I ordered Ode to Pacifica, which is an Iced Taro White Chocolate Mocha. It's a bit sweet, but a very unique coffee that I haven't heard of elsewhere. In addition, I ordered a Banella Bagel, which is just a Nutella and Banana bagel. It's an item you can't go wrong with. The shop is in a cute red caboose, though quite small inside. Although they are small, they have lots of bites & drinks available to order. They have some dog treats for those who bring their dogs, since there's trails and lots of families residing nearby. Got takeout for my first order here! Lox bagel + Egg & Cheese bagel were perfect -- especially with mine not being overloaded with salmon. Bagels themselves were chewy with a crispy exterior (yess). Also ordered biscuits and gravy but the menu didn't specify that they were made with sausage so I thought it was a plain white gravy -- That was disappointing. The Arnold Palmer drink didn't have any hint of lemonade which was disappointing as well. Partner liked his black coffee but also got a Chai and thought "it was alright". We were leaving Pacifica and wanted a drink for the drive back. We decided to give this place a try. The coffee and tea shop is inside an old train car (which I just learned is called a caboose). They have seating alongside the caboose. They have a very extensive menu with a variety of drinks and some breakfast food items. It took a while to get our order since there was only two workers and the kitchen is quite small. We ordered the Red Velvet Mocha and Jordinator. This is a review for the boba tea drinks, which I use to frequently get here. They were always well balanced drinks and the boba was always cooked perfect. Last visit, I got an earl grey boba milk tea and my partner got a grapefruit boba black tea. My drink was purely oat milk with a slight floral note. My partner's tea was watered down. The boba was way over cooked to the point that it was almost goo, rather than chewy. I tried to pretend it was sippable mochi but we could barely finish our drinks. We found out there was a new owner which explained why the usual decor inside and out is all gone. It was nice that the patio was paved and there are new chairs, but I hope the drinks are also given the same attention and the baristas go through training to match what it used to be. I'll miss the previous charm with the original owners, but hope I can come back here in the future since I love Pacifica's vibe and food. read more

We came by on a Sunday morning and loved the place. Such a cute setting, quick and friendly service, and so many delicious food and drink options on the menu including empanadas, breakfast sandwiches, and green tea mojitos in various flavors. The black ginger tea and iced mocha were made to our liking. The pork bao was devoured quickly. And the pigs in a biscuit were yummy, but strangely missing the eggs which would have made it even better. There were a few outdoor tables and seating available for us to enjoy our meals. We came in on a rainy day for some coffee. This cafe is really cute. It's an old train car turned coffee shop. It's quite small inside and can't find too many people maybe 4 customers. No seating in there but I think there may be some outside when it's not raining. Menu is HUGE! They have coffee, smoothies, boba, breakfast sandwiches. The service there was friendly. Their iced coffees are served with coffee ice cubes so it won't get watered down. I ended up getting a hot oat milk latte and my husband got a cold oat milk latte. We stopped off here on Labor Day heading back to SF and it wasn't poppin', which is a good sign of course. We headed inside and quickly discovered that they probably expected no traffic today so there was just young woman doing the best she could managing everything. She was very gracious and polite and eventually we got our orders in and by that time two other folks showed up to help. We anticipated a wait so we checked out the antique shop next door and then waited, unfortunately for about 30 minutes, for two coffees and a breakfast bagel. I knew I was getting sugar nonsense when I got mine, which I enjoyed, along with my scone. B liked his mocha and breakfast bagel as well, but we were both disappointed by the wait. While there's no seating inside, there's a little patio next to the caboose with some well-loved chairs and tables available. I'd stop by again and try another drink and bagel, hoping we just caught them on a bad day. read more

