I was tasked with ordering the cake for my best friend's milestone birthday and knew I wanted a vintage cake design. I reached out to Sweet Dreams Bakery with the design that I had in mind and Maricel responded quickly and assured me that Sweet Dreams could make the cake that I wanted. The end product was BEAUTIFUL and delicious. We brought the cake to a restaurant and someone outside of the group even requested to take a photo of it! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a custom cake. Thank you so much Maricel and Sweet Dreams Bakery team. read more

I can't say enough about this bakery what started as a sweet tooth fix has turned into an obsession and love. The cake flavors are amazing, and I love that they have mini cupcakes of such a variety of flavors. But they are also one of the most talented cake artists. I contacted them on whim last year when my default baker went out of business and I needed a cake for my kids birthday party. It was a Bluey themed party, and they really came through with everything. Sometimes its hard going with someone new, especially when you don't know what to expect. But I knew their cupcakes were amazing so figured it was worth the risk. But they created the most amazing cake that was beautiful, moist and flavorful. This year, we choose a hawaiian theme and then subthemes of a Hawaiian Hello Kitty, Hawaiian Squishmellows, and Hawaiian teenage mutant ninja turtles. It was a challenge to put it all together but they did it and I was so happy with the results! And the cake literally melt in our mouths (the berry flavors, for anyone interested). Everyone has been so easy to work with and I love that they do a consultation to get information on what you are looking for. Highly recommend if looking for a mini sweet treat, or bigger sweet treat. Or any speciality cakes. Oh yea, did I mention they make macaroons and cake pops too!? Literally can't go wrong with anything here. read more

Sweet Dreams Bakery is a dream come true--every single time! I've been ordering custom cakes and cupcakes from Sweet Dreams since 2018, and let me just say--they NEVER disappoint. If you're looking for a bakery that nails both taste and design, this is it. Every year, I order a birthday cake and cupcakes for my son, and every year, I'm blown away by how easy, seamless, and downright enjoyable the whole process is. Whether I give them a super specific theme or a general idea, they always take it to the next level. Over the years, I've had the pleasure of ordering: * A Mario cake that made my little gamer's face light up with joy * Mario-themed cupcakes that were a total hit with the kids and adults alike * An adorable 100-day cake that was almost too cute to eat (but we definitely did!) * A colorful Cocomelon cake that had everyone at the party asking where it came from * Plus a few other stunning creations for parties and celebrations The designs are always spot on--super detailed, vibrant, and exactly what I envisioned (sometimes even better!). But what keeps me coming back is the flavor. Moist, fluffy cake layers with just the right sweetness in the frosting. Their cakes not only look amazing, they taste amazing, too. And let's talk about service--so easy and stress-free. They're responsive, friendly, and always go above and beyond to make sure the order is perfect. Sweet Dreams Bakery is my go-to for every celebration, and I honestly can't recommend them enough. If you're looking for a bakery that delivers top-tier quality, creativity, and service, this is it. read more

Fantastic bakery! Their Ube Macapuno, the Caramel Apple, and the Salted Chocolate Caramel cupcakes are to die for! And they're run by an amazing staff who are patient, willing to answer questions, and go above and beyond with their service (my wife had an emergency and made sure that it was taken care of, no questions asked). The cupcakes are already worth the trip. But if I can add another star, that goes to the staff. Thank you so much! read more

I order and inquire about the cakes thru email. Give them about 48hrs to respond. You can order online or in person. Easy pick up. Double park with hazard if no parking. $25.95 for 4" cake. Perfect for double birthday celebration. Ube cake is moist and not too sweet. Coffee toffee is yummy with bits toffee crunch on top. Bakery sells cupcakes and cookies. Got 4 cupcakes for my husband's 30th. Birthday and it was so perfect! Each cupcake was the perfect amount of sweetness that wasn't overpowering, and yet delicious. Each cupcake had great flavor, and I'm so glad I got it for my husband. Our favorite was the almond brittle cupcake! So unique, tasty, and not too almond-y. The cupcake cashier was super nice and sweet, and helped me with my indecisiveness in my orders. It looks like this place has been running for a long time, and is a family owned business in a cute small bakery. I would HIGHLY recommend coming here :) read more

