I don't write many reviews, but The Curve Cafe absolutely deserves the recognition…read more I schedule my visits around their Crab Cake Eggs Benedict because it's that good. Since it's a special and not always on the menu, I make a point to go whenever it's available. Every single time, it's been perfectly prepared and incredibly consistent. The crab cakes are delicious, the eggs are cooked just right, and the hollandaise sauce is hands down the best I've had in Michiana--even compared to some of the upscale restaurants that charge a lot more for food that doesn't come close. What really sets The Curve Cafe apart is Alex. As the owner, she's the heart and soul of the place, greeting and serving guests while making everyone feel welcome. Her passion for great food and hospitality shines through in every part of the experience. They also serve fantastic mimosas and Bloody Marys, and their Friday fish fry is another local favorite that's well worth checking out. In all the times I've eaten here, I've never had a bad meal. The food is consistently excellent, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and it's exactly the kind of locally owned restaurant our community should be proud to support. If I could convince Alex to franchise this place, I would in a heartbeat. The rest of Indiana deserves to know just how amazing The Curve Cafe is. Five stars without a doubt!

Other items I've tried have been good as well. Great portion sizes too. There's a good amount of space inside. Plenty of outdoor tables too. Get here early if you can on the weekends. Otherwise, you're waiting a stretch, based on the crowds outside. Now for the complaint. Service. Not rude or impersonal. Just inattentive. I should not have to ask for any coffee or water refills. Doesn't matter to me which restaurant or where. This place simply cannot seem to get that. Today I was in. My server, while very nice, literally set the coffee pot on the table to serve my meal. Then turned and walked off. I had about a quarter cup of coffee. Had to ask for the refill. This seems to be the practice here, based on my experiences.