What a nice little coffee and tea spot in Pacifica! I got to try out P-Town Coffee & Tea which is inside this little red caboose and it's a really unique choice for a coffee shop. The decor and the artwork inside is also so cool to look at while you wait for your drink. The service is also pretty friendly as well. You can tell the owners are also passionate about what they do. Parking is also a breeze and usually it's not busy. I ordered the Medium Chai Latte ($6.75). It also costs an extra $1 to add almond milk to the drink. I definitely regret getting a medium instead of a large because it feels like a better bang for your buck and also because I finished my drink within minutes with how good their chai latte was. They made the drink incredibly quick too. The chai didn't have an overwhelming amount of spice and had just the right amount of sweetness. It was a nice balance. The price is a little up there, but thats pretty standard for most coffee/tea shops nowadays and I would rather give that to a small local business instead of a big name chain. Coming from South San Francisco to this location is always fun with having to get past so many windy roads so it's always a nice adventure to get here and being so close to that Pacific Ocean breeze. Definitely worth returning in the future whenever I need some coffee or a chai latte. read more

Did a fairly intense Labor Day hike with a friend nearby and was craving a refreshing drink (and caffeine!) We stumbled upon P-Town coffee off the side of the road and were met with surprise for such a cute and quaint corner plaza! It was funny because my friend had mentioned they saw this location pop up on social media and had always meant to visit and we came here on pure coincidence. The coffee shop is located in a repurposed Caboose car and the inside is very cute! The menu offered a large variety of drinks (iced coffee, teas, boba, decaf, etc). I ordered an iced Lavender latte and the caffeine kicked in right away! My friend ordered the decaf rainbow drink (The blue and pink drink pictured) which I believe had a cotton candy flavor. Very sweet! We didn't end up ordering any food but they do offer bagels and sandwiches should you want a quick bite. Service was friendly and there were a couple of seating areas available along with plenty of parking! We had my dog with us and he was able to sit next to us very comfortably. 4/1/2023 - Date day on the first day of April. Drove by P-Town numerous times throughout the years and never thought to try it until today. What's the best way to describe it? P-Town is a visible/hidden gem. Just off from the freeway, sits a red/quirky/small/neighborhood coffee/pastry/sandwich/tea spot. Whether you're on your way to Half Moon Bay, returning from a hike, walking your fur-baby, or just in need for a little "pick me up," P-Town is just the spot for you. They offer plenty of parking spots with a cute little outdoor seating with mix-matching tables and chairs. Once you walk into the cafe, it felt like something out of an anime movie or something you can find in Japan. Nothing is Japanese inspired, but just the small space packed with menus hanging from left to right, made me think very Japanese-y. My goodness, SO MANY OPTIONS! I couldn't set my eyes anywhere. Felt a little overwhelmed and probably needed an extra 15 minutes to really go through every single items listed. But in the midst of it all, something caught my eyes: Luscious Cherry Mocha I had to try it and it was one of the best coffee I've ever had! That says a lot since I'm not much of a coffee drinker. After getting my drink, the guy working the counter offered free mini marshmallows that were displayed on the counter and of course I had to help myself to some! I absolutely loved these little touches and the friendly service. I also tried their bagel as they source it from a local bagel shop: David's Bagel Shop. It was crunchy and warm from the toast, chewy and fresh with every bite. I approve! This might be our new favorite coffee joint. Can't wait to tell others about it and try something new from their menu. Next time, I'll have to bring my fur-baby with us. read more

This place is one of my go-to spots when in Pacifica. I've been going here for years. The little caboose is always so cute no matter how many times I've been here. The lady who took our order was super nice and helpful. 1. It's not even my birthday_cake : so delicious, I added an extra shot because I needed the extra boost. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet with the white mocha and almond roca. 2. PB&J bagel - Who doesn't love PB&J? I like that it wasn't super messy. Peanut butter always tends to get everywhere, at least for me. 3. Peanut butter choco frappe - It was delicious. The peanut butter flavor is really strong, but when you mix it, it tastes like a Reese's. 4. The 56 - So tasty, they added an even amount of bacon pesto and cream cheese so all the flavors went well together. I don't believe there's anything that I've had here that I didn't like. The caboose is a little tiny, but they have plenty for you to look at. I also like that they sell tiny trinkets like earrings and stuff made by local vendors. read more

