If I could give this place negative stars, I would. It has been a week since my wedding, and I am still devastated by the experience I had with this bridal shop and the disaster of a dress they delivered. From the very beginning, there were red flags. The dress arrived over a month later than promised, and no updates were given without me asking several times, adding unnecessary stress to an already overwhelming process. When I placed the order, I was told I would receive a sketch of the custom dress and be kept updated on its progress. That never happened. There was absolutely no communication until the dress arrived -- and even then, it was nothing like what I expected. Despite taking my measurements, they made no effort to tailor the gown to fit me. I came in four separate times for alterations, and at each visit, it was clear the dress had not been properly adjusted. Even by my final visit -- the day before I had to leave for my wedding -- the dress was still unfinished. They rushed the final changes at the last minute and did a sloppy job. I had tried the dress on with my wedding shoes several times, and yet it was still too long, causing me to trip all night and it just looked so unprofessional and embarrassing. The people around me trying to help were shocked that this was a custom dress and was still overflowing on the ground and impossible to walk in. I ordered a long-sleeve gown, but it inexplicably arrived strapless, and the staff had to create and attach the sleeves themselves. I asked Nelly multiple times whether the sleeves were strong and secure -- she reassured me they were. At the final fitting, they didnt want me to try the dress on with the finished alterations. And then, within 10 minutes of putting it on on my wedding day, the sleeves ripped. I had my wedding photos with ripped sleeves. I was in tears, calling Nelly, and she responded with confusion and zero support. Everyone around me was shocked that one tiny thread was holding the sleeves on. Mayana Bridals poor dress quality ruined all my wedding photos. To make matters worse, the straps were designed with beads sewn directly on the inside, which should never happen. By the end of the night, I had bleeding cuts and scabs on my shoulders. The lack of care and expertise was not only unprofessional -- it was physically painful. Nelly was nice up until payment was made. After that, she became rude, dismissive, and aggressive, making the process even more stressful. For the price we paid, the quality of this dress was absolutely unacceptable. To receive a gown that was unfinished, ill-fitting, painfully designed, and literally falling apart before I even walked down the aisle is beyond outrageous. As a bride, you expect the dress to be the least of your worries on your big day. Instead, it caused me emotional distress, physical pain, and embarrassment. This is not just poor service--it's deeply unprofessional and incompetent. I would strongly urge anyone considering this place to look elsewhere. Nelly at Mayans Bridal was absolutely incredible truly beyond words. My wedding dress ended up being the most beautiful dress I have ever seen. I originally chose a dress in September and placed a deposit. Then, just two months before my wedding, when I was supposed to pick it up, I made the very stressful decision to completely change the dress. Nelly was so gracious, patient, and accommodating. She immediately took action and handled everything without hesitation. I changed everything the corset, the skirt of the dress, removed beads, added different beads it became a completely new gown. With only 45 days until my wedding, I was extremely stressed, but Nelly truly pulled off a miracle. She made sure the dress arrived in time for alterations and the bustle, and it was absolutely flawless. The final result was the most stunning dress I've ever seen. In search of the perfect bridal gown for my sister in law, we decided to stop by Mayana bridal after few other bridal boutiques. This store was it! SIL was able to try on few gowns and custom design exactly what she wanted. The result was breathtaking. Everything she ever imagined. The fit, the fabric, the details of the design. I also had my dress custom made here for my brother's wedding. They were able to make exactly what I wanted. Now I have to say, the dresses were ready the week of the wedding, which made us very nervous. However in the end they delivered all that they promised and more. The service was extremely unprofessional, the prices were unreasonably high, and the quality of the clothing was very poor. Despite claiming their dresses come from Lebanon or Dubai, this was not the case. They overcharged us and refused to refund us for a second dress, offering store credit instead--something we'll never use because we won't be returning. I visited about 6-7 bridal boutiques all around LA County, and to my surprise, this was the only store that did not have dresses on display for the bride to browse through herself. Nelly came to our house did what needed to be done and asked for the remaining