Coffee barista
Rhondi S.

We came here for a private event, so the cafe was closed but they still had their barista on staff for us. Great coffee and chai lattes, nice interior for our party of 30. Parking sucks, only 3-4 spots up front and the adjacent parking garage is for private tenants only, so you only have street parking surrounding the cafe which there were no spots.

This has became one of my favorite coffee shops to go to! I definitely recommend the Nacho Libre if you want a good boost of caffeine! The place is very nice and cute, definitely a good place to study!

Decided to stop by on my way to work. I was actually pretty surprised that there weren't a lot of people. The place is super inviting and spacious. The barista that helped me was so sweet and I decided to take her recommendation. Definitely gonna come back to check out all the other lattes that they have on the menu!

There's a lot of intention put into the decor at Maz. Cute chairs, cute lights. The service was stellar - think that was the best part of my experience there. I prefer a more flavorful matcha powder, but the drink satisfied my cravings that morning. Thanks, Maz!

A lovely coffee shop with such cute interior! You place orders yourself onto the screen upon arrival which has a variety of drinks to choose from. I tried the Horchata Latte which was a little too sweet for my liking but it was good! I think you can adjust the sweetness upon ordering. There is an array of Taurani syrups which they use for their drinks. It wasn't busy at all when I went which allowed me to get in some work done. There are a few outlets available and wifi is available to guests. Restroom is also available and it is super clean! Parking was easy for me since it was slow. There were signs of 2 hour parking limit outside of the structure but Im sure if you can find street parking you can stay for longer.

Stopped by to the coffee shop after an early game for some cafe de olla. The place is cute and welcoming. There were kids hanging out but I assume it's the owners kids since they kept to themselves and were very quiet. Also, noticed it's a great place for students since there was one person studying. It was not busy but they do take some time to make the drinks. We waited maybe 10mins? And it was just two drinks and no lines nor other people waiting. Doesn't seem busy but then again it was on a Sunday at around 9/10am ? The service was great. They were sweet and helpful ladies. They drinks were good just as described on the menu. You can self order or they help you to order on a screen. Overall, I would go back it's a great place and I noticed that they also rent out the place for private events.

I've had this coffee before but it was my first time visiting their storefront. This coffee shop is so spacious and beautifully decorated! There is a self ordering kiosk which was really easy to navigate. I ordered the maz latte which is mazapan. It is always so delicious! There is only street parking but the shop is not located on a main street so it isn't too bad.

Abuelita Latte

Looking for hispanic-inspired drinks? Well then this is the spot to try! Abuelita Latte: I wanted to try something new and was told this drink was one of the three top sellers. It's an iced mocha latte combined with cinnamon. As someone who enjoys sweet coffee I didn't make any adjustments and thought it was perfect. The mocha was rich and there was a good amount of cinnamon without it feeling overpowering. The smallest size came out to $6.42 which I thought was slightly on the pricier side. The service was top notch! The two ladies working were welcoming and since it was my first time there they gave me a run down of the menu! My drink was delivered to me while I was studying at one of the tables. For ordering, they can either take your order or there is a self serve kiosk. My drink came out fairly fast! There is plenty of seating, free password protected wifi, and the ac was blasting (bring a jacket if you get cold easily). There is a parking structure but street parking was easier. Come support this family's cafe if you're looking for decent drinks and open tables to study! Cheers!

Love this spot! Perfect to have coffee and hang. Located in Santa Ana this coffee spot has some fun drinks! I got the mazapan latte and really loved it! They also have a lot of insta worthy props for you to take pics, while there, the service was great and will for sure come again soon!