I created Yelp account JUST to write this review. I usually come in on weekends for my coffee and bagel - it's supposed to be my little Saturday treat. But this time? Absolutely unacceptable. I walk in, and the first thing I see is some guy lounging in the back with his AirPods in. I try to politely (!!!) let him know there's a hair - yes, a HAIR - in my bagel, and he completely ignores me. Just sitting there, zoning out to whatever Tick Tock is apparently more important than basic hygiene and customer service. Everyone else working had their hair tied up and looked professional, but this guy? Nope. Just sitting there like he owns the place, and not even acknowledging me while I'm holding a bagel with someone else's hair in it. Absolutely disgusting. Get it together. WON'T be coming back UNTIL this place remembers how to treat customers. read more

Cute place, I love the train caboose (which is a theme for Pacifica and half moon bay it seems!), and the folks are really nice here. We usually stop by different places for coffee around town before or after hikes. We decided to come here to try their boba after a hike today. I gotta say, I'm pretty spoiled by the boba offerings around the bay and this was just ok. I really prefer it when I could taste the tea, when real fruit is used, and when the tapioca is cooked just right (chewy and not disintegrating). I think this place is alright, and I'd come back here to try other things (like coffee) because the staff is just so incredibly nice. I will probably not get boba again though. read more

I picked the up the featured drink called "Ode to Pacifica" = Taro White Chocolate Mocha Such a good blend! And one of many cool and creative options. I was 100% satisfied, and it was perfect for a bit of a chilly day. I appreciated getting to watch the baristas make my drink. Nice to get asked if I wanted whipped cream or not, and they have a marshmallow jar to serve yourself It's such a niche spot. The boba that my company got was made with actual tea rather than boba powder. The garnish was very pretty too. They ordered peach / strawberry mojito teas that came with mint. This spot was sooo Pacifica with its local art on display (some for sale) and of course per Pacifica the location was dog friendly. Something not pictured is the TV they have up for you to enjoy if you stay inside to wait on your drink though the seating is really only outside. There are sort of bar/table counters up against the wall to lean on. Of the customers we saw coming in, it was actually a pretty diverse group so this speaks to the variety this location appeals to. Recommend especially for those who want to start the day before venturing around Pacifica Pier or Mori Point. read more

This place reminds me of an old Paramount studios lot prop where you can buy drinks and snacks, and it's absolutely genius. I always say support businesses that care about you as a customer and try their best, especially a small business like this one that's aces in my book. The staff is super cool and friendly and when I couldn't figure out where the milk and cream were for my coffee they politely and patiently showed me the mini refrigerator behind me which I'm sure they get asked about all-the-time; they are that nice! They have every kind if dairy free milk option you can think of including macadamia! Great coffee from a variety of differnt roasters and roasts and a great place to get snacks to fuel yourself up on while hiking or site seeing in Pacifica. It's a little noisy since we're right off the 1, but they've got wifi and supposedly a bathroom somewhere . I got "The Jo," iced americano with rose flavoring. 7-8$ for what I think is 20oz? I'm a fan of P-Town for both its coffee and its food. They have a nice assortment of tea, drip coffee, and espresso drinks as well as a few non caffeinated options. I also appreciate they carry a number of alternative milks - oat, coconut, soy, and almond. They also have a "secret" menu for both coffee, tea, and food that you can find on their website. Food wise, the menu isn't complicated but options are solid and they will customize things if you ask. The biscuits and gravy are a good option if you are looking for a heartier option - the gravy has a ton of pepper which makes it nice and flavorful. Aside from the 2 biscuit items, most other things are various bagels and toppings. I've been here a few times and the food was always consistently good as were the drinks I tried. The location is pretty cool too - it is literally a tiny caboose (200 ft apparently) that they operate out of. There's no seating inside but they do have a bunch of tables outside and even have a dog menu if you want to bring your dog. You can get delivery on DoorDash but I'd suggest checking them out and supporting them directly. Overall a nice spot for coffee, tea, smoothies, breakfast, and lunch so 5 stars from me. read more