balance of 2k. I, myself, did not allow my mom or sister to send the 2k to her because it was not deserved for the work and the attitude! Nelly was aggressive and arguing instead of simply apologizing for putting my sister through emotional hell for 2 weeks. So please don't respond with lies to save face! A 2000$ discount WAS NEVER OFFERED! I've said what needed to be said to the owner in person but a review is necessary for everything my sister went through emotionally throughout her journey with Mayana Bridals upon receiving her dress. From the start, my sister trusted your business with one of the most important aspects of my her wedding: her dress. Promises made to fulfill her ideas to the fullest with high end silk materials that are supposedly received from overseas (Beruit/Dubai). Unfortunately, this promise was not fulfilled, and what followed caused significant stress, disappointment, and disruption during what should have been a joyful and memorable time. Upon initial fitting, the design was nothing like what had been discussed and agreed upon. It was poorly executed and required a complete redesign to a far simpler version, compromising my sister's original vision entirely. Even then, the dress was not ready on time. By Thursday, just two days before the wedding, the dress was still unfinished and ill-fitting. On Friday, the day before the wedding, the zipper was not functioning, and the seamstresses were still sewing the dress while my sister & I waited for her to try on the dress. To add to the frustration, the dress was visibly dirty and wrinkled. Still not ready by 5pm Friday night, she had to leave without her dress and hope for it to be done & delivered to our house before the next morning. Although your team offered to steam and clean the dress and deliver it to our home that evening, it did not arrive until 9:30 PM, far too late the night before a wedding to still be dealing with these issues. The most upsetting part occurred on the morning of the wedding. While helping my sister into the dress (with 2 people and how they showed me to zip her up) the zipper completely burst open. With no choice left, my mom and aunt had to sew her into her gown causing unnecessary emotional stress and panic on what should have been a calm and beautiful start to her day. The entire experience was not only unprofessional but completely unacceptable for a service of this importance and cost. A wedding dress is not just a piece of clothing, it's a significant part of one's most memorable day, and your mishandling of this process ruined what should have been a joyful moment for my sister. The amount of stress it caused her for 2 weeks and on her wedding day was unbelievable. If I could leave zero stars, trust me I would. To anyone looking for a wedding dress I would highly recommend not coming here and looking for other options. We had an extremely disappointing experience here. The establishment was disorganized, unprofessional, and far below acceptable standards in both cleanliness and customer service. We were misled about the exclusivity of a dress--assured that no one else in our community had purchased it--only to later discover that this was untrue. On top of that, there appeared to be unexplained markups on the price compared to what the other bride purchased we spent 20k on a 10k dress they dont have prices on there dresses they just throw numbers around which felt exploitative Allegedly, similar experiences have happened to others, suggesting a troubling pattern. Based on how we were treated, we cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone. If zero stars were an option, that's what we would give. Being a first time bride, not knowing what you want was very stressful. On our first appointment Nelly was lovely. Even though I didn't know what I wanted, I was very clear on what I didn't want. She understood me and I fell in love with the 1st dress. Went the next day with my mother in law and sister in law to see it. We all loved it. Until then Nelly was very responsive. I paid almost 90% of the dress the day I said yes. Didn't hear from her until Mid-May when she messaged me for pictures of me in my dress. I kinda panicked, but looked at my contract and it said June. Fast forward to June 3rd I messaged her asking for status of my dress. No response. June 5th again messaged her. Again no response. On June 7th, Saturday morning she calls me that my dress is ready, that I am able to go for a fitting that weekend. I called her back and messaged within 2 hours that we were available the next day so we can coordinate with a time. Unfortunately no response. Tuesday June 10th I messaged her again if I can go to my dress fitting on Sunday. She responded with either Wednesday or Friday. I reminded her I live in San Diego, therefore I wouldn't be able to attend. No response from her. Saturday, June 14 I messaged her again. No response from her until Sunday at 10am (father's day) shes available at 12pm. I had to drop my plans and go to my dress fitting since it was so hard to get a hold of her. This kept going on until I picked up my dress. The unresponsiveness gave me so much anxiety. Please be more responsive as I wouldn't want another bride to feel how I felt. read more