Currently making my way thru cafes in the area. This one is a win for me ! There are a decent number of tables, but outlets are somewhat sparse. I had the maz latte which was perfectly sweet and had bits of mazepan which was yummy. There's wifi, is relatively low volume, and there's a booth like seating in the corner which is a personal fav. Parking is sparse, but not impossible on a weekday

What a gem This cafe has been on my list for so long and so finally I made the decision to add it in my day. You just gotta do that sometimes in life! Make time for the things you want! So glad I got to go during a time that I had the cafe to myself I got to take it all in and enjoy Reese and my latte Not only is it super comfy and their barista Beverly was super sweet and so nice to talk to but their famous MAZ latte was magic in my mouth. Ambiance is magical! Definitely a place you can get comfy!

Cute place to chat, and meet your girlfriends, would highly recommend if you like coffee drinks! I came for a light brunch with my friend, and we shared the choriqueso fondue, which was delicious, and ordered the caramel macchiato and tres leches latte! Staff was also VERY nice!

Galleta María Latte
Aransazu C.

The latte was too milky for me and very sweet. The idea of adding galleta maria is unique but it just tasted like grainy milk. The mazapán latte was better though !

Ask the Community - Maz Café

Can the hot coffee beverages also be served in ceramic cups, if we dine in?

Do you have any decaf option for coffee?

Yes! We can make any of the lattes decaf and if you want an iced coffee/house blend, we also can make a decaf americano as an alternative.

I saved mine for later and they still held up really well. Not sure if I'd come back specifically for the matcha, but I'd probably try their coffee next time since that seemed to be what most people were ordering. Cute spot and good pastries, but the viral hype set my expectations a little too high

There were about 3 people ahead of me in line and a few waiting for drinks, but I was able to order and get my drink in around 10 minutes. Staff was very friendly and checked in with us while waiting in line! I ordered the Matcha Two, which comes as a matcha latte topped with salted matcha vanilla cream foam. The foam was velvety and creamy. The matcha had a smooth, earthy flavor with subtle sweetness. Oatmilk was the default choice, and while I usually think oatmilk can overpower matcha, it worked well in this drink. It is a little pricey for 1 drink, but that also seems to be the norm these days for specialty drinks. This is more of a grab-and-go spot than a place to hang out. There's no seating, just a bench inside, and everyone waited outside since the interior is on the smaller side. Parking was easy when I went. Overall, a pleasant experience for a yummy matcha drink, and I'd definitely come back to try more of their matcha menu!

I love a good Blueberry Matcha, so I knew I had to try one. The matcha latte has oat milk and their house blueberry puree. I really enjoyed it! They also have their Matcha Lattes "One," "Two," and "Three." We opted for the Matcha Three which includes salted matcha vanilla ice cream and matcha sorbet, oat milk, and house vanilla syrup. It was pretty good! Lastly, we got the Coconut Pandan Green Rice drink which sounded unique! It's ice blended with coconut cream, pandan coconut rice, and condensed milk. It's a thicker drink with more texture from the rice. I'll be back!

Service was average. Expect to wait about 10 minutes with average customer volume as they spend more time of curating each drink. 4/5 largely based on coffee as I feel the customer experience can be improved. One piece of feedback is that the menu should be reorganized. There are espresso drinks on several of the menu panels but then one space specifically that is titled espresso drinks which would imply the others don't have espresso. For example, the house specialties are listed on a completely separate panel as the espresso drinks, would've like to order one of those had I known they were offered. Essentially you have to read the whole menu with the way it's currently organized you can't just search for tea or coffee sections or you'll likely miss something Importantly you can't study or work here. They intentionally don't have wifi or outlets available to foster a different customer experience. Many of the clientele were reading or knitting which was pleasant. While I support this, it's not made know to customers by signs or anything - you would have to look on Yelp beforehand to know. In addition, I've been to other Kean branches that offered wifi so unless this is a new policy or the branches are owned independently it's important to make customers aware they can't expect the internet at this location in particular. I was caught off guard and had to leave immediately as I needed wifi at the time which was unfortunate. Seats about 25 inside, patio also available. Bathroom under lock and key. Parking is in l shopping center, no issues.
