This place, never disappoints! No matter what I try, it is always delicious. I got guacamole, Horchata, and my entrée. The guacamole is always superb. I had these tacos for the first time and absolutely loved them because they were crunchy and had condiments already included. Service is always quick and friendly. This place is busy, especially on a taco Tuesday because their food is great! The weather was nice so there's indoor seating and outdoor seating. It may take a while to get seated because the restaurant is not that big, but it's always a friendly, bustling environment. I enjoyed my Horchata, but I wish that they would give refills on it, at least one.

Back for my 6 month check-up and yeppp the food is still amazing got the Tacos Dorados w/ queso again b/c they are my fave !!! ... we also got the a taco trio of steak, chicken & fish which were very flavorful.... All the windows were open to the outside which made it nice and breezy ... food arrived about 5 minutes after ordering!! .... Also tried all 4 salsa's the light green, and the red were my favorite of the four.

Had to review this restaurant again. I think it has the some of the best Mexican food in the area. The restaurant interior and exterior maybe unassuming but the food is packed with flavor and fresh. The prices are moderate. The staff are helpful and efficient. The blue corn quesadillas are perfect. Try the chips and salsa bar : the salsas are excellent.

Okay this place will blow your socks off! The food is absolutely delicious! The quality of the food is perfecto. I've traveled all over the US for work and visit many different restaurants. The steak for instance is quality meat and very tender. I'm traveling for work and here for a few weeks. I don't want to go anywhere else for lunch after eating here. The atmosphere is cool and relaxed. Great music and rustic vibes. All the servers are very kind and helpful. If you're wanting Mexican food, try this spot first. You wont be disappointed.

Really small and cute place, I loved how you could order and go sit down. And the service was pretty good as well. This places seems truly authentic! The chips, salsa, and guac were all so good. My favorite was the medium green salsa. The only thing I would ask for would be if the chips had more salt on them, but it was still so good. I also had the grilled fish tacos... good amount of spice, and the lime made it perfect! Would definitely go back.

Vegetarian mushrooms tacos were fantastic, perfect bite!

Great food! Vegetarian mushroom tacos were very well seasoned and the presentation was fantastic!

Have been a few times and the food is always good. The ingredients taste fresh and there is a nice variety of dishes on the menu. The tacos are good but I like the quesadillas and the tacos dorados best! Nice portion and love the blue corn tortilla! The guac is great and the salsas are super flavorful and add an extra punch to the food. I do wish that they had regular tortilla chips for the salsas and guac instead of tostadas but it certainly is not a dealbreaker! Service is good and the food has been consistent for dine in and take out!

We had friends stopping through on a road trip and we needed to find someplace to meet that was 1. Dog friendly 2. Baby friendly 3. Dairy-free friendly and 4. Delicious! I'm so glad I thought of Mazunte because it's absolutely perfect for all of the above! The patio seating is extensive and covered, which was good on a day with scattered showers. We easily found a table four our party of 4 (plus dog and baby) and the food was out within 1 mins of our order. There's limited seating inside, and it's been busy each time I'm costed, so being open to an outside seat is a good idea- the beautiful plants and shave help sweeten the deal! Now for the food- I absolutely love their empanadas, enchiladas, and chile rellenos. This time I tried the tacos and I loved that you can mix any flavor in an order of 3 because I couldn't decide. I got 1 fish taco, one chicken taco, and one veggie taco. Each had such a unique flavor profile and the sauces/salsas/slaws are so fresh. I ordered one without the cheese it came with and the other 2 were naturally dairy-free, and I didn't miss the dairy at all because they were so flavorful. Finally- definitely get the chips and salsa bar. It's unlimited so your whole table can go back again and refill the fresh chips and 4 different kinds of salsa. One of the best deals for apps in the city! I absolutely love Mazunte and will be back again and again.

Haven't been in forever as remote and live 20 miles away. Went into office today, and said, hey, let me go back. Still busy as ever which means, delicious. The verde is everything just like I remembered it. You can get it at Kroger but just not the same. Their red one, can't remember but was middle spice for better over time. Friendly staff and packed inside, just like I remember. Try everything! Never a bad meal

Mazuntes has the best food! I moved away from the area and make sure every time I'm in town I eat here! Nothing compares to their tacos dorados!

Authentic and good Mexican! The tacos were absolutely delicious. My dad ordered the steak tacos and he said that he would order them again! I ordered the pork tacos which were fabulous. The queso was creamy and arguably the best part of the meal. You order at the counter, and the food is brought out to your table. It came out quickly, even though the place was packed for a Wednesday night. Luckily, we were able to grab a table inside. We visited during the summer, and while the restaurant does have AC, it was still a bit warm inside. Overall, we really enjoyed both the food and the experience. Would absolutely go back!

Ask the Community - Mazunte Taqueria

Do they allow smoking in their outdoor dining area?

We have not allowed smoking in the outdoor dining area as the dining area has been extended down the front of the building in front of the other tenants of the building. The tenants have allowed this but have not agreed to allow smoking as it would…

Do they have coffee on sundays for brunch?

Yes we do. Just ask the cashier. They’ll make you a fresh pot if there is none already brewed. Hope to see you soon amigo.

What's the parking situation?

It's limited so at peak hours it can be tough to find a spot.

It was so substantial that I only made it through half. I enjoyed it with chorizo, but for a modest surcharge, they will make it with brisket! The Al Pastor Hash was the standout. It was beautifully balanced, full of bold, authentic flavors, and expertly prepared. One of my brunch-mates spends much of the year traveling through Latin America, and he was genuinely impressed. Excellent food, generous portions, and a memorable brunch experience. We'll definitely be back and look forward to trying more of the menu! Attentive service and a beautiful location in Downtown Cincinnati's quiet Pendleton neighborhood made the morning perfect.

I didn't think I'd find something that could compete with Bakersfield but this does. It has unique flare without being over the top like some places can. Like pairing pickled veggies with my shrimp? Yes please! Ceviche was a little on the smaller side. Its flavor was there but price to size wasn't worth it to me. Recommend the grilled esquites as a side. I can't NOT get the charro beans because they were addicting. I could live on them in the winter. Tacos were so ed how you'd expect with homemade corn tortillas. Delicious, but I'd say Bakersfield pulls ahead just a touch with the tacos. Camerones Saadi's was delicious! I'd get it again, but still want to try some of their other mains. I did try dessert. Mind you I'm not huge on tres leches as it is so it might not be surprising that it wasn't my favorite. It was a tad on the drier side and textured (this was coconut tres leches so probably where the texture came from). I'd skip dessert the next go round maybe, unless they had some other fun seasonal things to try. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails as well! Especially the mezcal-based ones.

Some things are out of your control, but still I would've enjoyed my food more if I could have sat and ate it. This place feels a little light a hole in the wall in downtown Cincinnati. It does not have lots of tables, it is unassuming on the outside, and the menu is simple. We were drawn to it, even with the long lines because of all of the game goers. Considering its size and the line, we did not wait an unreasonable amount of time to order and then receive our food. Everyone orders at the counter so you have to go through one at a time and wait for everyone before you to decide their orders. The food is then called out and you have to go get it. This system probably helped our situation and made things move faster. I got their signature turtle, which is basically a large crunch wrap, with chicken served southwest style. It was awesome but very large! We were going out after and did not want to carry leftover boxes, so I ate it all and kind of regretted it after. But I simply could not stop cause the food was so good! The prices are also fair and they have plenty of beer and cocktails to offer from their bar. I would love to come back here on a quieter night so we can sit and enjoy the food wholly, perhaps with a beverage as well.
