Been going here for years now, this is one of the better kept parks I visit with my dog. Its not usually to crowded and most people abide by the rules and are friendly. My only gripe is the guy they hired to pick up the forgotten waste around the park. He's super opinionated, which in itself is fine . Except that he drags people into his long winded political rants. Usually glorifying Elon Musk and Trump. He loudly talks smack on anyone who is not a supporter as "idiots " ect..ect .. Like I just want to chill and not think about politics at the dog park. Can you maybe just talk at a normal volume with your friends about this instead of shouting at the park? Usually when I see him I keep my distance and just ignore him but it sucks that I have to do that everytime Most the people he's talking to look uncomfortable and just want to walk away Anyways besides that, I do love coming here and am happy with the cleanliness of the park read more

Park is spacious but the only downside is some of these dog owners. I've seen some owners let their dog off leash OUTSIDE the park. We walk by here a ton of times and this one time another dog tried to attack our corgi. My fiancé had to pick up our dog to get him away from the aggressive dog and he was bit in the hand in the process. Owner didn't even apologize and took him forever to grab his dog. Everyone please be aware when coming here. This is not the first time some dog off leash tried to attack our little one. If you can't train or keep a close eye on your dog then you shouldn't be owning one. read more

Pretty poorly maintained with disrespectful dog owners who don't pick up after their dogs. Several guys just standing around talking for each other while watching their dogs poop, none of them went to pick up after their dog a single time. One acted like he was going to and said "Oh, she didn't even poop?" after I watched him watch the dog poop. I stepped in a giant pile of poop after trying to walk around other piles of poop like landmines. Dogs were filthy afterward. More poop-friendly than pup-friendly. read more

It was my first time taking my dog to this park. There is a small and large dog park separated. The ground is all dirt and barely any grass. I took my dog to the small park. My dog was approached by a frenchie and wasn't interested in playing with that dog. And that frenchie continued being aggressive to my dog. The owner was watching and didn't bother to separate his dog from mine. The frenchie ended up biting part of my dogs fur off. The owner did not apologize at all and just carried his dog away. I ended up leaving right away. I was disappointed that people aren't responsible for their own dogs. Please be careful of aggressive dogs! read more

I've been coming to this park since it opened. And over time you can tell it has not been kept up because the grass is very spotty now. It wasn't my favorite because I don't like all the dirt even though it's good for the dogs to run on they end up getting much more dirtier than any other place that would have grass. Also there's two sections in the small dog area that had big dips and the dogs would run in but because there was no drainage when it rains they filled them with jagged small rocks. Now I see most dogs don't go in those areas because I think the rocks hurt their paws. I think the idea of the park is good enough but over the years you can tell it's been suffering in maintenance. I prefer La Palma dog park 10 minutes away because it's mostly grass and it's bigger. read more

Not only for the appearance, but also the owners and the dogs behavior. Until, we came here, Maxwell Dog Park. - Plenty of parking, free - Well maintained property - Decent size large dog area, the biggest I have seen in Anaheim so far (my favorite is the Laguna Canyon Dog Park due to size) - Hidden, not on a main street - Owners are kind and their dogs are not aggressive - Obstacle activities for the dogs - Good amount of trees for shade This place is definitely my go-to Dog Park in Anaheim. We love it here for Nova. The only thing that REALLY sucks is people do NOT pick up after their dogs. SMH. Every time we go, I have me and my family grab 2 poop bags and pick up two pieces of poop each person UNLESS one of us gets your dog's massive poop !! That counts as one lol The people here are nice but I wish they would get off their phones and pay attention to their dogs. read more

For the small dog section it's fairly small. It's not at its cleanest today. Hardly any dogs at the park but saw large dogs taking a walk around the park. Located in the Anaheim public library parking lot, parking was great just noticed few interesting activities. A car getting washed, trash was everywhere on the baseball grass area, and one individual on his phone talking about hooking up (very loud). The small dog section is mostly gravel rocks than grass/dirt. No shade. Water fountain was not working and was really dirty (bring your h2o for your baby). Will skip on this park. read more

