Been wanting to try Crumbl for awhile but they didn't have one in San Francisco until just a few months ago. I waited a bit til the hype settled down to visit. Clean, pink & white aesthetics, pretty store. You can self-order at the kiosks or at the front counter. On this recent visit, I tried the Mini 3 pack and got the semi-sweet chocolate chunk, the Strawberry Cheesecake (+0.69), and the Original Pink Sugar Cookie. I also got an additional regular sized Semi-sweet chocolate chunk and a bottle of water. I shared almost all the cookies with my husband. We both thought they were too sweet, but they were good and very substantial. The regular semi-sweet chocolate chunk took me days to eat. A once in a while indulgence but perfect for gifting to someone who loves lots of chocolates in their cookies. The strawberry cheesecake is pretty amazing. Full of flavor and definitely stands out on its own. We didn't really care for the pink sugar cookie. Not much service as I used self service kiosk but employees seem busy and friendly. I was ambivalent on getting crumbl out here in the bay since it's cheaper back in my hometown area, but splurging on the cinnamon square was a 10/10 decision! It's hard to find a good cinnamon roll in the area without spending an arm and a leg or finding out it is subpar. When I tell you I was SO EXCITED that I did not have to commute to freaking Foster City anymore to get Crumbl Cookies, miss out on some of my favorite flavors on the menu or miss out on trying new items of the week that caught my eye anymore. I have never encountered a wrong or missing order yet. I have encountered an out-of-stock cookie that is out of their control. Crumbl has desserts which are very sweet others just too sweet. They have a variety to choose from and I got a few different ones. I had the raspberry cheesecake which was a bit sweet but delicious. Those flavors were the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie, Key Lime Pie Cookie, Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk, Chocolate Cake Batter, Wafer ft. Kit Kat, and the Iced Oatmeal cookie. If I were to rank each cookie, it would be Key Lime Pie Cookie being my favorite, then 2nd place being Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie, then Iced Oatmeal cookie, then Wafer ft. Kit Kat cookie, then 5th being the Chocolate Cake Batter, and least favorite was the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk. The Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk was my least favorite because of how simple and basic it is, but the cookie still tasted good though! I shop at Lakeshore Plaza on a weekly basis. As such I noticed store construction started over a year ago. Was it really going to be Crumbl? When the signage finally went up it became a reality. My first Crumbl cookie experience was two months ago in Palm Springs. I tried four different cookies. I thought too sweet and too doughy. But wanted to give Crumbl another try. Today it was a free chocolate chip cookie giveaway if you download the app. At 8:50am there was a line past the UPS store. However a Crumbl employee was very nice and began handing out cookies to us which we were thankful for. The cookie was still warm. I took it home. I cut the cookie into quarters and baked it in my toaster oven for a few minutes. Still too sweet and doughy. I'm not giving up on Crumbl yet. Why? Because I love cookies. Wow.. FINALLY.. a Crumbl cookie shop in San Francisco! Lots of angled parking (usually a bit crowded but doable) in the Lakeshore Shopping center off of Sloat boulevard near the intersection of Ocean Ave and Sunset Boulevards way out here on the West Side of town. Friendly service, lots of crew on hand for the soft opening tonight. The line went quickly and soon we were inside to place our order. Casual chain store vibe: clean and modern with a simple standardized tricolor aesthetic. The cookies were surprisingly great. We ordered the normal "larger" sized cookies as it seemed like a better deal. Our favorites were the Lemon-Blueberry Cheesecake "cookie" that was really more like a "personal size" of an actual cheesecake. It really could work for 2-3 people if they aren't too hungry! 10/10 as the flavors weren't overly sweet as one would expect of a chain cookie place. Our other favorite was the Strawberry Pretzel Pie cookie. Think fresh strawberry pie - it has a strawberry jam topping with small bits of strawberry over a light whipped cream topping on top of a buttery cookie. It was delightful too, especially with the added pretzel bits for a surprisingly welcome extra crunch and slightly savory twist! 9.5/10 P R O T I P S : 1) Skip the chocolate chip cookie.. it was no comparison to the other flavors. So there was about a half hour line outside, which I didn't mind waiting in. Unfortunately , they had told us after the line that they ran out :(. I knew Crumbl was opening at a location near me but didn't really care for it, since I lost my cravings for sweets when I got covid in 2021. My co-workers however seemed to go crazy about it! Happy that this location is located in the Lakeshore plaza on Sloat, as there is plenty of parking and errands to run around here. You can grab a pick-me-up when you're done! This place is small and more of a grab & go and not a place to sit. If you don't want to wait in line for your order, you can always pre-order on the app and get 'cookies' while you're at it. Love that Crumbl changes their flavors monthly, so you're not stuck with the same ole things. I decided to stop by after work to pick some up for my nurses for nurses week. If you decide to come after school hours like I did, you will encounter a bunch of high school kids and parents. Staff here are friendly but they seem to be overwhelmed packing orders. You can choose to get a big cookie (1000+ calories!) or mini ones (300-400+ calories) that are more bite-sized, and they have combo packs where you can buy a certain number at a lower cost. I love that the store also displays them by the register so you can take a look at what you're ordering. Between mini cookies & cakes, Crumbl's expanded their range of products beyond giant cookies. An employee (the owner, perhaps?) offered to take our order when he noticed the long line at the kiosks. We ordered a box of six for $24.99: -- Pineapple Whip: dead ringer for the Disneyland/Hawaii treat. A bit tart with that unmistakeable pineapple flavor. -- Chocolate Sea Salt Toffee: aside from the chewy texture, there was no distinct toffee taste. -- Biscoff Cake (+$1.49): tasted like the holidays with its spices. -- Strawberry Crumb Cake: the most interesting looking, very reminiscent of the Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Bar, however the flavor was too mild to be worth the calories. -- Milk Chocolate Chip: sad to say, I like it less & less with each order. -- Chocolate Mint Cake (+$1.49): similar to an Andes mint with its alternating layers.