Tiny bakery in Colma has got a lot to offer. I ordered a half dozen cupcakes custom build from their on hand selection. This was a gift for a birthday and they really enjoyed them. The only complaint was the Ube cupcake did not have the flavor as thought it should. Otherwise, the other selection of cupcakes, which is a great variety, were well presented and flavorful! The banana split cupcake is good and very cute! Looks like they offer loads of custom made to order cakes. Their pastries are visibly appealing, a lot of work goes into their craft. read more

Picked up a dozen variety mini cupcakes and was pleasantly surprised at how moist and incredibly flavorful they were! A lot of other cupcakes may look like the flavor because if the food coloring but not these! They really taste like the different flavors. My fav were the ones that included chocolate but the ube...that was legit real ube in there! Hard to believe I would like this more than Kara's! The girls at the bakery are super friendly as a plus. My daughter had these cupcakes for my grandaughters birthday,I had the Pumpkin it was beyond delicious. I will have to go to this shop!!

This bakery has been around for over a decade and is still making great stuff! I remember when this spot first opened amidst the cupcake craze 15 years ago. Sweet Dreams has always competed against big time cupcake companies. A lot of which are gone, but, Sweet Dreams is still here. Which says quite a bit. I pretty much only get cupcakes here. Once in a while I'll get an order of bread pudding because my husband likes it. My favorite cupcakes are: - banana split (banana cake with whipped cream) - cookies and cream (cookie cake/cookie crumbs) - almond brittle (white cake filled with pastry cream, frosted and topped with almond brittle crumbs) The cupcakes are always fresh. They offer some unique flavors. Cupcakes are moist, fluffy and have a yummy frosting. The cake to frosting ratio is on point. I don't recall ever being served a day old cupcake, or a bad cupcake from here. It's important to note that like any bakery, items are limited daily. On first come basis. It's possible they could run out of an item or replace an item in your order. read more

Lucky to be local next to this establishment! They came in clutch for my mom's birthday cake with a 6 inch red velvet cake on hand! I ended up adding some cupcakes to my order and was very pleased! I would definitely choose to support this local business over the standard Goldilocks or Red Ribbon - this bakery offered moist and delicious flavors without an overpowering sweetness. I also enjoyed that their icing or buttercream wasn't overly rich but just right! Red velvet is a winner as well as their Oreo and salted caramel! I'm sure other flavors are delightful as well - I just didn't have any more stomach capacity that day! read more

Ordered a dozen each of the mini cupcakes: lemon drop, carrot and red velvet and decorated it myself and had it delivered. Easy online ordering process and delivery was prompt! I ordered a One Piece pirate theme cake for my son's 1st birthday party. This bakery will take the time to make sure you get what you are looking for, it even helps for them to get a picture online and they re-create it exactly, or better! From the accuracy & precision of re-creating the design to the cake flavors, it was perfect. It took alot of courage to want to cut the cake because of how beautiful it looked. I ordered double chocolate for the top layer and red velvet for the bottom. Not overly sweet and moist, which was so good! The price for this was also very reasonable and affordable for what I wanted. Will definitely recommend and order from this bakery again. Thank you to Maricel who was so patient when it came to communication and placing this cake order. read more

Ordered a birthday cake for a couple of coworkers. I don't really have much experience with cake ordering so I don't really have any go-to bakeries. Did a search on Yelp and found this well-reviewed bakery not too far away from work. Due to my lack of cake-ordering experience, I also wasn't sure how big a cake to get but their online ordering form was very helpful with guidelines for how many people each size cake served so I went with the 6" cake. The cake felt a little pricey but again that's probably due to my lack of cake buying experience haha. This cake was waaaayy better than say a supermarket sheet cake, so it was worth the upgrade. 6" sounded small even though it said it would serve 8 ppl (and I think we stretched it even further by slicing thinly) but bc of its surprising height, it easily fed our group. I ordered the Nutella cream cake which was a chocolate cake layered with Nutella, whipped cream, bananas, and strawberries. It was a hit! Love Nutella and the use of two kinds of fruit. The bananas were a surprise for folks but they really liked it. The cake was nicely moist too, and I normally don't like frosting (often leaving a lot of it behind) but the frosting on this cake was so light that I ate it all. If I need to order a cake again, I'd definitely keep this bakery in mind. read more