P-Town is a great option if your passing by in need of a Caffeine boost or a light snack. Easy parking, a comforting beverage, an intimate space, and great staff are what you will find at P-Town. There are the normal coffee drinks , plus self serve options at ressonable prices here, my choice being a Peru roast that was wonderfully rich and welcome due to my early morning start. As for food they have a great mix of baked goods, plus bagels, with my options today being one Savory and one Sweet Croissant for Lunch. For me this was a welcome excursion on a beautiful Thursday Afternoon. If passing by this is a spot that I would take the time to patronize due to the good hearted and natured staff. read more

On our way to the beach we came across this little spot and decided to stop by on the way out of town the following day and I'm glad we did! It was a cute little train caboose turned into a coffee/boba spot and just one lady taking orders and making everything herself. It was kind of busy but she did awesome! We waited until everybody left and then ordered because there was four of us and we were going to get something to snack on as well. I got "the Jordanator" and I had tried to ask her if she could change one of the ingredients, but both of the ingredients were inside the syrup. So, I had decided to try the drink out anyways after she took our order multiple people started coming in and our order got pushed back a bit but it was understandable and honestly I was in no rush so about I wanna say 20/25 minutes maybe...? Went by and she brought over the drinks as she made them and put them in my tray for us. She did all this while she was making/taking the other orders i could tell she was slightly overwhelmed but still offered to remake my drink if I didn't like it. Which is the reason why I'm giving five stars it's easy to get really overwhelmed when you're working customer service, I get it. She kept her cool though and still wanted to remake my drink and I appreciate that. Most places don't even care to ask and her multitasking was on point. So, all in all an awesome little spot if you don't want to wait come back, give her a chance to get your stuff ready. If you do go take a seat outside don't stand there and watch her. That gives people anxiety you're not gonna get your drink any faster either. Lol Very good food and drinks you won't be disappointed. Sensational coffee, muffins & service! Old bright orange train car on the side of hwy 1. Picnic tables outside, lots of personality inside. Looks like a high quality spot! Even the coffee in the carafe looks great! I was super excited to try for the 1st time today! Can't believe I have passed this place for years! Shame on me! Checked out all the insane options online, there are a lot! Amazing amount of syrups, cool drinks and of course you can create your own too! I got an espresso con panna with a bit of cherry & mocha syrup, which was divine! Also the Jordanator was sweet yet still strong! Perfection! The muffin, 10 minutes before closing was fresh, crunchy from the streusel and moist! Customer service was fantastic, kind, knowledgeable, attentive and helpful. She was completely willing to make my espresso con panna with the syrup! Love love love! Only sad they close @ 3:30, so will only be able to frequent on weekends starting next week, back to work . I stopped in before work in the morning to grab a cold brew and a lox on a jalapeño bagel, but unfortunately, they were out of all three: lox, cold brew, and jalapeño bagels. Bit of a rough start. I pivoted and ordered a Flaming Bacon on a cheese bagel and looked around for a pastry for my lunch but there weren't any visible options. I also asked for a mocha frappe, but they were out of frappe powder too, which apparently is essential to making it. At that point, I just went with an iced matcha and my Flaming Bacon bagel. The employees were friendly and apologized for all the shortages, which I appreciated. They seem to be having problems with inventory since I was at this establishment about a month ago and they were also out of frappe powder back then. The barista let me know the matcha was a different brand than usual, and honestly, it tasted just like milk. I asked for a bit more matcha, but even after that, it still just tasted like milk now a pale green. I didn't want to seem rude and return it again, so I just left feeling kind of disappointed; drink in hand but not really satisfied. The bagel ended up being ok ingredients wise but it was tough to eat. Tasted pretty stale. The staff was super kind and clearly doing their best, It just feels like management needs to get a handle on keeping the basics in stock. There were so many options here! Pricing and size were all great and I'm so curious to try some of the other flavors offered. It seems that the frappes and coffees are more speciality for a fun sweet treat after a surf session. The strawberry smoothie was made from strawberry purée with some bits of fruit, syrup, and blended with half/half and ice. It had a great flavor but don't expect it to be a health drink.
