This is an underrated restaurant. If you're in the area and want a good Tex-Mex style meal I recommend this place. We found it on Yelp and weren't disappointed. Nice homemade salsa (has a little heat) and chips to get us started. We ordered the Carne Asada which was very tasty, served with rice (long grain, maybe basmati) and refried beans. We also had the Camarones al Ajillo. A very generous portion of garlicky shrimp, probably a dozen of them served with rice, beans and salad. Prices are competitive and service was attentive. By the time we left they were packed by mostly Latino customers which is a great endorsement! Go there. read more

The food is more like 4/5 but the portion and price are great esp during this inflation. We've ordered thru UberEats and visited the restaurant once. If you're in the restaurant, you will see a lot of Hispanics people so that's always a good signal for a good Mexican restaurant. Highly recommend any grilled plates (including fajitas) and fried tilapia. However, we don't recommend the plates with cheese; it is a bit greasy. The service is good. read more

WOW!!!! This place was great for lunch fajitas. The chips and salsa are top notch and plenty of salsa. The portion for lunch was great and got me 2 full meals out of it. I saw a lot of Mexicans eating there which is good. This place is very authentic, the check even said Cena in. I will say the server did a lousy job and was essentially zombie like but the food was too good to hurt the review. I just tipped a little less than usual. This place may be a little unassuming on the outside but they definitely have the best Mexican food we've ever had! We probably had to wait about 15 mins for our food which we thought was fairly decent considering there was already a big family there (they took up pretty much all of the center tables; only the booths were available) waiting for their order. Some of the best tacos in the whole Cincinnati area, pastor is fresh and served with pineapple! I love chicharrón en salsa ( but it may not be for everyone) really authentic food and most importantly FRESH! It is a small place and gets busy at lunch time But you can call and order ahead. read more

*** Great Food for a great price *** The food was amazing real basic food nothing fancy just great Mexican food. The seating is cozy because there are only about 8 tables but the food is out of the world. I had the Torrta sandwich which was breaded chicken, lettuce, avocado & tomatoes. Again real simple and basic but it all works together to create a magical flavor explosion in your mouth that will haunt you for days. I am getting hungry just thinking about it. The langua and pastor were both exactly what i require out of a good taqeria. perfectly prepared, flavor filled and delicious.The service left nothing to be desired. very helpful staff. The price. $2 per taco is absolutely worth every penny and then some! The bad: The chicharones, I did not like but it may be a personal preference. I prefer them to be fries and they tasted soft and mushy like they were steamed. The ugly: I asked for a side of beans. I was brought a plate with pale sickly looking refried pinto beans with a dusting of shredded white cheese and a pile of thick flavorless yellow rice. no flavor in either and really did not match up with the rest of the meal. I'll pass on these next time and just get more tacos! Previously mentioned bad chips. Went back and they were fine. read more

Just tried this place out for the first time. Based on the reviews, I was expecting a positive experience, however I was quickly disappointed. Every meal was with filled with rubbery string cheese, the side of rice was hard and crunchy, the carnitas were very dry and tasteless. There was no seasoning on the shrimp and the lettuce and tomatoes were cooked inside of the burrito..... they also charge for extra table salsa. However, I am always up for giving a restaurant a second chance. I am aware that they just moved into an old Arby's location so maybe they were still trying to get the hang of things. read more

This place was very good. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so I imagine it could get busy very quickly, but the server that was there was efficient. I ordered one taco and one torta (both carne asada). The taco was only $2 and came with a lot of meat. I could have eaten two of those and been full. The same story with the torta. The torta that they serve here was one of the biggest tortas I have ever seen. I was pleasantly surprised. I could eat only one half. Both of these items and my food was less than $10. I was thrilled when the former business transformed from a taco shop into another taco shop. Unfortunately, I was not thrilled with the food or service. The server tried to rush us through our order, threw our food down like she was feeding a dog (I'm not one), and was generally disinterested in providing any level of service or basic courtesy. The food was blah, and reminded me of all the garbage Mexican restaurants like Cantina this or El Rancho that. Today, I had a chimichanga and ordered it with "meat" (pork) instead of chicken (ha ha - the menu is charming, too). Excellent and huge for $6.99 with creamy queso fresco (sp?), big hunks of yummy, not-too-salty and tender but not stewed carnitas/pork. Lots of salsa selection, too - two or three of them home-made. The stuff that is boring at the chains (like a chimi or a simple burrito) is delicious here. I had the hominy soup last time - it was excellent. I see a few people griping about the "pale" beans ... are you kidding? They are actually beans - not some nasty mush from a can. Alas, Dinastia Latina is no more. But Mi Ranchito is an excellent replacement!! Very very affordable. Tortas look delicious, and the $2 tacos are generously filled with lots of meat. Went here after a walk because it is so close to Sharon Woods. We almost missed it because the sign did not say Mi Ranchito. It is in the same plaza as the Indian restaurant Brij Mohan just on the opposite end. We had tacos and enchiladas. The food was very fresh and I would definitely return. I have been to this restaurant at 3 different locations so far. They are an authentic Mexican restaurant, but yet they speak English. The new location is bigger, a reallocated fast food place. It's not fancy. But....food is awesome. The lunch specials are a good filling size. I have only had the burrito, because it's so good I can't seem to try anything else. Make sure you get some of the homemade sauce. They do seem to be slightly understaffed, so make sure you have enough time. read more

This teeny little place is so charming, friendly, great food, cheap, huge portions, open at 9 am for those times when you NEED a big Mexican breakfast. Here are always lots of specials in addition to the regular menu. On this cold winter day there was parillada (barbecue), atole de arena ( a creamy hot drink with oatmeal and cinnamon), and champurrado (Mexican hot chocolate). Use to love this place.. since the original girl "server" left the service sucks. I have to beg for chips and salsa which comes out at the end of my meal with stale chips.