I ordered a few dozen cupcakes from Sweet Dreams Bakery via their third party delivery system Ezcater for a $30 delivery fee. I was giving them out to loved ones at a specific time so I wanted to make sure they arrived on time & in perfect condition; had these only been for my own consumption, I would've chosen a cheaper delivery method. They arrived packaged exactly how I wanted them & without any frosting out of place. I was immediately drawn to Ube Macapuno (ube coconut cake topped w/ ube buttercream) and Almond Brittle (almond cake filled w/ pastry cream & topped w/ vanilla buttercream), two flavor combos I don't often find. There's some serious texture going on in these cupcakes; they're less soft & fluffy & more dense & toothsome. My recipients especially liked Banana Split, Choco Velvet, & Cookies & Cream. Cupcakes are $3 each. Easy communication with the Sweet Dreams staff. Would definitely consider purchasing a custom-made cake here for a special event. Thank you, Sweet Dreams Bakery, for the smooth ordering & delivery process! read more

The cake was easy to order and tasted amazing!! Ready to order more. Service was great and so quick!

I've come here before, but never reviewed them. Back then I wasn't a fan. I thought their cupcakes were OK. Not a place I would come back to. Which I didn't until I was in the area getting my car smogged. Walked in and my son and I were just standing around for at least a couple of minutes with no one inside to greet. That was a tad disappointing. Once someone finally emerged from the back she was very friendly. I asked if I could get cupcakes without the frosting since my son hates frosting. She kind of looked at me and asked how many I was planning to buy as if she didn't really want to sell them that way? I was a tad thrown off by that. I told her 2 and she said OK. So I take it if I said a dozen that may have been bad? I don't know. I ordered their Pistachio and Chocolate red velvet and 2 red velvet no frosting. They ran out of the Ube Macapuno in both sizes, which was disappointing. The flavor of their red velvet was wonderful. I didn't care for the chocolate ganache on top. The Pistachio was so delicious. I was a tad weary on the frosting, but it was soooooo good! Both of the cupcakes were moist and flavorful. I would definitely come back to try and see if I can try other flavors if they haven't run out. The prices are not too bad. $3 for the regular sized cupcakes. They also have mini cupcakes, cookies, cakes, and macarons that I can remember. Parking is only street parking. read more

First time trying this place. It is surprisingly hard to just find a cupcake store. I was a little disoriented with the process as it was my first time and I had a hard time reading the signs (you can't enter the store...thanks COVID). I ordered 8 mini cupcakes for $14 and change. If I had ordered 12 mini cupcakes the price would have been around $11. I didn't realize that there was a discount until after I had paid. I know it is not a big difference, but it would have been nice if the employee had said, "oh btw if you buy 4 more cupcakes you pay..." The cupcakes were good. Frosting wasn't too sweet. Would definitely come back again to get a variety of mini cupcakes, but this time I'm buying read more

Came here for a craving of cupcakes and didn't want to indulge too much. I also wanted to try a variety so I opted for the mini cupcakes. I don't know if it's because the portion sizes were too small to get the best flavor, but they were not as tasty as they look. I was kind of disappointed. Got these AMAZING cupcakes as a gift. Tastes amazing. Looks extremely beautiful! Didn't have the nerve to eat one until I let my nephew devour one down so I don't feel guilty. Not sure if my friends asked or knew or if the shop have a small print out letting customers know which cupcake have what ingredients, as some cupcakes in my batch have coffee flavor as I tasted. Didn't want my nephew or kids to have caffeine as a young age. Otherwise, I would definitely make an order later in the future for bdays or just to have to eat myself! read more
