I had a wedding shower and needed to order a cake so I went to Mazzetti Bakery. I ordered the derby cake 10x14 (a very well known cake from there) and it was sooo yummy and pretty. That size was the largest they can do but I needed more cake for more people. Adriana (the baker) suggested she would put cupcakes around the cake with a big bow to make more to feed. She made the cake look sooo amazing!! She went above and beyond to make this cake look so special for my daughter. It was the best cake I have ever tasted. This is my favorite bakery to go to! Thier prices are great and thier baked goods are top notch! I really love thier donuts as well as the coffee prices. To be honest i dont go here that much because i TRY to watch my sweets intake but this place makes that really hard to do.... Last month I ordered 2 dozen mixed donuts for a party. I called and spoke to a very nice young woman on the phone to ask if I should order ahead of time or not. She said either way and that I could order through the phone or in person. I elected to go in person and place my order. I arrived at the bakery and the young woman whom I spoke to earlier took my order. The following Saturday I arrived to pick up my order and it was ready and packed in a box. The donuts were fresh and delicious! I usually buy pies or the slices of cappuccino cake and/or chocolate cake which are simply delicious. My family also loves the Derby cake and order them for special occasions . I am fortunate to live close to this bakery. Not only was ordering super easy online, but I called to make sure that I scheduled the correct pickup time, and the customer service on the phone was professional, friendly, and very caring. We went here after eating our fish, calamari, scallops and chips lunch. First of all they have a huge variety of treats to choose from. We decided to get a carrot cake cupcake which was delicious and full of wonderful carrots. I've tried a variety of their small desserts. I've had the canoli, cream puff, raspberry cake slice, pinapple coconut cake slice and cheesecake. Of these, the standout was the cheesecake. It was really creamy and delicious. I didn't care for the pineapple coconut cake and the rest were decent. I'd like to come back to order and try their famous derby cake. We have been going to this bakery at least once a week for the past month. Their pastries are really good and probably would be the best go-to bakery spot if you live nearby. Although their baked goods are awesome, I think it may be a little pricey. For example, the cheesecake are a bit tiny and cost four bucks. However, their cupcakes are good and within a fair price. I'm looking forward to trying their Derby Cake in the future. I tried their derby cake, chocolate mocha, napoleons, cannoli and and I ordered a birthday cake from them: The derby cake is basically a sponge cake with whipped cream and banana and strawberries- nothing special. The chocolate mocha cake and the napoleons cake were few days old - they tasted like something that set in the fridge for a long time, very dry, and I could feel the butter chunks. The cannoli was the only good thing that I tasted there. The birthday cake was fine but the design was very unprofessional, almost like an amateur 9 years old did it. I have grown up coming to Mazzetti's Bakery sometimes as a treat before school, weekend breakfast, and some special event cakes. It was not shocking that when it came time to get married I thought to taste wedding cake from the bakery. My fiance and I had tasted so many cake combinations but decided to do two flavors, a classic chocolate raspberry and white cake with guava filling. Each combination was completely delicious--my now sister in law, who claims to not even like cake, loved the chocolate raspberry! The white guava was a different flavor for folks and a hit among the guests. We opted for a smaller stacked presentation cake, and then sheet cakes to minimize leftovers and keep costs down. I've enjoyed this solid local old-school bakery for 20 years. At work we looked forward to their breakfast treats brought in especially corn, bran and chocolate cream cheese muffins. Nice selection of cakes by the slice too. Their pastries can be quite sweet and heavy on the frosting but hey this is a dessert bakery. I got my daughter a birthday sheet cake here too. What a sweet treat to find this popular Bakery in Pacifica. A very busy Sunday, lots of assistants bustling around- great teamwork too. We asked a few questions and got a delicious chewy bran muffin, blackberry turnover with amazing filling and buttery crust... and on impulse asked for a chocolate biscotti. We didn't mean to pick so many ... but there was such a selection and we didn't want to hold up the line!! (Maybe that is just an silly excuse ) Everything was fresh, tasty and coffee was good too! Several tables next to the big windows. Looks like a good place for a cake too, as several people picked up cakes the'd ordered ahead. This bakery has a devoted " fan club" having been here for decades and we are happy to have found it! Next time, just one slice of pie... watch out it's hard to resist -one more- pastry or cookie. I am so impressed with this place! I cannot believe the variety of baked goods this place has! I think they are know a for cakes and cupcakes but my boyfriend and I were craving doughnuts and came across this place on the way home from a hike in Pacifica. When I came in I had to leave with more baked goods than just doughnuts, since I obviously have no self-control. We got a few different doughnuts, a blueberry muffin, and raspberry turnover, blackberry hand pie, and sourdough baguette. Everything was so good, we ate everything way more quickly than we should have! I love a good fruity dessert and I was not disappointed, the raspberry and blackberry fillings were a perfect sweet yet a bit tart balance. The blueberry muffin was extremely moist, and the doughnuts tasted fresh! The sourdough baguette was also surprisingly good and huge, one of those ones you would cut up to make a huge deli sandwich on a "sourdough roll", muncher wider than a normal baguette. I just love coming here for their pastries and cake! Last year I ordered their derby cake (bananas and strawberries) for my baby shower. It was absolutely delicious and moist. This year I ordered another cake with guava and mango! I was unsure because I hoped it wouldn't be tangy. Thewas perfectly sweet and moist!!