Always here not only because it's the closest nice dog park to us, but also because the quality of the place and people are great. This is one of my dog's favorite places and he's a medium Beagle and plays on both sides (large and small dog parks). PLENTY PARKING compared to the other 2 Anaheim community dog parks (Olive Hills and La Palma). It's so nice coming here knowing I don't have to find parking super far or wait for someone to leave. Love the hills and dips on both sides of the parks! Well-maintained place. Only star off is that when it rains, it takes about 2 days or so for them to open back up :( So if it rains, expect to not be able to go for a bit. read more

The day that we decided to go for the first time, the park was unfortunately closed due to weather (although it wasn't raining the day when we went). However, 4 stars are for the grassy areas surrounding the park and ample parking. I still decided to take our pup to walk around the large park area and he had a great time observing other dogs playing. We're working on socialization without engaging in play/interacting with other dogs, so this park was perfect for that given all the space there was to create distance and allow for lots of sniffing. It's rare to find a dog park that's part of a larger park, and the park setup super helpful if you want to train your dog and socialize them around other dogs without having them interact directly with other dogs. We'll definitely be back to do some more training! read more

Very well kept dog park. Just be sure to keep an eye out for poop being left behind by irresponsible dog owners. The dog bag dispensers are all filled with bags so it is really the dog owners not doing their job of picking the dog poop up. Each side (big dog area, or small dog area) is well gated and kept. read more

By far our favorite dog park. We have an 8month old Lab German Shepard mix and he absolutely loves this dog park. The park is only a few months old. It's well maintained with two always working water fountains and three waste stations spread throughout the large breed section. Most dogs we encountered are friendly. The park is closed on Wednesdays for maintenance. Hours are 5:00 am - 10:30 pm. The park does have lights at night and it's really fun to see all the dogs with there glowing collars enjoying play time at night. We bring our guy at least 3x per week. read more

This is the first dog park in the area that I've taken my boy to and he loves it! All of the dogs and owners are nice & they even have some agility equipment for dogs to use while there, the small dog side is a lot smaller compared to the bigger dog side but he always has so much fun nonetheless! read more

this guy doesn't take care of his dog. i approached him nicely and would still NOT get up to get his dog. I have a great dane. I understand the consequences of having a big dog so I try my best to make sure she is okay. But if you're a dog owner like this lazy guy, I would steer away. He kept bothering my dog & his friends were staring at me like I was crazy for getting his dog off mine. I was okay w them playing at first until my dog started growling and giving a warning of her being UNCOMFORTABLE. My dog can maul if she wanted to. But she is so sweet and gentle. So when things like this happen and you're too lazy to watch your dog and the signs they're giving you?! You put dog owners to shame for acting like this. Embarrassing. If my dog was in the wrong I would have taken her out. But no. LAZY. My dog will always face backlash for being bigger... she will defend herself. Shame. Shame on you. And shame on the friends that looked at us as it was "too much." I am my dogs biggest advocate, especially being her breed. New dog park just opened! Very spacious with lots of parking. There are two sides for big dogs & small dogs. I only went to the small dog side for my pup but I can say that the larger side has a lot more space to run! They both have water fountains for the doggies. The small side has two obstacles for the pups to play around in. All owners were friendly and respectful. Had trash bags and a trash can to clean up after your pups. I definitely enjoyed coming to the dog park but the last 3 visits have been horrible!!!! Dog owners bring their aggressive large dogs here... My husky who is 8 months and extremely friendly has been attacked 3 times this last week. This last time we didn't even make it into the park. This dog pushed through the gate and attacked my dog. we have taken our Malinois to this park a half a dozen times. I would rate 4-Stars. Some of the dog parents could be more attentive. This last time was so bad that I feel compelled to leave a one star and will never return. There was an owner that was smoking in the dog park. That was bad but also a strong smell of Marijauna. About 15mins into our visit, our dog started leaning to the side and I had to carry her back to the car. We took her to an emergency clinic where they diagnosed her as having THC (marijauna) and opiates in her system. We are attentive and she loves playing fetch but we do want her to play with others. In the briefest of moments she was poisoned. She stayed the night at the clinic and has to go to her vets today for continued care. we are sitting at $870, but it will be Over $1000 for sure. Closer to 2000. Find a better park and watch your dog. read more