I am unsure of where to start in describing the negative experience I had shopping at Mayana Bridal. Initially, the staff there seemed nice and courteous. However, after buying my gown, they informed me it would be ready by the end of April or the beginning of May. When I tried to reach out to inquire about the gown, they avoided my calls. Eventually, I received a late-night text asking which gown I purchased, leaving me frustrated and puzzled. They lack absolutely professionalism!!!!!!!!! I bought my dress in early February to ensure it would be ready by May. When I received it in May, I was disappointed with the service I received while trying it on. They did not assist me with putting on shoes, and it felt like they were rushing me to leave once I had the dress on. The veil I received was not steamed, so I had to take it elsewhere to get it steamed at my own expense. The only alteration needed was adding straps to the gown. The seamstress attached the straps so that I could wear them either hanging off my shoulders or over them. However, on my wedding day, the straps kept falling off and I had to take them off at the reception to dance. The mesh fabric on my veil was poorly cut, making it look like the pearls and stones were randomly placed on uneven fabric. I hope that future brides do not find out about this store, so they can avoid having a similar negative experience while shopping for their wedding gown. read more

By far the biggest mistake I made with my wedding was walking into Mayana Bridals on December 3rd. We came across the store by accident, which I took as a sign, but instead I proceeded to miss all of the signs pointing to this place being a hellhole and cause of much anguish. As I awaited my turn at the store, a girl was picking up her dress the day before her wedding (a theme you will witness if you spend more than 30 min in this shop). She tried to warn me but I ignored it and instead believed the sales woman who promised me a dress, tiara, a veil and unlimited tailoring. The day I purchased my dress, the saleswoman said they had a special so the tiara would come with it and I would have an array of options when the shipment arrived in a month but this was a lie. I called in January but she said they had not arrived yet and I should call back end of February. February came then May and they still didn't have them. I followed up again end of May and she sent me 7 pictures of black looking tiaras and she said these were the only ones they were getting and they would not have them for me to try on until June. At the end I got stuck with a tiara that in their own words did not match my dress because the lied about having an array of tiaras for me to pick from. As for my dress, the owner said in my contract she had to put first week of May but since I was ordering it so early it would for sure arrive earlier than that but this was a lie. My dress did not arrive until the very end of May. There were many issues with the dress and each time I went to the fitting she would promise to have it corrected but instead she would get annoyed at anyone pointing out issues with the dress. For example, she added straps that cut into my skin and she said there was nothing she could do about it until my own mother in law suggested adding clear bras straps under it to prevent the fabric from rubbing against my skin. There were multiple other issues for example with removable sleeves that looked like a kindergartner had glued it together. By far the worst part was the over skirt that I recall asking her multiple times if the tiny thread could really hold it together and which she made fun of me for imagining the thread could ever break. Well it did, at the very start of my wedding... By far the worst job was done on the veil. I had asked about the veil multiple times but each time she said it would be ready at the next fitting. At my last fitting, the one the day before my wedding, she gave me a veil that was hard to even hold up with on hand let along wear on your head. I asked her if we could make it shorter and she handed my scissors saying I could cut the beading from the bottom. I looked at her dumbfounded. I was not a semstresss, how can she expect me to cut it straight. She then laid it on the floor of the store and said "okay I'll just cut it". I begged her to stop asking why we couldn't just take of the stitching of some of the beading and she said this was what she got. I left the store crying and went to my own seamstress. It was then that Mayana had glue gunned most of the heading onto the veil like a child playing with macaroni and paste. The weight of the veil came from all of the glue and there was no way to remove the glue. I have likely blocked a lot of other dark memories from my experience at Mayana but to this day, I would not wish this experience or this store on my worst enemy. They don't even deserve one star.
