forced to stay inside waiting. The wishywashy-ness was kind of annoying. So while you're waiting, all that's available are random couches facing the track and a corner arcade to pass the time. Worked for like 30 minutes until we used all of our credit and got bored again waiting. Mind you also, there's NOTHING to eat and just a vending machine for drinks. So since we still had a while and I had read about this place having a pool table, we went to find it. Started playing for 10 minutes in a big empty room when another staff member comes in and says, "Um, you're not allowed to be here - it costs $150 to rent this room." Keep in mind there were no parties using any of the rooms. But really, she didn't have to add the cost to her statement kicking us out - made it seem as if she was implying we were too poor to be there. Which, by the way, this place is run by high school kids. Then finally the race itself was enjoyable, although I thought I was doing decent and still came in last for some reason. Even after lapping some guy twice that was stopped in the middle of the track. The whole race lasted about 10 minutes. Came here with a friend for her birthday and although we had fun, I don't think we'll be coming back. Glad we only payed $13 for a race with a groupon instead of their regular prices. read more

I had my son's 8th birthday party here! We had the VIP room that was amazing it came with an Xbox, pool table and refrigerator, the kids didn't want to leave the room! I would definitely recommend the VIP room for any age or party. I can't tell who had more fun racing the adults or the kids. The cars was fast Soon as I arrived I was greeted by are host Maddy and Natalia. Both of them was so helpful and made sure everything I needed I had. The service was amazing. We had over 40 people in are party and EVERYONE had nothing be great thinking to say about their experience and service from the safe at MB2... Much better than expected! It was our first time there. First we had to make our own accounts and then buy the tickets for a ride. There was no waiting so we were pretty happy about it . Next, when our numbers were called, we entered to a room and watched introduction video; to be familiar with a ride and flags. At last, we set on our carts and went in full speed. It was great. At first it was little hard to stir the string wheal but got used to it really quick. The reason why I'm giving a 4 stars is because the ride was constantly stopping which was really annoying.
